What to show immigration - TV600

jcrdreamjcrdream PhilippinesPosts: 36Member

Hello po! Preparing for my first trip to Australia, and asking lang ano ang hinihingi sa immigration? Subclass 600 po.

  • Boarding pass
  • Passport
  • Grant letter

Meron pa po ba? I have acquaintances sa Australia pero 'di po ako magde-declare na naimbita or makikipagkita kasi wala po akong mga pics with them or any proof. Magkakakilala lang kasi kami talaga.

Since digital ang Australian visa, you generally don't need to have the grant letter printed out (makikita nila ang visa mo once they scan your passport). I never held an AU tourist visa so I don't know what documents they would ask for (case-to-case basis din naman ang immigration).

But when I travel overseas, I would usually have hotel booking and daily travel itinerary printed out, and have the contact details of any friends I'm visiting on hand and ready in case the immigration officer asks for evidence of my travel plans.

The documents you hold/bring should be consistent and related to your visit. If this trip is not sponsored by your friends, bring documents that show that you are the one funding this trip (and that you can afford it). Personally I rarely bring any proof of financial documents (bank statement/cert), but I do bring a credit card with me, which could be my proof that I can afford to travel even if I run out of cash. If your friends will let you stay with them during the trip, print out your friend's home address and mobile number (and of course, some research on how you will get there if coming from the airport).

If your visa condition requires you to hold health insurance while onshore, you need to have the details of your health insurance ready and on hand too (just in case they ask; if they don't it's still useful to have them printed out already).
