Hello Guys follow up question po. When applying for VISA 189 po kailangan po ba na may IELTS ang husband ko po? Naguguluhan kasi kami some would say YES some would say NO you just need to provide parang statement na English is the language used in teaching in College and High School. Your clarifications will be deeply appreciated.

@ZboyandAngel Is your hubby the main applicant or a dependent? If he is a dependent he just have to provide a Certificate that English is the medium of instruction that was used in college.

Hello guys. Just want to ask some help, ang hubby ko po is in student visa and now taking up Accountancy in Melbourne. Pinoy po sya, nauna sya pumunta sa OZ at nakipagsapalaran, mag 1 year na sya doon. I’m a registered nurse here in the Philippines and sa aesthetic field po ako for almost 4 years. Thank you so much sa magrespond.

Hi im just new here :) i just want to clarify:if may 2 yrs kang nursing experience dto sa pinas for the past 5 yrs qualified ka for iron or bridging program?so ang first step is to pass the ielts(or oet or pte) pra you have the prerequisite to apply sa mga universities? No need to be assessed first by aphra? Im planning to do it on my own since i have limited financial resources :( thank you :)

Hi maam, yes, as long as you have nursing experience of 3 months or more po for the last 5 years pde na po kayo mag apply for registration sa AHPRA then bbgyan po kayo ng referral letter for bridging program. Yes din po na first step is to pass an english exam kasi po requirement ni AHPRA yun pag nagsubmit po kayo ng documents for registration.

Ang gagawin niyo po is pass the english exam, then apply for registration kay AHPRA, then finish bridging program, then apply for registration kay AHPRA po ulit.

@marierenz Hi, you can do a bridging course for 3mos. Actually if you are going to ask me mas malaki ang chance mo to apply for PR. Medyo tight na kasi ang Accountancy. The requirements are on the first page of this thread. The first thing that you need to do is to have your English test and apply to AHPRA to get a letter of eligibility to do the bridging and you can go from there.

@Pheony IDP and AECC have free services. You can book and see if they can assist you with your application. You need to have a Letter of Eligibility from AHPRA to do a bridging course.

@iamyourangel08 Oo start as soon as you can. Dito kasi sa Au, very fast yung changes parang every year may bago, talagang inaadapt nila yung policies sa present situation.

@ZboyandAngel No worries, if that's the case he doesn't need to take IELTS. He also needs to submit documents such as TOR and Diploma to prove na nakapagcollege siya. :)

Hi miss @Cassey Thanks po sa pagsagot. Buti nga po naconfirm ko yan about sa experience regarding state nomination. Bukod po sa victoria hindi ko po makita sa website ng ibang states ung required experience but I'll keep looking. Last option ko po is to get 79+ sa PTE para maka 60 points. Currently I have 55 points lang.

By the way, may concern po sana ako on my situation and any advice po from this forum is much appreciated.

Nurse po ako here sa pinas with 2 yrs experience (2010-2012) and currently working po sa isang Health insurance corp. as Social health insurance assistant. Mother ko po nasa Brisbane and she wanted me to go there as student visa (as toursit visa po xa doon), and na refer po ako sa Tafe southbank sa brisbane. Yung next option ko po for me to get the visa is mag enroll sa Tafe. This month lang po nagsubmit na ako ng papers with the help of AECC sa school and after a week nagbigay na po sila ng offer letter with courses Certificate 3 individual support (ageing) for 6 months and Diploma of nursing ( 2 years validity). Then someone told me ( friend from sydney) na mahihirapan daw ako sa courses na ito kase full time daw to sa tafe, baka mahirapan ako makahanap ng work. Hihingi po sana ano ng advice on what to do or a better pathway po. Thank you po tlaga!!! Godbless you guys!

@DezzA Hi, if you really want to be a registered nurse here in Au you can either do a bridging course which may take 3mos to finish or do the 1yr conversion course (around $13k yung narinig ko na least expensive). With the tuition fee, it's not a one off payment naman. In my opinion, it would be best to do either of the two rather than get a course that would not lead to Permanent Residency. Sayang naman yung time mo. Besides, immigration rules may change anytime. Not only that, AHPRA policies keep on changing as well. And if you haven't read it yet, they will be introducing new means to assess overseas nurses. So while they have not introduced the new changes yet, grab the opportunity. Baka may magawa rin mom mo and maybe you can ask help from your relatives. Anyway, all the best.

@DezzA You're welcome. For 1yr conversion, there's no need.

Thank you!!

@DezzA How I wish it's true. Unfortunately, hindi ganun kadaling maghanap ng sponsor especially kung wala kang experience let's say as an EN (Diploma course) lalo na ngayon na kakabago lang ng rules with 457 Visa.

salamat po mam @Cassey, at least clear na po saakin about bridging. Meron din po pala namention saakin ng kaibigan ng mom ko po pero parang medyo alanganin ako to take the risk. Accordingly, kukuha na lang muna ako ng cert 3 aged care for 6 months sa tafe for my entry as student visa then after that doon na ako magpassess sa aphra for bridging or conversion course for another student visa (if ever conversion ang makuha ko) is this possible po ba?

@DezzA You can do that too but you'll be wasting time and money if you do that. Mind you they will be introducing 2 exams for registration of internationally qualified nurses. Kaya marami ang nagmamadali na magtake ng bridging before the year ends. Anyway, it would all depend on your preference and your purpose.
