Passport Validity less than 2 years

Hello po...

Required po ba na ung passport validity is more than 2 years kung mglodge ng visa application?
Ung passport ko po kasi ay valid until march 2015..when i check pg renew ng passport dito sa singapore, it will take 8 weeks..
Eh plan ko po mg lodge application this month.

@shrek43 - you can proceed with your application no issues with passport < 2years valdity..
you can renew later anytime, while application is in progress or even pag approved na ang visa.. you just need to inform DIAC sa changes ng passport number if ever..

Normally it will say on your application if your Passport is valid or not ...

I mean it will state that passport needs not to be less than X months or x years .. if you think it is not valid then made some changes or plans ...

strikto ang AU immigration sa requirements .. better safe than sorry

Balitaan mo kami @shrek43 sa application mo ha. Yung passport ko din kasi magexpire sa May2015. Kapag ok na ang skills assessment at ielts ko, maglodge na ko ng EOI by November or December.

Hindi naman po required. Ako May 2014 mgeexpire. Nglodge ako Feb this yr... mgrerenew ako next month tapos inform ko lang CO ko for my new passport number to update their db.

Ngayun lang kasi ako nagbasa ng booklet...it says there na recommended ay more than two years ang passport validity at the time na mag-lodge ng visa application...Sana hindi talaga sya required na ganun.

Ako po nag lodge lodge ako ng EOI using my old passport then sa Visa Lodgement eh yung new Passport na gamit ko, wala naman naging problema, need mo lang mag submit ng form sa CO to update yung passport mo.

Kung recommended lang nakalagay pwede nga kahit less than 2 years unless its a mandatory requirements.

i just lodge my visa 190 today...wala nmang naging problema sa passport validity..Thanks All for the inputs.
