    I just want to gather your thoughts on whether to have a direct flight from Manila to Perth? or have two flights like Manila to Singapore then Singapore to Perth, based on my research mas cheaper if separate flights. Student here and just looking for the cheapest way to fly to Perth next year.

    I don't think a direct flight to Perth still exists... :)

    You can check online if you want; fares varies with the dates you want to fly.

    It doesn't matter if PAL or hindi but magbayad talaga ng travel tax; this is a money making venture of our government to all those who wants to travel abroad...

    We took SQ and we paid P1620 din; pag-immigrant ka na (meaning having returned from Australia), di ka na magbabayad nito travel tax na ito.

    i checked with iom and they provided me a quote for two
    exhange rate of 43.80
    USD416 x 2 = USD 832 (PHP36.441.60)
    Travel tax incl phil tax = PHP19, 878 (PHP 9,939 / person)

    total of PHP36,441.60 + PHP19,878 = PHP56,319.60

    Tama po ba ito? parang ang mahal. esp dun sa travel tax?

    @amcasperforu sis, baka po kasama diyan sa taxes yung fee for additional 10 kilos baggage allowance. :) If I remember correctly si sis@staycool Php 27k yung one way niya sa IOM, mag isa lang siya, kasama na duon travel tax, terminal fee and additional 10 kilos baggage allowance kaya total baggage allowance niya ay 40 kilos. :)

    @bluemist Ah Kaya pala ang mahal sa IOM. Na consider na nila ang mag plus 10kilos. Parang pag ni compute ko maliit lng difference kung kaw mag direct sa qantas.

    @amcasperforu haha sorry kuya pala.. hehe kung sa internet ka titingin ng rates ng qantas, wala pa diyan yung mga terminal fee and travel tax.. kaya add mo pa yun para ma compare mo directly against sa qantas.. kung ipa ship mo pa yung ibang gamit mo, 17 kilos sa philpost (if from pinas), it would cost 9,700 pesos. :)

    @bluemist ohhh I see, I thought kasama na dun ung mga ibang charges sa website... ok na rin kung iisipin sa IOM kasi sila na mag aasikaso. Mukhang mura na rin sila looks like may discount na rin from them... Tapos direct flight pa, big consideration namin ni nanay yun...

    @bluemist ohhh I see, I thought kasama na dun ung mga ibang charges sa website... ok na rin kung iisipin sa IOM kasi sila na mag aasikaso. Mukhang mura na rin sila looks like may discount na rin from them... Tapos direct flight pa, big consideration namin ni nanay yun...

    Mahal pala mag pa ship hehe... kayo sa IOM rin ba kayo>
    Tell you what... Why don't you get a quote from IOM and compare it versus online price. Nag-aasikaso ang IOM because they are earning from this service naman kasi.

    Try expedia or other online website or even the website mismo ng airlines like PAL or Qantas.

    We bought ticket from IOM at kayo na humusga.

    One way ticket (MNL-SYD-SA) is 28,800 this includes 40kgs check in baggage, isang 7kgs carry on bag at isang lady bag (for ladies) or pwd back pack for men.

    To get a good value airfare you need to check the peak and off-peak seasons ...

    Normally pag natapat sa Holiday yung travel plans nyo sigurado mataas like Dec and January (2x)
