Sa Health Examination request po na natanggap namin thru email may nakalagay na "You must respond to this request within 28 days after you are taken to have received this letter." Kaso more than a month pa po yung nakuha naming schedule for health examinations, ano po ba dapat e submit na documents when notifying the department that we are unable to undergo health examinations within 28 days?

Meron po ba dito sa inyo ang hindi muna nag undergo ng health examinations right after visa lodging??

Hello Steven, same case po tayo, pero yung ginawa ko po, everyday nakaabang for available slots since may mga nagka-cancel ng appointment. Eventually nakakuha kami and we’re done with out medical exams. Inabangan namin for 5 days bago nakakuha ng desired slot.

Hello! Occupational therapist po ako planning to apply for visa 189 or 491.

Oh that's really insightful, thanks for that! Kaso for me it seems like a band-aid solution lang. Aantayin muna nila mag-graduate yung student before actually contributing to the economy as an employee. Well they can work pala while studying, but I don't think all of them could juggle full-time work with studies. Unlike skilled migrants na diretsong contribute kaagad because of taxes. For the quota, parang hindi pa ata?

@brainsap Hi! Salamat sa response! 🙏 Ninuod ko in Youtube, sa Skills Assessment part of the EOI, it is asking for reference/receipt number. Is that the assessment number on the Stage 1 results? Akala ko kasi need ko hintayin ang application ko for limited reg sa Ahpra before ko ma start ang EOI 😭

For perspective, I suggest that you also start reading up on local news in Australia. Iba rin kasi yung angle na nirereport to entice immigrants vs. what is going on, which will also shed light on why there can't be a sudden landslide of invitations.

For one thing, there is a housing/rental crisis brought about by the covid situation. There are quite a lot of people here who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless. So they can't just bring in thousands & thousands of immigrants because where will they live? Students generally live in shared houses or student housing but immigrants tend to be families who need their own houses. There is a shortage in building materials & in tradies who will build the houses that are needed. So aside from health professionals, there is also a need for people in the building trade, who will do, among other things, manual labor. Because nawala yung backpackers & students during the pandemic, there is also a shortage of agricultural workers (i.e. fruit pickers) which affects the supply chain. As you mentioned, there are also quite a number of people who were already invited & lodged their visa applications 2 years ago na hanggang ngayon wala pa rin grants. There is a quota on visa grants per year & syempre considered din sila sa quota either this financial year or in the coming financial year & will also help fill the skill shortages.

Maraming aspects to consider & they are not all presented in immigration news. Australia is a good place to move to pero syempre maraming aspects of life here that have been affected by the pandemic & the government has to balance sorting out things that affect their constituents vs businesses.

Australia is a good place to move to pero syempre maraming aspects of life here that have been affected by the pandemic & the government has to balance sorting out things that affect their constituents vs businesses.

I actually read the local news every day in regards to immigration since DIY lang ako and I need to keep myself up to date. Ang daming businesses and industries ang nagccall-out regarding skills shortage. The highly regarded Grattan Institute produced a report last year with migration statistics (you can check in their website, it's an Excel file with 30+ sheets). They suggested to the government that they should be leaning more towards young skilled people with good English, since the future is the young working age population.

In terms of politics, the opposition is favorable towards the increasing of the migration cap -- bale "big immigration" ang gusto nila because they know na they would benefit economy-wise. KPMG even said to take in at least 350k migrants per year (https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-10362277/Australia-urged-let-migrants-120billion-economic-boost.html) to get back on their migration prediction track that they did pre-COVID and to dramatically increase their GDP. With their elections coming up on May, whoever wins, may significant impact siya sa immigration.

On the other hand, Canada released a backlog statistics and super transparent and acknowledging sila with their shortcoming, over 1.8 million applications ang unprocessed. My main issue lang is why keep on shouting skills shortage pero walang pagbabago sa galaw ng skilled visas. Lots of industries are calling it out already. I wish mas proactive si Australia rather than reactive. Oh well, all we can do for now is really just wait.

Hello! Occupational therapist po ako planning to apply for visa 189 or 491.

Hi, I'm an OT too. Pwede ka na mag-create ng EOI after mo makuha yun Stage 1 Desktop Assessment and English Test Result. > @Aisforapple said:

@brainsap Hi! Salamat sa response! 🙏 Ninuod ko in Youtube, sa Skills Assessment part of the EOI, it is asking for reference/receipt number. Is that the assessment number on the Stage 1 results? Akala ko kasi need ko hintayin ang application ko for limited reg sa Ahpra before ko ma start ang EOI 😭

Linagay ko yun OTC File/Reference No. (xx/000xx).

Good day to all! I would like to ask if meron po dito who experienced my situation. I received a 190 NSW pre-invite today. However, i made a mistake in claiming points. I claimed 90 instead of 85 in mu EOI. I want to ask what should I do now? TIA sa lahat nang sasagot. God bless!

I watched a youtube video about this, they say if you are sure you overclaimed points better to withdraw your application than get a visa refusal.

If you don't mind po, pwede po malaman yung naoverclaim nyong points?

Sayang ang invite @jakibantiles. Di bale nandyan kana mas okay nga na invitation refusal (worth less than $200 kaysa yung visa lodgment na $4000+ and may record pa and iexplain mo pa sa next application.

Thank you po for sharing your experience. This was the very first EOI that i loges in my own( out of my desperation of my situation)..I ticked the “YES” po kasi yung Australian Study kinopya ko lang yung ginawa ng migration agent ko before but mali din pala yun, i should have ticked NO.

I have a question po regarding medicals, for those who lodged their visas:

I have heard from some po that they were only given 28 days to comply for their medical check. Is this duration true for all visa applications? I am applying for 190 and lodged-paid visa fees, but i did not get that notification. All I see in my IMMI account is a red flag, and a note that says actions required— arrange health examinations, without the due date.

Did others get the same deadline po upon lodging the visa application? is this true for both 190 and 491?

I am worried po kasi, the earliest medical schedule I got is on March 22 pa, and I lodged the visa Feb. 7

    Thank you for your help!

Hi po. I applied for visa 190 last Aug 2021, Jan 31 na kami nakapagpamedical, no actions required na yung nakalagay. Wala naman akong nakitang 28days na notice. Most probably because closed ang Bupa nung naglockdown at nagcacatch up pa sila sa backlogs.

Thank you, @jakibantiles! May natanggap ka na separate email that requests for the medical? Yung iba po kasi, after lodging daw their visa, they got an email pa for medicals.

Hello po... I have a short question.
