Hello good day po mga mam at sir...

may question po ako regarding sa vetassess...since may nakakakwentuhan ako same as my situation pero ang plan ko kasi is visa 189

    since wala akong state nomination
pero pasok yung skill of occupation ko as draftsperson for civil or engineering though graduate ako as architectural by degree...

I haven't lost everything except my mind...

@thegreatiam15, hi, this answer may already be late kasi January pa itong post mo. to answer your question, I don't see any problem if you have your skills assessed as civil draftsperson kahit na arki graduate ka. what is important is you have all the documents to prove na you really worked as civil draftsperson like detailed certificate of employment frm your employer, payslip, etc. and if you got approved on a 189 visa, then you can enter any states na gusto mo pagstayan.

@jvframos hello salamat though late na nga haha, ok lang naman

my skills assessment is currently underway, waiting for positive feedback with fingers crossed, i think around mid may or 3rd week may may results na.

architectural draftsperson yung pinush forward ko, i realized isa lang kasi yung company na engineering yung experience ko as a civil draftsperson doing value engineering, so probably mas magpeprevail yung architectural experience ko. Judging from this i can confirm hindi uubra...: )

well wait nalang ako for july na mainclude sa SOL yung skill ko...i hope...: )

    salamat

Hello! I'm new to this forum. I just want to ask about migrating to Australia. I am 29 years old and planning to go and work there kasi pangarap ko talaga makawork sa Melbourne... Architect na po ako dito sa Philippines. And i'm wondering if do i need to take the architecture undergraduate diploma para lang makapasa sa AACA and to know Australian Building standards?

BLDG standards >> aaralin mo to once nasa work kana iba ang building standards for every country mas malalaki setbacks nila last time nagcheck ako saka mas strict ang provisions nila unlike satin na walang totoong standards.

Requirement to mostly sa mga job openings depende sa state at region na pupuntahan mo.

Architectural license >> hindi credited yung sa atin in other words walang silbi lisensya natin pag dating sa ibang bansa d tayo entitled sa profession na to unless graduate ka sa US or UK

Architect Assessment >> kuha ka muna nito then prepare ka 3 feasible na thesis kapag nakuha mo to then pwede ka magmigrate read the guidelines thoroughly.

it is safe to say to take the architectural draftsperson assessment kung gusto mo makakuha visa to Australia :)

I haven't lost everything except my mind...

Hi, I'm new here, just want to ask any updates regarding working/migrating to Australia as an Architect? I submitted 2 days ago my papers to an Agent here to try my luck. I'm here in Kuwait almost 16years working. Bale i check pa daw nila yung job duties of my 3 companies, then after that prepare the checklist to submit to AACA.

Ngayon kulang nakita itong website/forum na ito, kaya lang base sa mga comments medyo wala ata nakaka pasa sa AACA? so is it ok na mag submit din ako in my own sa Vetassess?

According sa Point system of 60 so far:
    Age - 15
    Overseas employment - 15
    Bachelor degree - 15
    State - 5
    IELTS - 10 (Later on 2nd stage)

    please advise.

I've been thinking the past few days kung bakit kaya not equivalent yung PH degree sa AU degree. According to my research (so far), yung accredited Australian qualifications kasi nila is Master of Architecture lang, which requires a total 5 years of study (3 years Bachelor of Design in Architecture + 2 years Master of Architecture). Yung sa PH degree kasi natin 5 years total nga, pero may mga kasamang minor subjects like English, Theology, Rizal, General Psychology. Hindi sila kasama sa bilang ng credits yung mga minors, kaya kulang talaga yung credits in Architecture na pwede i-claim during AACA assessment. :(

@athelene I agree with you. I also did my own research and found out that mostly yung major architecture related subjects like AR Design 1-10 sa pinas, yung number of units compare sa australia based bs-arch course eh kalahati lang satin. Andyan pa yung mga non related minor subjects na hindi naman naging helpful sa entire course natin na napaisip tuloy ako na parang naging money making ng universities sa pinas ang pagkakaroon ng minor subjects para lang magkaroon ng work ang mga teachers who graduated with majors to teach the architecture student's minor subjects.

Check nyo yang link nasa taas. Makikita at macocompare nyo ang BS-Architecture curriculum nyo sa pinas against with the one in the university of adelaide. Sample lang po yan.

@Pinoy_Imphotep True. And thanks for that link. I think based kasi on the US educational system ang PH, wherein students both have minor and major subjects. Ang pinagkaiba lang eh most universities hindi nakakapili ng majors/minors kasi naka-block system or fixed na ang curriculum, while sa US pwedeng pumili ng general subjects yung students bago magdeclare ng majors, then yung kukunin nilang subjects are based on their major. But I'm not sure if this holds true specifically for US Architecture degrees.

@Pinoy_Imphotep Now that you mention it, oo nga. Kumikitang kabuhayan ang mga schools sa minor subjects na yan na mostly d naman useful. With regards to the credit points ng AU in comparison to PH, magkaiba kasi tlga yung weighting nila sa atin and icoconsider naman din daw yun ng AACA pagdating sa assessment.
