Here are a few good tips for speaking which I got from my friends...
1. Forget that you know tagalog and any other languange - just use english...
- Don't listen to tagalog songs - only english
- Watch english show only - specially news, history shows/documentaries.
- Speak to anyone in english even though they don't...
2. Prepare for possible cue card topics WISELY... You don't have to research tons of different topics because you can topics interconnect with each other....
- Example: Think of your favorite song, research not only the song but the singer as well. you can use the singer if the question is "Talk about your favorite singer/famous person/artist"
- In my case, I prepare the song "We Are the World" by USA for Africa. (Just enumerating the singers who sang this song will take you more than 1 minute...)
- I planed to use this not only to answer "song" but also for "Charitable Institution", you can also put a twist to this if the question is "favorite part in history" -
- Then if asked who is your favorite historical figure, you can take it from this as well. Example - Michael Jackson, etc....
- Bottomline, you should be creative in your preparation... (look for recent ielts exam question in ielts-blog).

In the LISTENING exam, do the answers to the questions appear chronologically in the passage/conversation that you will be listening to?
For example: answer to question 1 will be in sentence 1, answer to question 2 will be from sentence 2, answer to question 3 will be in sentence 4, answer tp question 4 will be in sentence 6, etc)
Or pwede bang mangyari na yung answer sa question 4 will be at the very first sentence of passage (meaning kailangan mo pang balikan yung notes mo..)

just wondering sa naging results mo sa listening, what did u do na from band 7 to band 8.5 agad? mas naging madali ba ang retake mo? do u think it depends on the topic of the listening? which section of the listening u find tricky, complex?
