What you need is to have an OEC from POEA.

Agree with @cucci, you need an OEC since 482 is a working visa and not PR visa. The PDOS is only a prerequisite for the OEC.

As for the OEC requirements, what I have now is the offer of Employment and Employment contract.

Someone posted his/her experience with POEA OEC processing somewhere in the forum... can't seem to remember exactly where it was but if I remember correctly, what was needed was for the employment contract to be "red-ribboned" by the Philippine embassy.

I'm not sure on the current process though so try to search in some threads here.

@jlee14 yeah, kahit yun mobility team namin ang sabi sakin noon is wag mag fly in from PH dahil hassle talaga. Anyways, on the way ka naman na to AU, yun ang importante for now. All the best!

If you have the time to spend it sa pinas para mag-asikaso ng papers/documents/OEC, ok lang, pero kung yung work mo is good na dito sa AU, deretso ka na, yan maipapayo ko.
Lets ask the other forum goers kung ano ang say nila. All the best!

Kung makakuha ka ng visitor visa, mas madali na yung pag process ng OEC for the 482 visa pag andito na sa Au. You just need to get in touch with POLO Canberra, forward the required docs for verification of your contract.
Besides, kailangan lang naman ang OEC kung uuwi ka ng Pinas dahil hahanapan ka if mag exit using your 482 visa.
Pag lodge mo naman ng application for your 482 visa, automatic bibigyan ka ng Bridging Visa to allow you to stay while your application is being processed.

Layo kasi nun from Sydney haha kaya baka matagalan maasikaso if ever.

No need for personal appearance. Please see POLO Canberra advisory regarding issuance of OEC.
