@clven1845. Hello po. Med. Tech din po, though naclassify po ako sa AIMS na Medical Laboratory Technician ( I was not able to pass the AIMS Examination to be classified as Medical Laboratory Scientist.) I am visa Subclass 190, sponsored po ng South Australia. Ako I used a Migration agent which is true blue migration services. Ako I opt to use their services kasi mas less yung hassle. as long as you have the means po. I think one of the requirements of AIMS is a IELTS na may OBS na 7. Mas Maganda po kung maipapasa nyo yung AIMS examination since ang Medical Laboratory Scientist is nasa SOL unlike po ang Medical Laboratory Technician is nsa CSOL ( which requires state sponsorship).

@lock_code2004 Ako po kasi initially nagpaassess sa AIMS. They assess me as suitable as Medical Laboratory Technician though licensed Med.

(based on work experience, education). then may one-on-one orientation sa office nila.
bale P60,000 daw yung processing fee, nung 2011 yun. not sure ngayon.

nag-take na pala muna ko ng IELTS bago nagtanong agency. pero kung di pa ko nakapag-take willing daw sila bigyan ako ng IELTS review materials kasama na sa fee.

Subclass 175 ang akin, Skilled Independent.

@clven1845 Hi there sorry for the late reply, I was on holidays kaya hinde nakapacheck sa PinoyAu.

I applied directly so I dont have any experience with a migration agent sorry.

For the assessment go to http://www.aims.org.au/services/assessments AIMS
You have two options, to be assessed as Medical Lab Technician or (like @kcernestine1213 said), upgrade for a Medical Sci and sit for an examination.

If you are to choose between ACT or SA, of course I would recommend SA due to cost of living.
As of the moment nasa Special conditions ang SA State Sponsorship (it was on High availability when I applied 2 years ago)

Hope that helps, any questions just send me a PM

@ Ren & kcernestine1213, thank you sa info. Actually naka-sched na ako for IELTS this coming April, nawa I will make it sa Band score na 7 sa 4 modules. na-pipressure ako especially self review lang ako ngayon at the same time di rin maka-concentrate sobrang pagod na pag-uwi from work kasi 9 hours duty, sa computer pa everyday preparing IPP's para sa CAP accreditation ng lab sobrang pagod na magbasa pa at home. I really plan to take the AIMS exam sabay ng ASCP kasi wherever palarin doon, pero mas priority ko ang AU, wala kasing future sa KSA work lng talaga, at 12 yrs na rin ako dito on the same company. Kaya IELTS lng talaga need ko maipasa for now para matutuloy na pangarap ko. @ lock_code2004 thank you too... :)

@ jaz_2013, i find gigi reliable and dependable... just yesterday, before she left to japan, tinapos nya young lodgment of my skills assessment sa vetassess... i just gave her all my docs and say na young nag process from aus. and almost everyday, we keep constant email communication, answering my questions. and k_mavs is correct, mababa and fee nya compared sa mga agents ditto sa uae. almost half the price sya,

In fairness may mga RMA's na maasikaso at talagang gagabayan ka, they are pricey though. I guess engaging their services make perfect sense pag hirap ka sa initial requirements (i.e. wala trabaho mo sa SOL, mababa IELTS, medyo may edad na)...nakakatulong sila hanapan ka ng paraan para makakuha ng visa hehe

@meL23..Thanks for that.. Same case din samin, but unfortunately hndi kmi na include sa PR visa ng dad namin as dependent kasi over age kmi. But on the other side were fortunate enough ksi nkaapply kmi ng visa namin on our own sponsored by our employer and got granted.. Hndi ksi nag agent c dad nung nag apply xa at ngka mis understood cla ng employer nya. But anyway, ok na rin un..

At marami din akong kakilala na over age na, pro naisama pa rin as dependent sa application ng dad nla. Sa pgkakaalam q nag agent cla at nag enroll lg sa Tafe to be considered as dependent.

So lahat pla kayo over age na nung nag apply kayo ng PR, ur lucky enough at nasama kayong lahat.

@nfronda Yes, we are indeed :) That's why I accepted his offer to work for him, so I can help with other Filipinos who aspire to live and work in this beautiful country. I personally believe that the rigorous study they have undergone to get their license to practice migration law is a major advantage in any visa application, something that we cannot hope to learn in the period of time it takes to process an application. In all honesty there is no guarantee that your application will get granted if you engage the help of migration agent, but then again, so will it be if you handle it alone. The edge of having a migration agent is the assurance that you have someone helping you who knows what they're doing. They understand the ins and outs of Australian immigration rules and requirements, and the reason why those are such. Some people might be concerned with the professional fees, and let me tell you I know where you're coming from. But at the end of the day, money is of no value when it is not spent accordingly, just a colored piece of paper that mediates trade. I suggest that you initially check for migration agents through recommendations of friends and workmates, then take the time to talk to each of them so you'll have an idea of the workload division and the agent's PF as well. Australia is a country of wonder, although I must say that my heart will always belong to the Philippines. But if there is an opportunity to be where the grass is greener, why let it pass? :)
