Seeking for your advice

Is student visa for Master's degree still worth the shot for 2024? 10 years po ako working in IT industry dito sa Pinas. I have a friend na going 11 years na IT experience and may current experience abroad for more than three years pero waiting pa rin sya for visa grant, passed the PTE with high grades.

    Depends on your circumstances, may naiinvite naman for ICT lalo na is a target sector .

    If you have a long horizon by the time you finished studies, you should consider if your total points is still competitive by that time or not.

    If you can work out your profile now ,apply with what you have and continue raking up points as it will be tougher as it gets ,considering the upcoming migration plans, specifically targeting temporary visas to reduce the influx more than welcome them ang narrative ngayon.

    There are lot of discussions regarding very limited places for PR ,backlogs and aggravated by the sheer number of applications who have 0 points for experience and still desperate after having obtained a high point advantage over other applicants after graduation and able to work and still got no luck getting invited.

    What is your points breakdown at the moment? You have 10 years experience ,have you done your skills assessment? You can still get invited even offshore if you tick most of the states requirements for experience, age , qualifications etc.

    Basa basa po dito and research more about AU migration and what are the qualities,points nung mga naiinvite na kagaya ng occupation nyo. Good luck 🤞🏼

    SV is not worth it specially if you have experience already. Parang sayang yung tuition at naghihigpit sila sa student visa. Madami na nadedeny sa ibang forums / reddit. Practice lang po sa PTE… marami naman guide sa yt at free resources online.

    I only got 60 points po:

    1. English language: Zero since di pa po ako nakakapasa

    2. At least over eight years of experience outside Australia - 15 points

    3. Qualifications: 15 points - not sure if I answered this correctly. Graduate from a university here in Manila pero class three lang po sya. Please correct me kung tama po intindi ko sa "At least a Bachelor qualification, from another educational institution, that is of a recognised standard"

    4. Partner skills: 5 points, not decided pa po kasi si wife to join me and move abroad kaya ako lang muna. Competenet English skills. Local hospitality experience for eight years tapos nagbusiness na for the same industry.

    With your given points you need to be careful when lodging an EOI as you need to back up every points you claim with evidences .

    You also said you have not passed the English exams , you at least need a competent english in order to get an ACS skills assessment get the english test done first.

    Once you applied for a relevant skills assessment you will know if this will equate into an AQF Bachelors or lower since you mentioned your school is under level 3. That will put you to at least 10 points for education , while experience points will still be assessed ,it may still be deducted as per ACS criteria.

    For age considering you have 10 years of experience you're probably in the 33-40 years old age bracket so that gives you 25 points

    Education = 10 points (i quoted 10 as your qualification may be classified as Associate,it will really depend sa ACS assessment )
    Age =25 points
    English = 0 points
    Partners English =5 points
    Experience = 15 (if ACS will not deduct any)
    State sponsorship =5 , 15

    Total Points = 60 points for State Nominated (below 65) , 70 for Skilled Regional

    For you to be able to get an invite under 491 at least you need to score higher by another 20-25 points to give you 90 to 95 points

    You need to work out a superior English (20) and NAATI (5) and get your spouse a Skills Assessment (5)too.

    Good Luck!

    Max Points you can have is :

    189=85
    190=90
    491= 100

    Pwede naman , that will also mean less points for you. Also as a minimum you can lodge your EOI as soon as possible once you sorted yung pass mark for english and positive skills assessment .

    Mahirap mag student. I think kng may chance ka na mag direct P.R. go for it. Kapag P.R. ka pwede ka dn nmn mag aral if you like. When you say d ka pa nakakapasa sa pte, meaning nag try ka na? Ifever nmn na ntry mo na pero mababa ung score pwede m ilodge yan, tpos mag try ka na mag pte ulit to get higher points..pero at least naka lodge na. Seeking for advice:
    I graduated BS Industrial Engineering but my work experience is in IT industry as Software QA. San po ba mas okay mag paassess?

    Accenture - 2years and 4 months
    IBM - 6months
    worked as an OFW - 1yr and 3months
    Thakral One - 6months
    worked as an OFW - 6months
    Philamlife - 2 years and 6months
    worked as an OFW - 3years and 4months
    current job as freelancer - 1 year and 3months

    I hope yung paperworks mo sa bawat company nakuha mo. Like Proof of employment benefits, taxes, reference letters in line sa occupation na ninominate mo, payslips, contract, and etc sana meron ka. Remember, case officers like decision ready applications (ACS, DHA)

    Is it possible to have my assessment sa Engineering side? Since sa Industrial Engineering nagfofocus din sa QA?

    Iba yung IT QA sa QA na ginagawa ng Industrial Engineers. You have to focus on the ANZSCO code's job description and make sure aligned sya sa experience mo. Although, some do not submit their work experience for assessment pag engineering, only their qualification.

    Hi po, I just want to seek advice rin. Below is my profile:

    32 years old
    BS ECE (licensed) under Section 2 School
    Worked as Systems Administrator for 10years in 3 different companies in PH.
    My partner can be assessed as well under Software Tester

    Sa tingin niyo po how many points can I claim? Is it worth trying?

    points calculator:
    https://immi.homeaffairs.gov.au/help-support/departmental-forms/online-forms/points-calculator

    best case if you'll max out all criteria, i think you'll have around ~90 points. pretty good points. DIY ka ba? if so, equip yourself with A LOT of research, utilize all available platforms, and read more on this forum for all migration related-questions.

    only you can answer if its worth trying or not. good luck!

    Opo, DIY lang. Thank you! Medyo nalilito po ako about dun sa course if maaccept siya as equivalent to Bachelors kasi BS ECE ako and then IT ang course, parang may nabasa ako na may factor pag licensed? If yes, ano kaya need na docs for the licensed, ok na kaya ung PRC ID and then dapat ba valid ang PRC ID? Thank you!

    Possible pero I think don't claim points sa experience na hindi related sa I.E as mentioned in ANSZCO code. Check mo din kung ano ba mas maraming invites ngayon sa IT ba or IE. Also, kung may budget ka baka pwde both EA and ACS. Unahan kung saan ka mainvite. (not sure dito pero parang may nabasa na akong ganito)

    Also, can be assessed as I.E naman sa EA using academic for your CDR.

    Hello mga ka ex-Accenture, ask ko lang if ok na ba yung pinrovide nila na Non-Standard COE with Job description? Nakakuha rin kasi ako, pero wala nakalagay na full-time basis of XX hours per week. Wala rin sinama na salary per year. Tatanggapin kaya to ng ACS?

    Hindi na ako kumuha nung reference from previous managers dahil need pala ng COE din nila?
