@rnmh sagot ako sa mag-asikaso ng documents:

Bank - yes, pwede na. Para pwede mo rin maitransfer ang baon nyo before your BM.

TFN or tax - pwede naman pero take note na once na kumuha kayo nito before the fiscal year ends (July), kelangan nyo magpasa ng tax form on or before Oct31 kahit di kayo run nagwowork or no income doon. I forgot what it's called pero something about no tax chever.

Medicare - I wont recommend especially if you're over 31 years old. We got ours, then pagdating ng letter, it says na we need to get our own private insurance if we're over 31 na. I forgot kung anong implications nito but definitely may effect in long term. Try mo nalang search. Hehe.

Centrelink - no sense if wala kayong anak. Most of the benefits na nakukuha agad ng new migrants ay may kinalaman sa bata. Others, you need to wait around 2 years before makaclaim. :)

In our case nauna si hubby (dependent) since wala naman sa visa conditions na ako (primary) muna mauna before sya maka pag IE. Hope this helps. :-)

    PTE Writing Tips

For writing essay I used E2 language format and applying what I learned from Ielts. Sa intro, sa 1st sentence ni restate ko lang yung question using my own words. Then sa 2nd sentence if one sided lang yung question, I give summary of the reasons ( 2 reasons only). Example, if ang essay is about importance of computers (one sided), eto 2nd sentence ko. Computers are valuable resources as they (1st reason) aid in learning and are (2nd reason) used to communicate with others. Then sa 3rd sentence sasabihin ko para pampahaba-- In this essay, I shall discuss my point of view by giving points and examples about the topic.

Mga 2 sentences na magsupport sa 1st reason, like if yung 1st reason ko is aid in learning, expand ko ang topic by answering how computers aid in learning, etc. Usually yung reason mo convert mo by asking how, what, when, or who. Tapos sa 3rd sentence, I state examples.

4Th paragraph 1st sentence conclusion, then 2nd sentence recommendation.

If 2 sided naman yung intro pwede mo gamitin yung nasa template like kina Heprex na samples. Then yung 2nd par yung kabilang side, then yung 3rd paragraph yung other side. Tapos same last paragraph.

If nahihirapan ka mag construct ng idea try to research as much as possible. Google mo yung mga common or recent topics on pte writing tapos may mga sample questions dun,, then research mo ano possible answers para sa actual exam may idea kana ano isasagot. Tapos dpat familiarize mo mga connectors (like moreover, therefore, for instance, etc) kasi mas mataas ang grade kapag medyo complex ang sentence na ginagamit mo kesa simple sentences lang.

For summarize written text strategy ko is to first get ano main topic. Then analyze what important points were given, may nangyari ba? If you can answer who/what, when, how and why about the topic pwede mo na pagdugtungin yung ideas mo thru connectors and form a sentence. If you will have multiple paragraphs, summarize mo muna per paragraph then summarize mo ulit lahat in one sentence

Another tip also in writing as much as possible do not repeat the same words. If you dont have much stored knowledge about synonyms okay lang. Practice and Research is the key. Kaya malaki ang help sa akin yung pag research sa mga common or recent topics kasi while practicing pwede akong mghanap ng synonyms then mas madali ko syang ma recall sa actual exam kasi nagawa ko na sya before. Tapos if meron kayong word na ma encounter na parang hirap kayo mag elaborate, google nyo din anong synonym or phrases na pwedeng same meaning ng word. Share ko yung nilista kong mga synonyms na possible na magagamit sa mga essay kasi minsan these are the topics commonly asked.

@caienri very same concern here with rnmh. Follow up question ko lang is, in case of emergency na nagkaroon lang kami ng funds lets say in the 4th year of the visa or 1 year na lang mapapaso na ang PR visa, allowed pa din ba kami na pumunta in AUS then no exits na? Then stay there for the duration na pwede na eligible na kami to apply for citizenship? Is that possible? Thanks, we're planning to start applying maybe June or July this year but due to some financial responsibilities we might push our long-term stay there for at least a few years. Thank you

@Archjess0309 basta nakapag IE na kayo okay na yun. Even if sa 4th year pa kayo magdecide to move permanently. Ang maaapektuhan lng jan ay yung timeline for citizenship application and if ever need nyo umalis ng AU AFTER ma expire yung visa validity which is five years, need nyo mag apply ng return visa.

