Hi ms Cassey, hope you're fine and thanks for your prompt response. I appreciate your effort, talagang tumawag ka pa. Salamat uli. Review muna ako if ano pwede maging plan b.
Question lang po about AHPRA requirements to get the letter of eligibility for bridging.
Thank you,

@bOgs_25 i think with recency of practice winth the kast 5 years dapat nkapag work ka as RN. mejo mahirap yung case mo for the bridging course (not sure about this) but i suggest for you to take the bachelors degree na conversion. it would depend on the school kung ilan ang i credit sayo so it would be either 1 year or 2 years. sa case ko 2 years ako volunteer. 2013 grad. volunteer 2013-2015 tas lipad. in some ways nagagamit xa pg apply ng job. but with points for residency, ut has to be at least 3 years paid overseas exp pra mka points. kulang pa ako sa points sa exp and age kaya aral2 muna png extend ng visa

@kymme, i'm planning to get the conversion course instead of bridging course. Hopefully, i won't be having any problem for APHRA registration after finishing the course. With regard to PR, I'm still studying the point system to get at least 60 pts. Konti nlang naman eligible kna for pr. Best of luck and thank you!

@lleann0078 If you have a hospital experience for at least 3yrs especially pag specialty areas (Theater, etc) hindi mahirap makahanap ng work.

@lleann0078 Okay lang yun, hubby ko is 2009 to 2012 pa yung work experience niya, madali lang siyang nakanahap ng work after niya makaregister last year. The PR application didn't take long so it was a good decision.

@Cassey thanks very much. Sobrang helpful ng mga reply Nyo. Medyo KC pinanghihinaan aq ng loob to continue with the bridging program KC medyo pricey din sya.

@lleann0078 Pricey siya but it's a good investment, Kung umuwi ka man after your course, you can still apply for PR sa Phils. Apply na while they still need a lot of nurses here in Au. All the best. God bless.

Hello, newbie here.. any idea what school is good for bridging course? i heard may mga schools na mahirap daw yung studies meron ok lang or di ganun ka-effort sa pag-aaral? is it true?
I'm going to send my COGS from PRC po. Yung letter kasi na ganun kaliit 1k+ daw po price for express mail which is 5-7 business days. Ask ko po sana ano experience niyo regarding their services and which service po kinuha niyo?

@aj.skywalker Usually, it takes a week bago sila magconfirm. You can always email them, okay yung Customer Service nila.

Registered Nurses from the Philippines who want to gain registration here in Australia needs to study first. They can either:
1. Take the BRIDGING COURSE. (Requires 450 hrs of work experience within the past 5 yrs and a certain mark must be met for the English test) Duration is only 3 months. If you can't find an employer to sponsor you, you'll have to go back to the Philippines. * Regardless though you can still apply for PR once you've finish your course.*
2. Do the CONVERSION COURSE. This may take a year or 2 depending on the uni you'll be enrolling in.
You'll need an English Test, whatever pathway you choose. If it's a voluntary work, you have to provide an evidence and AHPRA will have to assess your experience.

Thank you po maam, tinwagan po ako ng IHNA, sarado na daw sila for this year. I'm looking or other schools pero nasa 12 weeks na ibang schools. Does that mean kailangan ko na po mag student visa?

Wala po kasi akong nabasa regarding that. If I have a document CTCd and notarised not more than 2 years ago, will it still be valid for submission? thanks
CasseyMelbourne, Australia Posts: 2,812Member, Moderator Joined: Sep 07, 2015
@jouneytoaus There's actually no clear answer to that. Depende siguro kung anong klaseng document, as long as what the document claims is valid and factual then it should be okay.

Registered Nurses from the Philippines who want to gain registration here in Australia needs to study first. They can either:
1. Take the BRIDGING COURSE. (Requires 450 hrs of work experience within the past 5 yrs and a certain mark must be met for the English test)
Duration is only 3 months.
