Balikbayan & Return/Onward ticket, I keep getting mixed answers!

I have asked this question in many forums but I still have not received a reliable answer or way of finding out. Some are saying that balikbayans don't need a return/onward ticket because they are exempted from it while others are saying otherwise. Eughh I have emailed the Philippine Embassy here in Aust. but they haven't replied for almost 1 week. I'm getting so desperate D=

Chill dude @ilyjohncomas - you say you are balikbayan right? as long as you are properly documented as one (either migrant or foreign worker) - you will not be needing any return ticket when you leave the philippines...

What is it exactly/specifically that is making you desperate here?! Please expound as I cannot understand where your problem lies...

Heading to phils in 2 weeks... will ask for balikbayan stamp at immigration... will they (airline and phil immi.) let me through bcoz a lot of people have said that even if u will avail of the balikbayan.. airlines will still not let you board to philippines with a one way ticket.

Why do you only have a one way ticket? Di ka ba babalik sa Australia?

Thing is, if you only hold a Aussie passport, then you are not considered balikbayan hence they might not allow you to board (and eventually enter the Philippines) on a one-way ticket.

If you are dual citizen though, this will not be an issue. All you need to do is show your Phils Passport to airline counter and immigration.