@quantum may levy ka na babayaran if walang private insurance. They dont want people to just rely on the govt itself. :)

@SGtoAU Nagapply ako through Smart Teachers tapos bigla ako kinontak ng HR ng DET then nirefer ako sa agent nila para magasikaso ng paghanap sakin ng school na pupuntahan. Bale mabilis ang process kasi kakapirma ko lang ng kontrata this February then may nomination na ko agad. One year na nila ako hinihintay. Currently ina-assess din credentials ko and at the same time visa processing na din.

Pa-melbourne po kami and we will be staying sa Airbnb for a month. Family of 3 po kami. Ask ko lang po sa mga Melbourne based po, any recommendation po ng suburbs? We will be staying in chadstone for a month while doing house / job hunting. Any suggestions po san maganda? Sana po may makaadvise sa amin. Thank you.

@SGtoAU And also, walang bayad.

    1. Accts - Kami halos SG accounts, maintain pa din namin including CC pero big part din ng savings is ni-move namin sa AU acct namin. May mga banks na nag oofer ng good interest rates so sayang din, at least natubo kahit papano.

    2. Property - same. Maintain lang. Wala kami dinispose muna.

Family of 4 kami. Meron kaming 30kg each from Emirates. In the end, meron pa din kaming 40kg na ipapabox from Sg (by sea). Yung handcarry namin actually sobra sobra sa max. 2 laptop bag pero walang laman laptop. Mga documents na sobrang bigat. Buti hinde kami na check sa Sg. Then pagdating naman sa sydney, sa awa siguro mg officer samen sa dami namin bitbit hinde na kami pinadaan sa scan na may sobrang habang pila.total- 5 big luggages, 1 big sako bag for shoes (more than 20 pairs ata inc kids) 3 handcarry na trolley. 1 kid backpack, 1 tote bag for me, 2 laptop bags at isang plastic bagfor pillow ng kids. Stroller. Kawawa si hubby haha

    4. Initially we plan to bring our airbed, 2 queen size na pwedeng magkapatong or magkahiwalay. Kaso 9kg sayang ang kakainin sa bagahe. So pinadala na lang namin pinas. Towels, blankets are more cheaper here. Sarap mag shopping lol. Clothes dito medyo nalamig pa din esp night and early morning. Mainit naman sa tanghali. Pero no need na mga down jackets. Kung mag job hunting pa kayo I think yun yung importante din.

    4. Adaptors - yes need to bring.

    6. Medicine and vits- I tried to bring as much as I can dahil may rhinitis at asthma din kids ko. Hinde lang kami dumaan sa scan here so not sure kung
    May limit sila.

7.kikay things- make up at skincare. If you are into korean make up and skincare. Wala pa ko makita or hinde ko pa alam san hahanapin lol. Puro drugstore brands halos.

Ayun. So based on personal experience lahat haha. Some of my answers may not be advisable sa iba. Like pag risk ng excess bagagae at medicines. But I hope makatulong sa BM nyo. Godbless and enjoy the moment.

    hi

i mean di ba may 7 kg tayo as handcarry, iweigh din ba nila ung laptop, dslr at lenses?

    thanks

mahirap talaga maghanap ng work - given na iyan.. and may instances na ang unang work mo is entirely hindi akma sa kung ano ang natapos mo or based from your previous work.

Ang goal is to be together.

Kung ipapasok natin sa isip ang option na babalik - it depicts the purpose ng pagsasama sama as pamilya. Lunukin ang pride. Take a job kung ano ang available for the meantime.

Kaya kami madami nag susuggest na wag muna ibenta ang bahay dito at wag muna irenounce ang PR for cases like what you mentioned - pero ang aming thinking na mag asawa e - bakit tayo mag lalagay ng fallback? pag may fallback - di tayo magpupursige na mag move forward sa present situation and mag strive to find work.
Migration is a life changing thing and is not for everyone.
Going back to zero is not a joke, lalo pa at we are in our comfort zone na ngayon, maayos na trabaho, maayos na bahay and all.

But we choose to go out of our comfort zone to experience greater things, to live our life to the fullest (na pwede naman palang ma achieve - konting tyaga lang ang kailangan)

And lastly, it’s ok to hear news like that once in a while to keep you informed, but don’t let it drag you down, and let you second guess yung plans nyo in the future. Not because someone failed e ganun na din ikaw.

You do note ( hahahaha!)

“Don’t downgrade your dream just to fit your reality. Upgrade your conviction to match your destiny.”

Do your thing, ayusin ang resume, magpractice na galingan sa interview and while still presently employed, learn new things na pede ma learn sa work and outside.
