I have been reading all the posts and comments on this thread like a week ago and I have just decided to join right now, it's really very informative. Anyway, I have just lodged my subclass 309 partner visa just last March 27,2013 then by the end of April last month I have just able to send my additional documents which is the NBI and a few emails of my partner and I had without even having the Case Officer nor the embassy asking me to do so,its only the VIA officer when I passed my application says that I should get a NBI and call their call center to submit it. What worries me a bit is that on the purpose of my NBI I have stated that it's for IMMIGRATION REQUIREMENT.
I've been checking the Embassy's website though and I am very glad to see that they're now processing/assessing/allocating applicant's lodged until April 5,2013 for the partner visa so yeah finger's crossed for me.
As of 6 May 2013, the Visa and Immigration Office is processing/assessing/allocating applications lodged within the period indicated below.
Visa Sub-class Permanent Visa Category Application Lodgement Dates*
Partner Visa Applications (309, 100, 300) 5 April 2013

MOC stand's for Medical Officer of the Commonwealth which is based in Australia, they are gonna be the one to assess your health examinations reports. check mo to http://www.immi.gov.au/allforms/health-requirements/assessment-health-exam-results.htm...
I'm also a de facto partner visa applicant.

Sa Australia yan, ganyan nga din ang response ng embassy saken that they are waiting for the results of my medical... 8weeks b ang tagal nman, almost 2 months pa. Nabasa n rin ng husband ko n they are now having 4 months backlog as there are so many assylim seekers rin n nghihintay ng decision with regards their medical. Eh cla tumatawid lng by boat. Lets be patient.

for my understanding lang po huh, eh pag may findings na nakita ang case officer mo sa health examination reports mo eh that's the time they're gonna refer it to MOC, co'z if wala naman they can be cleared by the visa processing officer as what they stated on their assessment of health Examination Results on their website of immi.

then this week nag email ako to followup kase wala na akong narinig sa CO ko, yun na ang nag reply sakin Aussie na yun nga daw na refer sa MOC...
Pero naka highlight naman sa email nya na within processing time pa rin daw ako which is 6 to 9 months, so yun positive pa rin ako kahit papano.
More prayers...

Dear xxxxx
Thanks for your email.
We are currently waiting on the medical results to be verified by a Medical
Officer of the Commonwealth (based in Australia). Please note that this
can take some time and expect that we will get a response from the MOC in
approximately 8 weeks. A decision on this case cannot be made until a
response is received by the MOC nor can I escalate this case.
Your case was lodged on October 2012 and you should be aware that we take
6-9 months to process partner visa applications.
We appreciate your patience in this matter but feel free to send a follow
up email in 8 weeks if you have not heard from this office.
Regards
xxxxx

Then since tourist ung visa nya ndi sya covered ng medicare at walang insurance kaya ang gastos. Ayun after ilang balik sa specialist naging ok nman na visa grant sya total time inabot ay 3 months from the time na nag lodge ng application until ma approve.

I lodged mine on March too which is on the 27th but as of now wala pa rin akong natanggap sa kanila.
