@batobats hello! would you know kung my list of items prohibited for shipping (travel box) to AU? dumaan kasi ako kanina sa singpost at sabi nila di daw pwede ang used shoes and limited lng ang old clothes. thanks^^

Anyone from Singapore moving to Perth this June? We have 2 boxes lang to ship mas mura if Sea Cargo but the minimum is 8 boxes cost $1000. Consolidate natin mga boxes natin especially sa mga alanganin cargos like us. watchatink?

how many days from SG to Au? and based on your experience po 'tong recommendation mo?

I used Astromovers. Shipment left Sg mid-December, ship arrives first week of January and may take upto two weeks to clear customs daw.

@IslanderndCity babalik pa si partner diyan sa Sg kase hanggang June ang contract niya, 2013 nag Pasko lang sya rito. Big move nya July next year pa. Pero together again na kami ni doggie!!

Question po. Sa mga nagpadala thru astromovers-- vinacuum sealed nyo pa ba uing mga damit nyo (uing nabibili sa daiso) -Para bawas sa volume?

Hihingan kayo ng destination address sa mga forms, hindi ata pwedeng TBC once pinadala niyo na dahil ilalagay nyo rin sya sa customs declaration. Use either a friend's or relative's address or else magrerent kayo ng storage which could be expensive. Make sure may address na kayo kapag ipapadala niyo na yung gamit.

December nila ni-collect yung gamit ko and sabi nila mid-December daw aalis yung barko from Sg, so early January darating sa Sydney, then mga two weeks customs clearance. Guess what, hanggang ngayon wala pa yung gamit ko.

So I emailed them many times, at walang reply which is odd dahil noon mabilis sila magreply sa email. My partner who's still in Sg called them, and they couldn't even give him a straight answer or explanation; they'll 'revert' daw. Revert amp...

Finally, nung isang araw, they emailed and told us hindi pa raw umaalis ng Sg yung gamit ko dahil daw inabisuhan sila ng agent na wag paalisin yung barko nung December to avoid delays in Sydney port. Ang labo diba. Anyway I'm sabi daw 28 Feb pa raw darating yung barko with my stuff.

I'm sooo frustrated and disappointed with them because they kept us in the dark the whole time. We paid promptly and we're told we'd be updated, etc pero wala. We've written to them that we're extremely unhappy and inconvenienced by this and that we should be compensated somehow. Ewan, wala pa ring sagot.

Meanwhile, paulit - ulit pa rin ako ng damit dito. Hehe

Oh well. I guess that was the one albeit big hitch of my move here.

hmmm i did experienced something similar -- they got my stuffs nung jan 12 as i was told na every thursday daw ang alis ng barko, then i kept on calling them until one day (january 29) naka tyamba at nakausap ko mismo uing taong in-charge (jenny ata name) and she said na aalis daw uing barko that same day.

i think pareho ng barko ang sinakyan ng mga gamit natin - mine is bound to melbourne though.

just to be sure i called them up the next day and confirmed na umalis na nga daw uing barko with my stuffs.

I called their Aus agent. Andyan na raw yung container with my stuff pero di pa cleared ng customs. Haaay sobrang hassle. Paulit-ulit na lang ako ng damit haha. Seriously though, it's been disappointing because they seemed highly recommended by others here. Mukhang bad timing lang ba yung shipment natin @andoy31?

@cholle i'm led to believe na yes, baka konte ang shipment na umalis ng december-january, kaya late na nakaalis uing barko. Pero still kase ang promise nila 8 weeks delivery
now, I might be needing my suite pero andun sa container uing suite ko - mahal pa nman bumili ng bago

normally valuables hand-carry, but if marami tlaga and mabigat (hehehe) then you'll have to declare it sa movers and ensure to apply corresponding insurance $$$ for your cargo.
