what if you're 25 years old and you have a less than 3 years DL sa atin and you passed the DKT, P1 ba? and if you have P1, wala bang minimum time requirement na holder ka ng P1 before applying for P2? di ko kasi mahanap ang sagot..

another thing is, wala naman ata pinagkaiba ang P1, P2 at full license in terms of driving within the city except for car restrictions, plate, alcohol and speed limit. so whether you are holder either of the three, you can still drive. please correct me if I am wrong..

Sa tingin ko kung 25 years old ka na, with more than 12 months but less than 3 years yung license mo sa pinas, bibigyan ka nila ng P2 License. Pero yung sa tanung mo (what if you're 25 years old and you have a less than 3 years DL sa atin and you passed the DKT, P1 ba?) when you passed the DKT (driver knowledge test - computer based), Learner License pa lang muna. Kailangan mo yung learner license para makakakuha ka ng Actual Driving Test, and sa sitwasyon mo, pag naipasa mo yun actual driving test, P2 ang bibigay sayo.

P1- less than 12 months
P2- more than 12 months but less than 3 years
Full - more than 3 years

Sa P1 specified kung auto or manual lang ang pwede mong idrive (base dun sa ginamit mo sa actual driving test). Bukod dun, yung mga sinabi mo lang ang pinagkaiba nya.

another question: do I need a professional license so I would not need to go through P1 & P2 or non-pro is just fine..I just heard from a friend please confirm, anyone please?

A professional license is not required to skip P1 & P2. Kailangan lang at least 3 years old na yong license mo, pro or non pro.

Hi mga sir. Padating kami ng wife ko sa sydney this april 20. Ask ko lang kung paano malalaman ng nsw na more than 3 yrs na ang Phil license mo eh wala namam nakadulas sa card? Kailangan ko pa ba ng certification sa lto? Kakarenew ko lang kasi mg license last yr so matagal pa expiry. Baka isipin ng msw rta eh bago lang ako nagka license. Thanks and hear from you guys soon

There is no tips nor tricks , just practice and practice until you are very comfortable with it maski saan ka idaan ng nag papa driving exam sa iyo e makukuha mo

I took an International Driving Certificate sa DFA before flying over to Sydney last March 21. May silbi ba ito in terms of getting an NSW license? Like would this help me in expediting my application, thereby, bypassing some of the requirements? Or wala lang siya? Extra credit lang?

wala, pwede mo gamitin ph license mo for 3 months kung pr ka

Tanong lang since pwede ko magamit ang Phil DL ko for three months , pag nag take ako ng DKT exam at nakapasa, di ko na ba pwede gamitin ang lisensya ko sa pag drive instead kailangan ko na mag exam for P?

Nag try ako tumawag sa RTA , mukhang mahirap makapasok tagal ko na naka hold

@chesian pwede mo pa din gamitin ang PH licence mo as long as hindi pa lumampas ang 3 months kahit naipasa mo na ang DKT.

TUmawag nga pala ako kanina sa RTA , ang sabi sa akin kailangan ko pumunta sa office o RTA branch para kumuha ng temporary driving permit at iregister yung PH DL ko. Ganun po ba rin ang naging step nung ginamit nyo yung PH Dl nyo for 3 months?

Dito sa Victoria, ganun lang din. Dala ko lang every time yung PH license. Wala pa nga ako Victoria license. Next month pa ako naka-schedule mag-actual driving test. Naipasa ko na ang Knowledge test at Hazard perception test. Dito kasi, 6 months ang validity ng PH License.

Hi guys.

Share lng ako sa experience ko here in Sydney. I took my DKT this morning, sa Hurstville branch, after passing the exam, sinabihan ako na I have 2 options as follows:

Option1: get a Learners license and pay the necessary fee. I cannot use my PH license anymore. Then book a driving test when I feel ready.

Option 2: continue to use my PH license, and book for a driving test when I feel ready. (I asked if I should book the driving test within the 3-month period, sabi nya anytime lang daw when I feel ready)

Note that sabi nya if I pass the driving test, I will be issued a full license since my PH license is more than 3 y.o.

Syempre I chose option 2, save pa ako. And I asked if pwede hingi ng receipt of some sort na nakapasa na ako sa DKT, sabi nya no need na dw, it is already in their system.

