Salamat pala guys! at good luck sa ating lahat. Nawindang ako at August na yung pina process ng DIAC. It was way above my expectation.
Remember that they are testing your speaking ability and not argumentative skills haha.

Hehe nakaka-anxious talaga yan. Ganyan din feeling ko dati nun naghihintay. Hahaha. Tapos comparing pa ng sagot. Ano na po kaya nangyari kay @heyitsme7_mags.
Napadalaw me dito sa forum, eto lurker lang muna dito, no comment muna. Basta legal papasukin namin, back to zero nga kami eh, kasi mag e-expire na ACS skills assessment nya. May paraan ang Diyos kung ipapahintulot nya makakarating kami dun in His due time.

In God's time po. I know that we will all achieve our dreams maybe not today but on the coming days in which we let God unfold his plans for each and one of us. Good Luck po sa inyo. Never stop trying ma'am!

^ While we're on the topic, kung magsasanay po kayo ng writing, better practice putting it on paper tapos orasan niyo sarili niyo.

Iba pa rin yung practice na your writing on a sheet of paper while thinking ko the ideas that you need to write. This could give you the feel of the exam while you are still practicing your writing skills.

another tip for writing ; - practice writing with approx 10 words per line.. ( size of font, style, spacing..etc) - once you have done this, you will easily know that if it is required to write 150 words in the essay, that means you need approx 15 lines.. - this will help you check immediately if you satisfy the mininum number of words required..
un lang.. bow!

Thank you po! ngayon lang ako nakabalik sa forum.. sobrang Sayang nga nung 6.5 ko sa writing, d ko po napag isipan na ipa re-mark yung test ko..its been a month since lumabas yung IELTS results ko.. I was thinking po kasi na since 5.5 lang naman ang kailangan ko for school that I don't need na ipa re-mark yung writing ko.. But now parang gusto ko na rin..baka mahatak yung band score ko is it possible kaya na from 6.5, mabigyan nila ako ng 8? ) para maging 9 yung overall band score ko? I have to think this over pa..medyo mahal rin kasi magpa re-mark and hindi naman xa ganun ka important as of now..Naghihintay na po ako ng Letter of Offer from my school para maka pag enroll and maka pag process ng Visa.
Here are the website that I found helpful po sa review.

As Promised, here is how my Test goes in Vienna today :
Listening- Inquiries on day care center, Whale watching dialogue and monologue about the famous photographer and its collections.
* I think I did well with this test but the multiple choices are quite tricky!
Reading- Purchasing New and used cash registers, Company security systems, Bus Services informations and Long passages on Glaciers formation.
* The most tricky part is the True/False/Not Given part but I think I managed it quite well.
Writing- Write a letter to your friend about an object you borrowed which you accidentally destroyed and Task 2 - Some people change careers at some point of their lives? Do you agree or disagree?
* This is quite easy in my part especially on Task 2 because I myself is a career changer. I think that I nailed this test down because I still have enough time left to check my grammar and spelling.
Speaking- Personal questions about jobs, Asking me about how I like dancing, do people dance in the Philippines. Cue card- Talk about old people you love to talk to and why?. Third round- What are the importance, contribution, things to do with, importance and working old people.
* I did manage to answer all the questions but I think I dont like some of my answers on Dancing because Im not into it. On the cue card, I think I speak so fast that I had already spoke like 7 sentences but the interviewer still signaled me to talk more. I had some confusions with the old people questions. though I answered it spontaneously, I'm not sure if I answered the question well.
Overall I'm very satisfied with my general test performance but Im not sure about the speaking. What do you think @Lokijr and @itchan?

Thanks @chefin for sharing, Sa april 21 nmn ako mag eexam...question po, very heavy ba yung accent nung mga speaker and mabilis ba sila magsalita dun sa listening exam mo? San ka kumuha ng exam IDP or british council? Sa reading tricky talaga yung true or false, dun talaga ako nahihirapan at laging nagkakamali sa mga practice test.

@glaiza1210 no problem. I'm here in europe at sa Vienna, British Council Austria ako kumuha. Actually my interviewer was a canadian lady so i had no problem with the accent. Sa listening meron isang conversation na napaka weird ng accent at may isa mali ako doon. Di ko talaga maintindihan yong sinabi nya and after the test tinanong ko sa mga katabi ko at yon pala ang sinabi nya "Apron" at kung bakit ba naman ang bigkas nya ay "Apor". So

@chefin I'm sure you're gonna get your desired results. :-) You have the right attitude towards the exam and you know how you performed. Don't worry about the Speaking test, I also talked a lot and I also didn't like my answer during the Second part but I got an 8. hehehhe Reading is really tricky, I had a lot of time re-reviewing my answers but I only got a 7. Sa writing, you get what you think you'll get. hehe I was not confident with my Writing answer, and so I got a 7. hehe Listening's the easiest for me. :-)

sayang yung speaking!!!!

Remember that they are testing your speaking ability and not argumentative skills haha.

For checking your grammar, spelling, and writing style, etc. - you may want to use this site - http://www.grammarcheck.me/
Another similar site which includes scoring is this one - http://www.whitesmoke.com/free-online-checker
They are all free and I encourage everyone to use them, although they are limited if you compare it to their full version counterpart, but if you combine them altogether, you can at least get somewhere in between.
Extra tools that you may want to try:
- word count - http://www.wordcounttool.com/
- stopwatch - http://online-stopwatch.chronme.com/
Good luck and God bless to all of us.

- practice writing with approx 10 words per line.. ( size of font, style, spacing..etc)
- once you have done this, you will easily know that if it is required to write 150 words in the essay, that means you need approx 15 lines..
- this will help you check immediately if you satisfy the mininum number of words required..
un lang.. bow!

sobrang Sayang nga nung 6.5 ko sa writing, d ko po napag isipan na ipa re-mark yung test ko..its been a month since lumabas yung IELTS results ko.. I was thinking po kasi na since 5.5 lang naman ang kailangan ko for school that I don't need na ipa re-mark yung writing ko..
But now parang gusto ko na rin..baka mahatak yung band score ko

Sa listening meron isang conversation na napaka weird ng accent at may isa mali ako doon. Di ko talaga maintindihan yong sinabi nya and after the test tinanong ko sa mga katabi ko at yon pala ang sinabi nya "Apron" at kung bakit ba naman ang bigkas nya ay "Apor". So

Reading is really tricky, I had a lot of time re-reviewing my answers but I only got a 7. Sa writing, you get what you think you'll get. hehe I was not confident with my Writing answer, and so I got a 7. hehe Listening's the easiest for me. :-)
