Hi all, can you please share your ideas where we can buy AUD? My choices right now are BDO and CZARINA. I'll buy this month since I think mas mababa ang AUD kapag december. Thanks!

    Hi Totoy,

If I use a BPI (PHP currency) ATM, to withdraw my money, what exchange rate will prevail? BPI's exchange rate?

Saka, does this mean di na pala kelangan magbukas ng bank account sa ANZ/Wespac/etc, bago pumunta dyan? As long as may ATM ka na kahit PHP ang laman.

    Thanks.

its an option kasi sabi mo kailangan mo ng Australian dollar. halos konti lang ang diperensya sa market exchange rate.

Of course needed na magbukas ng bank account dyan before makapagwork. The question is, before pa makapunta dyan.

Thanks heyits7me_mags. I got the link.

    Concerning the orig question . . .

You can always do a comparison, tingnan mu sa website yung forex rates ng banks dito cba/anz/westpac vs. bpi/bdo/czarina/etc.

Thanks sa replies, I think I'll just stick to BDO para mas safe. It's a big amount na naka deposit din sa BDO kaya dun na lang para less hassle. Up and down and AUD sana bumaba pa.

Share some thoughts please. thanks.

    @sohc
Kelangan mu is to set-up a wire-transfer para makuha mu yung funds mu from one country to another. Maybe it has something to do with the banking laws here.

@LokiJr wag ka na magopen ng ANZ bank account sa pinas. kase as far as I am concerned, lalabas na philippine bank account pa din yun, so may transaction fee pa rin ata pag ginamit mo yun.

ok na siguro yung magdala ka ng ATM from pinas at some dollar. nakabili ako ng AUD sa BDO.

madali lang magopen ng bank account dito.. in less than an hour tapos na.. efficient at hindi kasing arte sa pinas.

so don't worry so much about it =) recommended banks ko is Commonwealth Bank kase madaming Commonwealth bank dito at siguro NAB..

share ko case ko, I opened an account sa NAB online, they gave me my account number pero kelangan ko pa rin magpunta sa specified branch para ma-activate yung account ko and to present yung mga docs. nagfillup pa ako ng form online. hassle diba? eh pwede naman pala walk-in lang. so ang ginawa ko, di ko ginamit yung account from NAB online. nagopen na lang ako ng account sa CBA since yun ang pansin ko na madaming ATM dito. anyway, another reason pa is - banks give higher interest on the first few months. so kung di mo pa naman gagamitin yung account at wala pa laman, then sayang naman yung interest rate diba? interest rate dito sa australia is really high compared sa pinas.. ~5% up ang interest rate.
