Questions About Employeer Sponsored Visas

edited October 2013 in Employer Sponsored Visas
Hello everyone,

I have read the article at http://www.immi.gov.au/skilled/skilled-workers/sbs/visa-applicants.htm and I have a few questions po, na gusto ko sanang maconfirm or masagot from those who already have applied. I'm planning to work in AUS. Isa po akong Web Application Developer with three years of experience.

1. Sino po ang magbabayad ng $1035 Temporary Work (Skilled) (Subclass 457) Base Application Charge? Ako po o ang employer?
2. Kelangan po ba ng 5 years of experience? Or pwede na ba akong makahanap ng work with my current years of experience?
Or do I have to look for health insurance companies here in PH na pwede kong magamit sa AUS?
4. For English language proficiency, instead po na magtake ako ng IELTS, I'm thinking of getting a certification from my university that english is the means of communication. Okay lang po ba to?

Thanks po.

    Hi @11tomes,

I will answer ur query the best that I can.

    2. Kelangan po ba ng 5 years of experience? Or pwede na ba akong makahanap ng work with my current years of experience?

Ans: Sorry I don't have idea on this.

Or do I have to look for health insurance companies here in PH na pwede kong magamit sa AUS?

    4. For English language proficiency, instead po na magtake ako ng IELTS, I'm thinking of getting a certification from my university that english is the means of communication.

Yung wife and daughter ko, sa last week of November ang dating.

    Thanks!

    Hi Guys,

I have a few questions for when your partner will be sponsored by an employer:

    1. As a dependent, what kind of visa do you get? Will it be a Temporary Work visa (457), or something else? How would this affect you further down the line if you want to apply for residency? Is there any effect?

    2. Would it be better to apply as a Skilled Independent if you have the same job as your partner?

I'm trying to weigh which of the two would be a more flexible or better option for me and my partner in terms of cost, processing time, and possibility of getting approved.

    Hope you can help.

    Thanks.

    @quesoboy

    1. As a dependent your visa will be the same with your main applicant. If 457 ung main applicant, yan din ang sa dependent. Pag 457 visa mo, mas madali ang pag apply ng residency visa later on lalo na pag willing mag sponsor ang employer mo.

    2. If ayaw mo na sa employer mo or ang employer mo ay ayaw nang mag sponsor sau at confident kna mn sa skills mo u can apply for a skilled independent visa. But if ok kna mn sa employer mo at willing silang magsponsor go for employer sponsored visa.

Kung mag aaply ka ng residency either thru skilled independent or employer sponsored same lg namn ang visa cost.

    Hi @nfronda!

Thanks for replying! Nasagot yung ibang mga tanong ko. :)

My idea was to be a dependent, but look for a separate job on my own. How will this scenario play out?

I'd like to understand the process better so that I can determine which option, between being a dependent in my partner's visa versus applying independently as a Skilled Migrant, would be better.

@quesoboy, married ka ba sa partner mo or in de-facto lg? If married you are automatically considered as dependent and you don't need to apply independently as a skilled migrant kung merun namang mag sosponsor sa partner mo.

As a dependent, of course kasama ka sa sponsorship ng employer ng partner mo. But not necessarily na dun ka mag tatrabaho. As a dependent u can look for any job you want.

Pag partner kasi kau one application is enough na. Kung sino man sa inyo ang mag aaply for visa kasama na jan ang partner as dependent.

agree with nfronda ... kung employer sponsored yung primary applicant or yung iiniinsponsor he/she will be given a chance kung sino ang isasama nya sa application as dependant ... all you need to do is supply the documents na hihihngin nila ..... pagdating dito sa au start researching on how to get a more permanent visa

    Google for Everything !!!

    I see. Thanks, @nfronda & @JCsantos.

We're not married yet, but we've been in a relationship for 3 years now. Not living together though so I don't think I can claim that as de-facto, can I? We are considering having a civil marriage to be able to apply together though.

I'm trying to understand which would be a better option, i.e. have a civil wedding and applying together, or don't have a civil wedding and apply separately.

Would appreciate your two cents on this.

@quesoboy, for me, if you both really sure and happy with each other have a civil wedding and apply together. Much easier and much cheaper.

@jonasssshhhh..sponsorship is an employer responsibility.. sila dapt ang mgpaprocess nyan at magsubmit sa immigration. The best u can do na lg is punta ka sa immigration website and find the employer sponsorship checklist.. ibigay mo sa employer mo pra malaman nla kng anung mga documents ang kailangan na e submit.
