Does invite take so long ?

I was under the impression that civil engineers were in high demand ? but 5months is a long wait?

Can any one please advice whether this is normal? please comment. I am desperate here.

Try to max out your points .You need to at least reach 85-90 to get invited as it is a competitive occupation.The chances are getting lower as allocations gets exhausted.
If i were you - apply lahat sa states na eligible ka and submit 491 as well.

Been waiting for more than a year na T_T but I'm in ICT.
When I joined other FB groups, I realized others have been waiting longer, some even have higher points than I have. I understand your feeling, nakaka-exhaust! I just want to get past this.

Try to increase your points while waiting--yan din usual advice sakin dito sa forum.

Hi OP, medyo political kasi yung nature ng immigration ngayon sa AU. Kaya medyo nagslow down sila.

Ako I sent my fist EOIs last November. Mag 3 months na din waiting for invites. Kahit nasa target sector ng NSW yung occupation ko di nahahagip.

Parang 75 pts seems too low for your occupation. Try to increase to 85-95 to get a better chance. Priority occupation depends on the state at madami din competition. If you are already waiting for 5 months and as you said desperate ka na, ano ginagawa mo para tumaas competence mo? Naati, Superior PTE, partner points etc?

Sorry this may seem harsh, pero mas marami pang iba na more than a year nagaantay wala pa din invite. So I guess that’ s more than normal because of your points.
