You mean can he work in the same role as he did in the PH? I'd say it's unlikely to do that right away. Without local/Aussie experience, mahirap maghanap ng CE roles for migrants (PR or students and their dependents). Employer's excuse is that local experience, kasi how they do things in AU may be slightly different than other countries. Personally, I doubt that just because he's a CE grad with experience overseas that he can just work in the same role here right away (I'm registered archi in PH, but my registration overseas is not recognised here).
If CE work is his end goal, the most feasible plan is to start as a CE draftsperson or technician (I know, it's entry level and not ideal, but they have to start somewhere). Get to know how things work in AU, then move up to higher positions. Having overseas work experience is an advantage though, kasi mas marami nang alam so mabilis ma-pickup yung local info as compared to Aussie na fresh grad na walang experience.
