Same here. Yung feeling na ang ayos ayos ng buhay sa pinanggaling mo then pagpunta mo dito e parang ang hirap. Looking for a job as well pero di pa sineswerte kaya naguubos nalang muna ako ng oras sa pag self-study, para nadadagdagan qualification sa resume habang tumatagal.

electronics/hardware/r&d design ako pre. thailand ka di ba? manufacturing environment na product engineer ka ba? kung product engineer sa manufacturing environment ka, medyo madalang din yung opportunity kasi pag nagfilter ako ng mga jobs, sinasama ko na yung mga trabaho pang manufacturing, kahit nga pang buong australia )

bakit perth napili ko? andito kasi ate ko. hehe. pero melbourne talaga preference ko. yung work natin madami sa melbourne at sydney kaso di man lang sila namamansin. haha. nagfofollow up nga ako sa kanila kaso malalaman mo na lang na may mga na shortlist na sila.

Hi,
Nakkain spire basahin ang sharing dito. As for me, it wasn't easy as well looking for job let alone temp or fulltime. But it does not mean it's impossible.

Some tips others have tried:
- spent a few dollars for a native-speaker to add a more professional Cover Letter and CV; you just need to edit and fine-tune later on for succeeding applications
- modified, enriched, or restyled CV to include cross skills--abilities you may not have had formal training yet you've been able to gain a substantial exposure to
- if you know someone in another state where there is a prospective job opening but you live in another state, your friend might say yes for you to use his address on your application( it worked for me; just be prepared to arrange for an immediate plan in case you're called for an interview )

BEST of all, is to pray!!! To cover you with grace to be patient and forgiving not just towards those employers who may have made you feel worthless ( even if it's just your thinking ) But more so towards yourself-- because you are somebody and valuable!!

Product Engineer ako sa Semiconductor plant brad, wafer and package testing linya ko talaga, then may experience din sa project management ng new products.

Sydney or Melbourne target ko, although flexible naman kung saan ba makakahanap ng trabaho eh, advantage lang kasi sa SYD ( and also soon in MEL) may direct flight na mura lagi to Pinas…

Posting again here... Si hubby started jib hunting na din. He arrived a week ago. Nung friday lang kasi kami nakabitan ng internet. Civil engineering background. Baka may alam kayo guys. Tinatry ko talga encourage si hubby na wag paghinaan ng loob kasi kahit labourer d siya makascore ng chance. If only i could also work. Hopefully all of us makahanap na ng job.

may mga docs pa kasi akong kailangang ma-produce bago i-submit ang eoi like yung police report ni misis from abroad na ang tagal bago dumating. saka pasko na tinamad na ako mag-ayos ng iba pang docs, hehe.

@jepoy527 sensya na sir ha...bigla kasi ako nag worry...medyo critical kasi ang case ko...possible kasi lumabas ang assessment ko around last week of october or first week ng november...kaso 2nd week of november mag birthday kasi ako kaya need ko mabilisan makapagsubmit ng eoi para hindi bumaba points ko kasi pag nag birthday ako less 5 points ako kasi mag 33 na ako...sa pagkakaintindi ko sa eoi dba english test at skills assessment lang naman ang need ipasa for the initial then pag nagka ita na dun ako magsubmit ng mga nbi at kung ano anung clearance...baka pwede po pahingi advice or baka mamaya meron ako na mislook na important documents na needed pa sa pagsubmit ng eoi...ok na kasi ako sa english test need ko na lang ay skills assessment na still waiting for a positive outcome...

@jrgongon check mo rin kung kailan ka dapat mag-lodge ng application kasi alam ko by points ang pag-invite nila - mas uunahin nilang i-invite yung mas mataas ang point. alam ko twice a month ata sila nag-grant ng EOI. tignan mo rin yung timing nung invitation period para alam mo kung makaka-abot ka.
isa pa, gawin mo na yung draft ng EOI mo kasi madaming sasagutan dun, aabutin ka ng 1~2 days para lang sa pag-gawa nun. saka ihanda mo na credit card mo para sa pagbayad ng visa.
if all else fails, kailangan mong maka 7 sa lahat ng bands sa ielts para mabawi mo yung 5 points na nawala sayo sa age mo.

I've looked at a couple of resume and interviewed prospective candidates. Some of the observations I've noticed were:
-boring resume; need to sell yourself more; check your grammar, align your skills with the job requirement
-don't be late, number 1 rule
-google some good resume layout
-rehearse/practice the interview
-research the company and give some good (preferably not cheesy) remarks why you want to work with the company
-be enthusiastic/positive

wag masyado trust ang seek, some of the jobs there may be "fake", recruiters post them to gather resume. Though meron din naman legit na postings, you just gotta check carefully. Mas sa linkedin ako naghahanap ng job postings, directly from the companies themselves.

Hello! Hingi lang po sana ng advice. Dito po ako s south Australia, I'm currently holding a temporary permanent visa. Gusto ko pong magwork dito kaya lang di ko alam kung ano qualifications nila.
Teacher ako sa pinas with 6 years of experience. Any chance na makapag work ako dito as a teacher?
