Hi I have a step uncle pero supero layo na ng degree who has a business in australia. They’re looking for an accountant tapos ako daw sana. Is he eligible to nominate me through this visa? Or may approved list of employers na naka set? Also, another worry is that I have no work experience related to accounting kasi I’ve been working as an accounts receivable manager which is wala sa SOL. Okay lng ba yun? I’m a CPA tho. May number of years ba for work experience na kailangan?

    Hi All,

My wife and I are currently holding 457 visa and on going application for Permanent Residency, Under sponsorship ng company na pinapasukan ko. Nakapag submit na kami ng final documents as requested by case officer. Since then wala pa kami ulit natatangap na updates from my agent. Dapat na ba ko magpanic na baka di ma-approve yung PR application namin? Thank you

@Mr3D Kelan ka po nag-apply at kelan ang last CO contact? As of April 2019, 186 visa processing can take up to 13 months according to DoHA.

@cucci Last year pa kami nag-apply. March 2018. Last kami naconntact ng CO was April 9, 2019 thru my agent.

Hi, need some advice on how to do this. My employer is willing to sponsor my visa pero mahihirapan ako sa direct entry stream dahil kailangan pa ng assessment from Engineers Australia, sa Labour Agreement stream ba no need na ng assessment from Engineers Australia? Thank you

@Francisco0789 If your prospective employer has entered into labour agreement with the Australian government. they you can use the pathway. As to the skills assessment, as stated below We might ask to get a skills assessment that shows you have the skills to work in the position. Do not get an assessment unless we ask you to.

    Eligibility
Be working under a labour agreement
You must currently work, or will work, for your employer under a labour agreement.

You must have suitable English language skills, experience, skills and other attributes for the position. The labour agreement will provide guidance on these.

We might ask to get a skills assessment that shows you have the skills to work in the position. Do not get an assessment unless we ask you to.

    Licensing, registration or membership
You must be licensed, registered or a member of a professional body if it is mandatory in the state or territory you intend to work in.

Companies with existing labour agreements are listed here.

@cucci Hi thanks for the reply.

As far as I know walang labour agreement yung employer ko but is willing naman to sponsor me and apply for one as per our conversation. I just thought na kaya ko asikasuhin yung Visa 189 on my own pero parang mahihirapan ako kumuha ng mga certificate of employments ko from my previous companies and if makakuha man ako eh generic lang ibibigay nila without the detailed job descreption and responsibilities. My only concern was if my employer enters in to a labour agreement then hingan ako ng assessment from Engineers Australia eh mahirapan din kami at mabalewala ang lahat :(

    Licensing, registration or membership
You must be licensed, registered or a member of a professional body if it is mandatory in the state or territory you intend to work in.

What does this mean? Engineers Australia registered dapat?

    I really appreciate your help.

@Francisco0789 Sorry no idea as to the licensing body(ies) for engineers.

Whether you go for 189 or 186, I think the requirement to prove your experience and skills will always be there and prima facie proof of these is your employment certifications and other documents.

If you cannot get a detailed CoE from HR, there is the option to ask a former supervisor/colleague to furnish a statutory declaration/affidavit stating some facts that may not be available in the provided CoEs, like detailed job description, etc.

@cucci ah yes, I've read that we can use a statutory declaration/affidavit from supervisors. The problem is that it has to be with the company's letter head right? Some of my former supervisors changed companies already. Anyway I'll see what I can do, I really appreciate your help. I'll do more research for now. More power!

@Francisco0789 Stat Decs/Affidavits are legal documents and need not be in company letterhead, afaik.

@cucci oh that's good! Can I do this, ask for a generic certificate of employment from the manpower agency that employed me then ask for an affidavit from my former manager detailing my roles and responsibilities and get it notarized? thanks, I really appreciate your response.

Oh, and by detailed COE what does it have to contain?

    2.4.1. Standard Competency Demonstration Report
    Assessment:
Applicants who have claimed engineering employment for
more than 12 months or have based their career episode
upon professional experience must provide a reference
letter from the employer (reference letter on official company
letterhead, stating your title/position, commencement and
termination dates of employment, signed and dated by the
    author
    ).

    Just these?

    Thank you very much @cucci!

@Francisco0789 As I am not familiar with how EA handles the skills assessment process, I cannot give an objective answer, however, generally, whatever is lacking in the CoE provided by your previous employer/manpower agency can be supplemented by duly notarized affidavits from your supervisor/manager specially pertaining to itemization of specific job functions as required by EA.

@Francisco0789 in lieu of the skill assessment, you can wait for 3 years for Temporary Residence Transition (TRT). Of course, DE is very ideal since we don't need to wait for 3 years. Just work on that skills assessment thing, good luck!

I have one generic COE under the company's letterhead, supported with payslips, and then I just asked one ex-colleague to do a stat decl. ACS acknowledged my experience for that employment episode.

@DreamerA Thanks po... actually 2 weeks after visa lodging... laking gulat ko nga kasi expected na aabot ng 13 months ayon sa estimate. RN po ako. Na-CO contact dahil di agad nakapagpa-medical due to red flag. Siguro kung nakapagpa-medical eh nung CO contact day ay granted na... basically masasabing "decision-ready" din kasi ang pag submit... all docs submitted at lodging.

    Skilling Australians Fund levy

As the employer, you must pay the Skilling Australians Fund (SAF) levy.

You must not pass the levy on to the visa applicant. The purpose of the levy is for employers to contribute to the broader skills development of Australians.
