NSW- Visa 489 Regional /Provisional

Hi , this is one of my option for migration, im short 5 points for 190.
I can retake IELTS pero im also nearing the age cap. Any experience or thoughts?

good day. nagsubmit na po ako ng EOI (489 Regional SS) saktong 60 pts lng kasi ako. ano na po ba ang next kong gagawin? wait for invite? Orana region of NSW lng po kc ang pwede sa analyst programmer. thanks po.

@filsgoz d pa ko nkapag apply ng ss. EOI p lng nasubmit ko. Yup, 50pts lng total ko at ayoko na sana magretake ng ielts kya 489 na lng. Thanks for the link. Icheck ko yan ty again

hi @islaman, hi @Isyut, ako naman not much sponsors my occupation (student counsellor) so one state offered me sponsorship for 489 instead of 190. let me know the timelines. let's update each other since we're 489-ers:)

@filsgoz same po tayo 489 (under SA SS) din ako. Invited na ako, payment nalang kulang ko para ma lodge ko na application ko for 489. Sige balitaan tayo ha. Sabi nila in 4 weeks time ma-aallocate kana nang CO dahil priority processing ang visa natin. Thanks

@stynx hi same po tayo ng NOC code at target visa 489 (Orana NSW).Nagsend na ako ng cv, educ cert, ielts at skills assessment report for their initial assessment. Waiting for the reply kung ipo proceed nila application ko. Pero di ko pa nasubmit EOI ko, naka draft palang.

hi, nakareceived na po ako ng invitation to apply for sponsorship from Orana NSW. I need to submit the rest of the documents. Nagreresearch po ako about the place wala masyado discussions about sa place at work opportunity. muka konti ang pinoy. Medyo nakakatakot tuloy baka mamya wala kami mahanap na work dun. ang mahal pa naman ng application fee nila $770.

@stynx, since tayo yung parehas ng plan to go for 489 sa Orana, baka may mase share ka? tuloy po ba application mo dun?

ang bilis naman magclosed. e paano po yung case ko na nakareceive na ng invitation na magsubmit ng application for sponsorship?

nagresearch ako meron naman filipino community sa orana. muka Ok naman ang place nga lang muka konti opportunity for analyst programmer nakita ko company na madami opening for IT is Fujitsu sa Wellington Orana.

hello, tama po nag confirm sakin ang rda na ipo proceed yung application ko since ma invite ako before mag close.

may katanungan lang ako, kc nagtry ako mag-apply online ng work. bale isa lang pinasahan ko ng resume kc swak talaga sa skills ko. tas tinawagan na po ako ng recruitment agency. yun nga dw yung employer is willing magsponsor ng visa 457. full time po ang offer. tas ni discuss nya din ang salary at private insurance na ipo provide ng company/client which is OK naman. tsaka yung name ng company binigay nya din at sinend nya sa akin iba pang details. ang tanong ko po paano kung ma approve ang state sponsorship from Orana at the same time ma confirm din ang job offer at applyan ako ng 457? ano po mga consequences? salamat.

i have several comments..

a) pag na-approve ang SS 489 mo, pwede mo nmn i decline ang invitation, wag mo pirmahan ang acceptance, at sabihin mo decline mo ang SS.

b) if you decide to continue with 457, ask them kung gano katagal ang application process? im asking, baka kasi mas mabilis pa na ituloy mo na lang ang visa 489 mo, and then direcho na sa company na gusto mag hire syo.. this is kung sa regional din ang company..

c) hindi pwedeng dalawa ang applyan mong visa, you can only be given one type of visa at a time.. alam ng DIAC yan kasi sympre may record sila..

d) im assuming kaya ka nag apply ng 489 dahil kulang ang points mo for 189/190? kung mag 457 ka, malaki ang points ng AU working exp (1 yrs = 5pts).. so after one year, pwede mo na ituloy ang PR application mo, assuming valid pa ang ACS/IELTS mo..

ang concern lang, eh baka humigpit na nmn ang PR application requirements after sometime..

sa brisbane yung company so definitely di pede ang 489. at yes po kulang points ko that's why i applied for 489. yung reading ko kasi sumabit, pede ako mag retake ng ielts pero wala na ako time kc early next year bababa na ang points ko sa age. im running out of time. hehe! tas suspended pa ICT for 190 sa NSW e dun lang sana ako pede.

i'm still new here but i want to give my few insights regarding in Orana.Orana is composed of 13 towns( hope i'm right) and the dubbo is the city of the whole region(central northern) and some other town is very small in terms of population,major industry is still agricultural just the same as other region.The other town under in Orana which is booming due to mining is cobar and mudgee but mining now in nsw s a bit of slowing down that cost to laid off and put some other worker in queensland who are a center of mining now.Dubbo is approximately 5hrs drive to sydney or approximately 8hrs from country link coach(BUs).The bus in dubbo that roamed the city is approximately every two hours,so if you are in the town you should wait two hours in the busstation before you can ride in the bus.how-ever during weekends there is no bus in the town.

