@diazepamie Hi, from what i know, i think you need to have at least 3mos of full time paid experience within the last 5yrs for AHPRA Registration and to get a positive ANMAC skill assessment as well.
I've called AHPRA and ANMAC numerous times to confirm but all they say is they couldn't assess over the phone which is totally understandable. There is no clear cut answer because it would all depend on your personal circumstances that's why they need to see your papers.
Ahpra directed me to this link though:
    http://www.nursingmidwiferyboard.gov.au/Registration-and-Endorsement/International.aspx
They said to have a self assessment and see if you meet the requirements.

Once done with these, you can already apply for PR. You will only need 3yrs overseas experience or 1yr Au experience (minimum exp) if you're claiming points for it in your PR Application. Lapit na :) All the best!

@diazepamie hi po . ako din yan ang tanung if kailangan ba talga ng experience before mag pa assess. I've read the Professional Practice requirements in ANMAC's official website. and may nakalagay duon. "Professional references are not required if you are a recent graduate and your only qualification is from Australia or New Zealand. All other nurses and midwives should submit a professional reference which represents a minimum of three months, full time equivalent, paid work."
SO does it mean kaya na we dont need an experience na kase fresh grad in AU naman tayo? maybe pwede mo din iverify by calling them or asking your school? tas sabihan mo ako ha if anu balita. ako kase mag start pa lang mag aral this july and yan din concern ko in the future.

eto din nakita ko sa registration sa APHRA

Does this standard apply to me?
This registration standard applies to all:
    • enrolled nurses, registered nurses and midwives
    • applicants for registration as an enrolled nurse or registered nurse or a midwife
    • registered nurses and midwives applying for an endorsement, and
    • enrolled nurses, registered nurses and midwives renewing registration including those with an endorsement.
This standard does not apply to those with non- practising registration or to recent graduates or students of nursing or midwifery.

@aishee5 i have a friend na graduate ng 2 years study here in Au and applied for anmac skill assessment. Nirequire sya ng anmac magpass ng professional reference pero sinabi nya na wala sya 3 months work experience overseas, instead pinagpass na lang sya ng stat dec. He received his lod this month and suitable for migration naman. i think hindi naman required yung experience basta importante registered ka na sa ahpra as RN before ka magpa-assesss sa anmac.

@JapsRN Hi, not necessarily.. If your IELTS result is still valid then there's no need to take another one.

@diazepamie Hindi naman required as long as you meet the 60 points for migration and as long as makakakuha ka ng positive assessment from ANMAC. There's a certain ANZSCO code for Nurses who don't have experience. I think it's 254499.

@diazepamie I called ANMAC and asked if an experience is needed for overseas nurses for the positive LOD, what the staff told me is kapag overseas nurse hinahanapan ng minimum of 3months na work experience pero kapag wala you just need to get a statutory declaration stating why you don't have an experience.

@Cassey thank you po! hehe na bother ko pa kayo to check ANMAC. Although I read this phrase sa website dn nila....

I am a recently graduated international student, newly registered in Australia or New Zealand.
You must submit evidence to meet criteria 1, 3 and 5

You meet criteria 2 (English Language)

Criteria 4 (Professional Practice) does not apply to you

@diazepamie Walang anuman. I'm curious din kasi, hehe
Yung phrase na yan refers to those who only have Nursing qualifications obtained here in Australia but sa mga overseas nurses like yourself they do require pero kung wala talaga a Stat Dec will do.

@Cassey in my case Ms. Cassey, do you think I still need it? Ang pagkakaintindi ko kasi is once I graduate here as an international student in a certified Australian Institution and get registered with APHRA after (with the all 7 IELTS score of course) will make me fall under this scheme (Criteria 4- Professional Practice won't apply). please, let me know what you think hehe. Thanks!!!!

@Cassey but in any case, it's safe to just make a statutory declaration na lang na wala akong overseas nursing experience. And, I won't claim any points too for the professional experience (overseas & australian exp) para sa points testing ng mga GSM visas.

@diazepamie I clarified that phrase with ANMAC and sabi that only refers to those international students na walang ibang qualification kundi yung dito sa Australia. Kumbaga, they are not registered anywhere else. Since RN ka na sa atin, you really have to submit a Stat Dec stating the reason/s why you don't have experience. Sabi naman sa ANMAC it should be okay basta you have the Stat Dec. :)

Hello guys hope all is well. Gusto ko lang po sana iclarify kailan po ba mag sstart icount ang 12-14 weeks of processing time sa ANMAC? From the time you made an online application po ba or from the time na nagreach out ang ANMAC sakin confirming that the documents have been received?

Thanks in advance and God bless!
