Suggestions please - Where to relocate in VICTORIA

Sorry if may similar thread (na hindi ko nakita) - seeking advise to our forum members na sa Victoria nagdecide to live and work.

Please any recommendation saang area yung may ok na school, safe ang neighborhood, hindi bahain (real talk lang sorry pero syempre kung maiiwasan ang area na ito e iiwasan).

We don’t mind being far from CBD area bilang mahal din naman ang rent doon. We are ok sa suburbs - laid back family life lang.
Me and hubby are in Supply Chain Management field - so baka may marecommend kayo na area na tugma din sa area where this field is in demand.

@ms_ane usually ang warehouses dito sa Victoria is nasa West so you might consider places like Laverton, Altona, Hoppers Crossing. Kung may car ka, ok n rin s may Braybrook, Taylor Lakes or Caroline Springs.

@ms_ane Use this site to look for OK schools in VIC https://bettereducation.com.au/school/Primary/vic/vic_top_primary_schools.aspx This is also important if you will enroll your kids to a primary school - zoning is considered so you can't just enrol your kids if you are far from the zone. Generally, people say na avoid the West area but I guessit still depends on the suburb and your standard too - a few pinoys I know live in the west and ok naman sila.

regarding your profession, West is a good idea. I live in the west and still close to cbd.

pasali din ako. still waiting for my 489 grant pero kinakabahan na ko. mag isa lang kasi ako. yung pinsan ko nasa Sydney then nasa SA ako.

San ok magstay? Web Developer/Software Engineer ako so I'm not sure kung ok ba sa suburbs pero kung pwede, mas ok kasi laid back naman ang prefer ko.

Bigyan niyo naman ako ng something ma-research. Gumala gala na nga ako sa Google Streetview sa sobrang praning ko. haha.

@lack14 hello. follow up na din pls sa mga schools sa victoria. pag nag high school po ba ang bata need to take entrance exam pa kung same school naman? nakita ko kase un ibang school same name nung primary at secondary pero magkaiba un location. considered as different entity po ba sila o taken as one at automatic na admitted na sa highschool ung bata? salamat po.

@Grifter kapatid sa Werribee na kami mag stay bilang nagkataon nandon ang mga kakilala namin. Medyo ang hirap din sa totoo lang na mag research kaya settle muna kami sa lugar kung saan may kakilala na then if we feel na may mas ok na lugar or area depende din sa work na makuha e saka nalang aadjust. Babalitaan kita for sure mauuna kami at 1Q2020 kami nandoon

@Grifter timbrehan din kita ng schools doon may kakilala ako na high school na din ang anak check naten anong school at requirement

@Grifter sorry no idea but I would assume they're different and entrance requirements are also different/independent. Best to call/email the school for the details - normally there will be tours of the facilities as well. But most families I know here really consider the 2ndary schools before they buy/rent a place, either for zoning (public) or accessibility (private).
