Life and Schooling of an Accounting Major

Hi guys! Created this thread specifically for Accounting Major Students. Gusto ko lang malaman if okay naman po mag aral ng accounting sa Oz. Mahirap po ba ang Accounting subjects? And also what Accounting Branch have you enrolled (Cert.IV, Diploma, Adv. Diploma, Bachelor or Masters)

MBAC here, double degree business admin and professional accounting. mas nahirapan ako sa business subjects compare sa accounting subjects. kung may solid accounting undergraduate degree, it's easy-peasy.

@ChefMa maganda as in it would benefit me? Yes, set aside the accounting, you will also learn about commercial/corporate and income tax law in Australian setting. so yes, para sa akin may advantage siya. Sa job opportunities, quite competitive.

@agentKams As for may case I'm planning to study po sana ng Certificate IV Accounting and Diploma of Accounting sa AU. After nun is it enough kaya to attract employer to hire me there? I'm really anxious right now kasi parang taas na ng needed points for an accountinf major to apply PR in OZ

@ChefMa to be honest, very competitive ang accounting job market you need to have extra skillset aside sa accounting, like tax, finance, payroll etc. Also, CA/CPA certification kadalasan hanap nila for an accountant position,but likely namn na maeemploy ka just be prepared. yes mataas na ang points ang naiinvite ngayon, i got mine at 85 points.

@agentKams I'm currently working here po and I bave 2 years Experience in accounting, finance and taxation. Im 23 years old right now. Baka madami na kasing accounting major na anjan din worried ako na baka masayang 2 years study ko kung di ako makakahanap work jan

@ChefMa hindi lang kasi asians and Aussie locals ang kakumpetensiya mo dito, may mga british, europeans and americans din. kaya expect to be very competitive. as long as maprove mo na your worth hiring, i am pretty sure you can find work. laban lang.