But then reading the posts here and the info in their website, parang wala tong ganito eh. Parang too good to be true.

I also have a friend sa Adelaide similar case kami, but dapat lng within 1 yr makakuha at makapasa na sya ng Driving test to be issued the full license at meron pa xa print out ng certificate ng DKT nya in case hanapan sya. Iba nmn rules every state so I can't take this as a reference.

I just want to check if someone here had the same case? Baka kasi na misinterpret ko xa, baka hindi kami nagka intindihan. I was planning to take the driving test later na pag meron na work bt baka dapat within 3months lng pala :-(

hello! If kadarating mo pa lang sa Sydney at PR ang visa mo, pde ka tlga magdrive for 3 mos na gamit ang overseas license mo. Pero dapat magdriving test ka na para after ng 3 mos, pde ka na magdrive dito sa Sydney. Yung learner's test, pde mo rin kunin pero mavvoid mo na ung Ph license mo. Actually I thought need mo tlga ung learner's (DKT) before taking the practical test.

Hello @stolich18. Yes that is also my understanding kaso nga lng aftr pumasa ako sa DKT, pwd dw ako mg drive using my PH license even after the 3-month period and I can also take the driving test even after the 3-month period. So dun ako naguluhan, kc parang contradicting sa info sa site nila.

@kulotski hehee true. ganyan din ung case ng husband ko before he got his unrestricted NSW license. hehehe Pero alam ko pag nakapasa ka sa DKT, iissue-han ka ng letter na hindi mo na pde gamitin ang overseas license mo. ganon ung letter na binigay sa husband ko eh hehe actually magulo nga tlga ang details sa website. Pero what you can do is to focus on passing that practical driving test para may NSW license ka na. :-)

twice na bumagsak si hubby sa practical test

yung scores nya on both are high naman. kaso nung sa first test 106 score nya, pabalik na sila sa RTA may nadaanan sila na road na nalito cya and humawak sa steering wheel yung officer kasi maling lane papasukan nya, sayang kasi pasado nasana, the officer already folded the test sheet, so after the incident he changed it to fail instead of pass. Sa second naman 104 score, babae yung officer and medyo na feel cguro yung kaba nya parang walang tiwala daw sa kanya, and nag fail cya sa 'frequently not making observation checks', according to his instructor dapat exaggerate mo daw yung observation checks during test. Sabi naman ng mga officers marunong na talaga mag drive si hubby yung nga lang dapat daw required talaga ang observation checks.

plan namin bumili nalang ng car and cya nalang mag practice with a friend who is already a Full License driver kasi sobrang mahal na nang nagastos namin sa driving school and sabi ng instructor nya wala na daw cya maituturo, dapat familiarize the roads and sanayan sa checking nalang daw talaga while driving. sana lang talaga pumasa na cya next practical test nya.

I got my license a month ago, from a PH license to a full license.

I spent 175$ for a 5hr driving lesson. Worth it lalo na tinuro sa akin ng instructor ang mga test route - I took mine near my place in Lidcombe.
It is worth the money, lalo pa mahirap bumagsak.

hirap talaga, sobrang gastos bumagsak, hindi pa naman experienced driver si hubby. sana maging ok na next practical test nya, nakakapagod na din mag commute dito eh. sobrang hirap mag groceries, hindi pa kami maka pasyal without our housemates, nakiki-hitch kasi kami, haha...

Oo, with the pressure to pass it gets waay more stressful. I do suggest getting a few lessons to ease him in. What I've found out on these tests is - you fail not because you don't know how to drive, you fail because you lost your composure during the test - relax!

Some also suggest booking for a test in an RTA with high passing %, others doing the test during school holidays - wouldn't hurt to do both, increases your chances.

@moonwitchbleu oo yung sinabi ni paifcarlo na some do the test during school holidays eh convenient talaga since hindi mo na kelangan iwatch yung road na biglang mag40 and speed limit dahil school zone na siya tsaka hindi pa gaanong traffic so less worry.

ang ginawa ko dati dun sa day na magppractical test ako eh nagddrive ako before for 4 consecutive days para mas masanay and yung confidence ko eh mas mataas na (wala kse talaga akong driving experience) so yun it helps kse yung instructor ko naman dun niya ako dinadaan sa routes na test
