    June 13, 2014 - Received Conditional Offer Letter from University of Western Sydney
    June 17, 2014 - Accepted the Offer Letter of UWS and paid tuition fee
    June 24, 2014 - Received Email from UWS that I have met the condition on the offer letter
    June 26, 2014 - Received CoE from UWS
    July 1, 2014 - Submitted all docs for application of Student Visa subclass 573 to IDP Philippines
    July 2, 2014 - Medical at Nationwide
    July 3, 2014 - Email from the Australian Embassy that they have received my application
    July 10, 2014 - Visa Grant notice visa Email!!! (Thank you Lord!)
    July 16, 2014 - Arrived in Sydney :)

    spread the good news guys...sa mga may kailala na mga chef or gusting mag aril ng chef or cookery dito sa OZ...here's the info na pwede na sola mag apply ng 485 visa after studying here in OZ for 2 years sa certificate iv (commercial cookery) max maliit ang gastos into dahil certificate studies ito comparing with bachelors or masters na field...here's the quotation and the link guys:

    2. Good News for Commercial Cookery Students and Chefs

    With the addition of chefs to the Skilled Occupations List (SOL), this opens a new pathway for commercial cookery students in Australia. Students would now be able to apply for a Graduate Temporary Subclass 485 visa in the Graduate Work Stream.
    In order to qualify you would need to:

    Complete a Certificate IV or higher in a relevant field (ie commercial cookery); and
    Have at least 360 hours of relevant work experience - generally this would be a placement forming part of the Certificate IV; and
    Score a minimum of 6 in each of the 4 components of IELTS; and
    Complete your qualification in Australia over 2 academic years.
    The 485 visa is an 18 month visa with full work rights. The best way for international students to then qualify for permanent residence is to find a job in a regional area and apply for a permanent RSMS visa.
    Qualified chefs can now apply directly for a Skilled Independent Subclass 189 visa - to qualify for skills assessment as a chef for the purposes of the 189 visa, you must have at least 3 years of work experience in addition to the basic requirements to pass assessment as a cook.

    @marlonrizza ....yw bro...basta ang tip ko sa iyo pagdating mo doon, try to make use of carrerone and seek sa application nyo ni mrs mo and also, maganda talaga ang referral bro..mas marami ka makilala mas mabuti....at hwag ka mamimili ng work mahirap pa naman (i'm not discouraging you but i'm stating what is factual here ok?) maghanap ng work pay bago dating kayo dahil ang hinahanap ng mga employer ay local experience....kaya grab any opportunity that knocks in your door....apply din sa mga agency soon.....

    @janine0511 Umabot ako ng almost 40K. Bulky at mabigat yung mga panlamig ko isama na rin ang mga kaartehan ko :D . Tig 20kg yung mga balikbayan boxes ko. :) Pero kung sa darwin ka hindi ata malamig dun kaya baka magkasya yung 20kg mo. :)
