Hi @axln, we're of the same visa subclass. I'd been looking for a fellow 96'er for two months now! whew, finally found one.

So when did lodge you application and what's your status?

As for me, here it goes:

Aug 2007 - Visa Lodged
May 2013 - CO allocated
June 13, 2013 - Medicals uploaded
And the wait continues...

@hard2handle hi, we're in the same batch and the same timeline as well but we already got the visa grant last July 2. Hang on lapit na yan. We have waited for 6 years for this. Stay positive

Thanks for the support @axln! Medyo frustrating na nga e. We thought ok na lahat after we received CO allocation. Ayun pala 2loy ang pag-antay.

@hard2handle Oo nga tagal na din kasi natin nag-antay. Hirap pa nung subclass natin. Bibihira lang ang nakakaalam. Sana meron pa mga 496ers na magparamdam. Dun sa dating forum yung philippines.com.au daming 496.

@axln akala ko dati wala ng pag-asa ang visa application namin dahil June 2008 pa kami although visa 175 kami. Buti na lang na-allocate din kami nung January 2013.

Di ko nga din alam na may visa subclass 496.

@hard2handle konting hintay na lang po yan. Kung yung 6 years po eh nahintay nyo na, ngayon pa po na weeks na lang eh visa grant na kayo. Good luck po!

@StickyNote yup, kami na yata yung huli batch na may 496 after august 2007 wala na yata yung 496 subclass.

@axln active nga din ako dati sa isang forum.ano na kaya nangyari dun at nawala?granted na siguro ibang 496 kung tayo na last batch & kaya di na sila interested sa forum.

@hard2handle sayang nga sa na lumutang yung mga dating 496ers. Alam ko sa batch natin yung pinakamaraming 496.

@hard2handle Jan 16, 2014 ang IED na nasa visa grant. Pero last week of December ang flight namin papunta Melbourne.

@axln, @StickyNote sa case nyo po ilang months from visa grant until IED? Seafarer po kasi ako & hesitant nako to join a ship,thinking na i could miss the IED if I do so..

^usually nakadepende sa date of medical or pcc yung ied, kung alin ang nauna. Like in our case jan16 yung medical namin, tapos yung nbi clearance namin jan 23. Ang ibinigay sa amin na ied is jan 16, exactly one year from the date of medical. Pero possible din na mas maaga ang ied. Yung may mga medical case at nirequire ng health undertaking, six months lang from date of medical ang ied.

Ah ok.. Sa case ng anak ko na nasa MOC ang medical e mahirap pala gawing basis ang medical exam date. So di nalang siguro nga ako aalis muna until may news na from CO

@hard2handle di ko sure kung saan ang basis ng IED yung sa amin sa April 2014 pa naman awa ng Diyos may time pa para paghandaan.

As long as may grant na ok na po,db? Atleast alam niyo na next move. Unlike po sa amin na "waiting game" parin.. 2nd day of the week,so far wala pa news from CO.

@axln Tama po kayo,lahat po makuha sa dasal. Nakakainip lanh magantay..hehe. We're on our 10th week na. Nag-email na po kame sa CO but wala pa reply.

@hard2handle i tried before ma-grant yung visa namin. Nagreply naman, nakapag initial stage ako may phone number na pinatawagan tapos recording may mga questions na kailangan sagutin. Hanggang dun pa lang ako. Tapos next stage na, unfortunately, di na umusad dahil wala pa akong visa. Sabi din nung pinsan ko na nagsponsor sa amin, mas madali pag andoon na swertihan lang yung makakuha dito pa lang.

@axln pinsan mo rin pala sponsor mo,pareho tayo. Wala nga daw problem sa work dun as long as hindi mamili.

Hi pips! got an email frm my co for medical then he listed other docs that I need to submit.isa dun is ung proof of payment for english language charge..anyone has any idea of these? Bt I already submitd my ielts when I lodge my application..do I need to retake ielts kc expired na un? Appreciate ur help.thanks

@athenalady14 that's something new. Better ask your co kung ano yun. Sa amin kasi hiningi lang Nya copy ng bio-pages ng passports, medical checks and police clearance.

@athenalady14 Hi! 496'er ka? Axln is correct,ask your co first. Our CO also ask me to submit docs which was already submitted 6yrs ago. Good thing i verified with co before i went into the hassle of collectinh those documents again.

@axln Hi. Thanks..yeah..he has 9 items for me..weird..i already asked him but no reply yet.
@hard2handle: yes. I lodged my docs August 23, 2007.Got an email last August 27. yeah. he was also like birth certs of relative which I already submitted..weird nga kasi he is also asking also about marriage certs and spouse's english proficiency to think I'm single in my application.

@athenalady14 ah ok! Mukhang nahilo yung CO mo. Baka napagmixed-up nya yung application mo with another applicant.

@hard2handle dumadami na tayong 496ers. Keep it coming para we could gather a lot of info about our visa subclass.

@axln we received message from co today. He informed us that granting of visas to regional skilled migrants like us is limited to a certain number per year.. In short, possible pa na umabot next year pagantay namin.

Regarding IED, possible po ba na primary applicant lang muna ang makapasok ng Oz before IED o dapat pati secondary applicants din? Ano po ba stated sa grant letter?

@hard2handle walang nakalagay sa grant letter tungkol dun, pero asa VEVO yung condititions nung visa na nagrant. Ang pagkakaalam ko pwede mauna yung primary applicant then susunod mga secondary applicant but di pwede mauna ang secondary applicant. Di naman yata kailangan magkasama si primary and secondary sa initial entry unless, otherwise stated sa visa conditions

@axln i mean kung mauna si primary pero si secondary hindi makapasok before ied,ano kaya implications?

Or is it possible to request for an extension of the ied for secondary spplicants? Hmm..mag create kaya ako new thread about this?
