2014 Students dito tayo! ^_^

Hi guys. I can see na madami ng natulungan ang IDP sa mga members dito applying for student visa. I have an appointment with IDP sa tuesday Feb18 for consultation. Hopefully, this is the start of my journey.

Question lang, makakatulong kaya yung record ko na nagtourist visa na ako dun before then umuwi nmn ako just in time before the expiry of my visa? Nabasa ko kasi na yung ibang applicant is nadedecline sa student visa application kasi may history na nadecline na din yung tourist visa application nila dati.

Another concern ko is yung cert.course na kukunin ko sa TAFE is Photo Imaging lang since I'm into photography right now. May tendency bang maquestion pa ako kung bakit sa sydney pa ako magaaral nito if available nmn sa pinas in minimal fee? If ever kasi, plano kong isagot na may relatives nmn kasi ako na willing magsponsor ng tuition ko so ayko nmang magpass sa offer nila kasi sayang. Another thing is undergraduate ako. Questionable dn ba na cert.course ang kukunin ko instead na BS/BA? May mga universities kasi na nagrerequire ng certificate courses bago ka maaccept sa BA courses nila such as Fine Arts.

I'd really appreciate your thoughts. :-S

Hi guys, I'm officially a 2014 student.

Hope to see some fellow Pinoy students from PinoyAu in Melbourne soon.

Looked for affordable flights from MNL to MEL earlier today, cheapest one I could find was around P20K (Malaysian Airlines) with a 5hour layover in KL. Opted with a PAL direct flight instead for P23K including airport fee. Para hindi na hassle sa pagcheckin twice.

i just wanna share my timeline and ask for your opinion and learn from it.

november 25- submitted application to ACU melbourne for bachelor of nursing
December 19- received offer letter
----long break for uni----
january 7 - mom processed for payment of fees while i was n cebu having medical exam
On that same day, ACU emailed me that admissions for melb and sydney campus is closed. no further admissions.

Cancelled process for wired transfer of fees

** received a new offer letter from ACU for FEB 2015 intake but decided to look for a different school that has july intake.

january 28 - decided to try to apply for march intake at CDU and USQ. some friends are going on same uni

january 30 - submitted uni application thru idp

february 6 - received offer letters from both uni

february 7- decided to go to USQ. processed payment of fee
------ feb 10 peertransfer received funds from mom's dollar acct; feb 12 funds has been transferred to USQ.

february 17- received eCoE

february 18 - lodged application for visa subclass 573 alx (svp) with the help of a counselor from IDP Cebu.

now waiting for visa. do you think i can still catch up for march intake cnsidering that itll be next next week na?

Hello. I am 17 years of age as of the moment and I am planning to take a Student visa when I am 18. I only finished high school. Is it necessary for me to take a 2 year course so I can apply for that visa? I want to take a caregiving course which is 6 months if that would be considered. Thank you

Sa mga nasa Victoria near or around Melbourne, baka naman po may alam kayong available part-time odd jobs for a fellow Pinoy. Para may mapagkunan kahit pamasahe lang sana to and from school. Any odd job that doesn't involve heavy lifting. Maraming salamat po.

Nagtry na ako mag submit ng applications sa seek.com.au, no luck so far. Kinakabahan lang ako kasi onti lang dala kong pera huhu.

Me and my husband just got an interview from australian embassy last feb 26 2014 and then I received that message today feb.28,2014... Nauna yung interview namin before magpamedical,.actually,we are not yet undergone medical process kasi merun ako menstrual flow ngayun..Posible ba na refused na kami agad kasi ibinabalik na nila yung documents namin?? by the way,I am applying for student visa under subclass 573 with my husband as dependant. Kindly enlighten with this please..nkakamatay na ang kaba.

@janinlee ...agree ako sa iyo sis and basing it on my experience when we arrievd here in 2010, dumating kami July 28 at naka first work by august 28 so bale one month din. nakakastress at that time kasi pa konti na lang ung baon namin na allowance. However with God's help and determination, first job na nakuha ko ay yong sa agency (Manpower Agency) at sa agency na yan, nakawork ako sa dalawang company. Then with God's providential grace, narefer ako sa isang pinoy friend sa company namin ngayon.......try to make us of your support group mga sis at apply ng apply lang...ang importante andito na kau at hindi na pwede mag give in sa mga trials na ito....learn to give and receive strength from each of our partners.....keep up the faith guys.....then if papasok na ang grasya, that's the time na PAY IT FORWARD naman....share with others the blessings

@fbclemente .....me and my friends can mention you to our support group....ready ka ba sa any kind of odd jobs like cleaner, waitressing, yaya or whatsoever? magbuhat ng kung ano ano? mag deliver ng newspaper sa isang neighborhood? we can ask our friends and other acquaintances.....we are not promising anything pero aasa tau lahat sa Diyos...mahirap nga maghanap ng work ngayon sa panahon na ito....and always be strong lalo na nasa malaung lugar tau....God bless you bro/sis....

hello eveyrone,

newbie here in the forum, i am an electrical engr. working in the elv/security systems field in the mid east for 8 years.

i'm planning of applying a student visa,subclass 173, masters in engineering technology.

My question is that is there a demand or enough job opportunities in the elv field in melbourne while studying and after graduation? and will this course help me in my future goal to have an rp?

@musolini ....hi marce....welcome to forum in behalf of all the members here....anyway ang masasabi ko sa share mo though honestly i'm not that familiar with elv prospects dito sa melby...pero yong kasama namin sa bahay ang kinukuha nya ay locksmith at isa yan sa mga malakas na field dito ngayon.....konti pa lang ang kumukuha ng locksmith dito...i am thingking kasi na locksmith is related to what you mentioned na security matters.....pero if magmasters ka just like my wife is doing, mahal ang masters dito at if kasama mo wife/partner mo ok lang dahil unlimited naman work time niya as long as mag umpisa na ang classes mo.....good luck bro.....