Employment:
Job availability is depending in your qualification,thought there are so many jobs intended for skilled jobs like welder,electrician,mechanic..etc..in the IT there are some few company that are looking for i.t jobs including the goverment itself,when i say few it's means you can see hiring in IT probably one in every week and sometime none.other job is for salesman,clerk hardware jobs and agricultural jobs.How-ever don't loose hopes there is one manufacturing company in dubbo which is the products is lamb,what they did is to cut lamb parts by part and put in the packages and sent to different country,it's basically manufacturing processing and mostly filipino is working here not only filipino but also holiday workers who come from different country so that's when you work in this company it is normal to see so many nationalities and most of the supervisor in different department is fiipino also.If you come in dubbo and cannot find work related to your experience then just apply different jobs like service crew in mcdonald,kfc,or in the pletcher(The one who export lamb)..just to survive because if you used to live how pinoy working here i think you can be able to find work which is related to your profession.

Filipino society:

Filipino society is alive and doin g helping to others you can see them in facebook and some multicultural activities,their president is vic avila and you can search them in facebook just type filipino orana association.

hi @ljdelu and @stynx, i've been to sydney but not to orana. sabi e "Agriculture is the predominant industry in the Orana region, with 86% of the area under agricultural landuse."

Very big regional area ng NSW, 25% of the state but around 120k lang ang population. good luck!:) BUT i don't know if this applies to you since orana is specifically sponsoring you. for 489 sponsored by the state like @Isyut, you can actually move from one regional area to another regional area (e.g. Werribee sa Victoria state - about 45mins drive to Melbourne CBD from any other regional area from other states).

i don't know if that applies to those sponsored by orana.

@filsgoz tanong ko lang po. Pg ba SS pwede ba tayo maka move to a regional area sa ibang state? E.g SS ako nang SA pwede ba ako magmove sa VIc regional kun sakali?
Btw, noticed your timeline nka pag sg pcc kana? Pwede pala kahit wala pa CO endorsement?

@Isyut 489 din ako sa SA...i think pwede ka naman in any regional area in Au but may obligation ka with SA to live and work for at least 2 years in the state..pag di mo ito nacomply baka gawin itong reason for non approval of your 887 visa when you apply for permanency in the future.

@fgs thank u po for the info. I think I'll go nalang for the safest path which is to live and work in SA for 2 years para iwas problema if I apply for PR.

@Isyut wala pa ako Au, sa Feb 18 pa ako aalis ng Ph..last nov 11 lang naapprove visa ko..Goodluck to your app...based on Seek.com.au maraming available openings. once approve na visa mo try to sign up para makapag job hunting na while overseas pa, though most all employers prefer na on-shore ka na... May mga naging interested sa CV ko pero dahil offshore they advise me to contact them pag dating don..

@jvframos @filsgoz - matagal pa ang IED ko. I'm planning to entry via Sydney sa pinsan ko by June 2014 tapos sa Adelaide mag settle down. Pero parang na inip na ako dito sa SG gusto ko nang agahan ang paglipat. Ikaw @jvframos kelan ka mag entry? ang sabi ay di na tayo kailangan nang CFO, although dito ako manggagaling sa SG goint to Sydney.

Hi, pa advise naman how can I contact DIBP?
I havent lodged my visa app yet, I had a miscarriage and had some financial challenges.
Mag request sana ako ng extension, but cant seem to find how to contact them.
Hope someone can shed me some ligt.

kami by june 2014 pa kami punta WA, si hubby magstay na dun to find work muna while me, will go back to dubai to work muna para may magsustain samin while hubby is looking for work. sa june pa kami kasi wait pa naming school break ng mga bata sa dubai.

sana swertehin tayo makakuha agad ng work.

@Isyut kumusta..been to CFO pero sabi nila no need daw PDOS kasi provisional visa nga daw...di pa nila pwede iregister as migrant..to make sure, pinalagay ko don sa app na pumuta kami don in case insist ng immig ang PDOS...will need to check baka hanapan na naman tayo ng POEA :-(...i read this one in the BI website---- Individuals who are travelling on visas other than employment such as training, foreign residence, visit, spouse/fiancee/ dependent, student, and business, need not secure exit clearance from POEA. However, in view of the peculiarities obtaining in the Korean labor market, trainee bound for korea must obtain an exit clearance or the appropriate Overseas Employment Certificate through their respective recruitment agencies, as the case may be. The POEA Regional Centers and Regional Extension Units may issue special exit clearance herein mentioned, as may be applicable. QUALIFIED NAMAN TAYO UNDER FOREIGN RESIDENCE :-)
