Has any applicant ever left any country to avoid being removed or deported?

This is a question when applying for visa 189. Can anyone expound on this? I'd appreciate any answer

Specifically does this apply to me?

My student visa expired when I was in Australia and when I went to the immigration office they told me I have 28 days to stay in Australia. It's like their grace period. What I did was I left Australia on the 26th day. So technically I wasn't still being deported then or being removed. But i did leave the Oz so as not to incur any penalty. So does that apply to me? Then again don't everyone leave by the end of their visa for the same reason? So I don't really know how to answer that. Thank you.

Ako din di ko na gets exactly ung tanong or concerns. You went back before the grace period so there shouldnt be a problem. If after grace period then surely you will be fined/ penalised. Deportation is maybe if they found you overstaying intentionally i dont know.

Thanks for all your reply. I get what you're saying at buti na lang ganun ang response nyo kasi na lodge ko na ang visa

ANyway ganun na nga ang nangyari before the grace period ended umuwi na ko. Mejo kabado lang kasi ako because there was the fact na nag expire na nga ang visa ko. I was just seeking second opinion. Natakot kasi ako sa declaration na kapag daw inaccurate e baka madeny. Anyway ok na po. Salamat sa feedback

@rein_marco I think I get why you're a little concerned. If you really nitpick the question, technically, answering it with a 'yes' is correct, since you DID leave Australia (prior to the end of the 28-day grace period) to avoid getting deported (because if you did overstay, that would have put you at the risk of being deported, di ba?)

    Mejo malabo yung question imo.

Thank you for the response. Pwede mo ngang I interpret it that way. But i wasn't in danger of being deported or removed at the time that I left Australia. I also could answer that as I left Australia because I don't want to continue with any other visa anymore and just want to stay in the philippines while waiting for my permanent residency application. I mean I could've applied for another visa like tourist or another student visa but I didn't because no course interested me at that time. So therefore if to expound my answer to that question: no I didn't leave Australia to avoid being deported or removed, i left because I didn't want to pursue a tourist visa anymore and that I wanted to enroll in another course again and get another student visa at first but i couldn't find a course that I liked so I decided not to and left Australia on the 26th day of their 28 day grace period the same as anyone leaving near the end of their visa expiry.

^Nice. Buti ka pa, gustong mag-aral pa pero ang problem lang is walang nagustuhang course. Money is of no object naks haha. Yun kasi ang kadalasang challenge (funding). Sana ako din ganun. :D

anyone who leaves before his/her visa expires, implicit na one of the reasons is to avoid deportation because of overstaying. So I think malabo talaga yung question. #mema
