My husband and I will be arriving in Sydney next week. Student dependent visa ako and I'm hoping to get a job soon. Pati si hubby sana makahanap din agad pero sya kasi student visa kaya limited hours lang. Kaya naman ba to study and work at the same time? Ano marerecommend nyong work for nursing students? Worried lang ako baka mahirapan magconcentrate sa pagaaral si hubby.

@_maldita_ .....hi sis welcome to OZ....yet i'm not that familiar with Sydney kasi nga sicne 2010 until now, Melbourne based kami ni mrs.....but if we will base it here in melbourne, ang in na work ngayon dito ay aged care...so if you can have the time mag aral kau ng aged care III to get the certificate and be eligible to work as carer or any other field related sa aged care....masters ba si hubby mo? if not then both of you are limite to 40 hours per forthnight....basta tibay lang ng loob at saka be persistent in your prayers

@danyan2001us thank you for the advice. ang dami nga requirements din para makakuha ng job. will work on getting the certificate para makapagapply na. I'm also considering yung early childhood teacher although ang dami rin requirements. yes, we really need prayers.

@_maldita_ if maging qualified ka mag teacher dito sis ..dats very good kasi malaki ang compensation ng teacher dito sa OZ........anyway good luck sis sa lahat ng endeavors nyo ni hubby mo....

Hi guys,

Sa mga nasa Victoria near or around Melbourne, baka naman po may alam kayong available part-time odd jobs for a fellow Pinoy. Para may mapagkunan kahit pamasahe lang sana to and from school. Any odd job that doesn't involve heavy lifting. Maraming salamat po.

Nagtry na ako mag submit ng applications sa seek.com.au, no luck so far. Kinakabahan lang ako kasi onti lang dala kong pera huhu.

@appledeuce ...try natin ang ating Filipino support group dito at sa mga kasama ko sa grupo namin..saan ka ba banda dito sa Melbourne? I'm not promising anything pero trust lang tau in God na sana soon may makukuha kang odd job or whatever .....ikaw lang ba mag isa andito?

I'm living with relatives po so at least I don't have to worry about paying for accommodation but nahihiya naman ako kung pati everyday expenses ko like pamasahe eh hihingiin ko pa sa kanila. They are not asking me to pay for food din pero ciempre gusto ko rin po tumulong sa gastusin kahit toilet paper lang.

I would appreciate po referrals din.

I live in Taylors Lakes po. 15 minute walk from the Watergardens station on the Sunbury line.

May mga recent visa grants ba tau? share your experiences guys.....and good luck to those who are still waiting....can't help but be excited for wifey's finishing her masters by june and applying afterwards for 485 graduate temporary visa....then she can also work unlimited time on that time...God is good indeed.....what a journey indeed.....

Good luck to all of us guys especially that we will soon commence the month of april. Please include in your prayers my wife who will take her ielts exams by april 12. This is in preparation for our transition visa 485 graduate temporary visa by July this year. Hopefully she can achieve a obs of 8 or 9 to enable us to lodge EOI without her undergoing the professional year. If that happens and God permits, then we will save more or less 11k$ for the professional year. Praying too that all four accountant fields would still be present on July 1, 2014 SOL.
