Hi po @lock_code2004 and to all our kababayans who can give advice. Here's our case: My hubby is the principal applicant. His job is in the CSOL and so far, he has 50 pts excluding ielts and SS. Since his ielts was not enough to get an extra 10pts, we were thinking of obtaining relative sponsorship from my sister who is already an au citizen and is based in Adelaide. Question po: Can a bro-in-law be sponsored, with the intention of including me and our daughter as dependents in his visa app? I know time is of the essence, hence the desire to submit the EOI soonest and get the ball rolling. Is this a faster/better pathway than a 190? He's already stressed over ielts, sadly. As for me, my occupation is in the SOL but due to curriculum differences bet au and phil, my assessment, I think, would take a year-long process compared to his. He already got positive skills assessment from vetassess. If I take the ielts, would that be enough to gain 5 pts more for partner skills or do I still have to get my work exp and credentials fully assessed? Appreciate po your valuable advice. there are 2 types of visa 489
1. family sponsored
- occupation should be in SOL.. therefore hindi pwde ang asawa mo dahil nasa CSOL sya
- im not sure kung pwede magsponsor ang brother-in law.. hopefully maka sagot ang iba
- dapat nasa designated area din ang sponsor.. check the immigration website to know kung aling area sa adelaide ang designated area..

2. state sponsored (regional)
- occupation should be in CSOL, at nasa in demand List ng state
- so i guess ito ang pwede sa inyo... provided na nasa list nga ng state ang occupation nya

pareho lang ang processing ng visa 190 at 489... dpende ang bilis sa dami ng available slots at applicants..

now for your assessment questions...
lahat naman ng assessments kailangan ng work and credentials..
at different naman talga ang AU at curriculum ng Pinas.. so all of us were processed according to their educational qualification guidelines..

that 'the relative or the relative's partner you want to sponsor must be your:'
... brother, sister, adoptive brother, adoptive sister, stepbrother, step sister...
looks like hindi ksama ang bro-in-law sa list.

Ask ko lng po, yung 489 na regional sponsored sa Southern Inland, NSW, ok po ba i-pursue? civil engineer po ang profession. nabasa ko po dito na pag walang mahanap na job puedeng mag request na makalipat ng ibang state, tama po ba? paano na po yung requirement na 2 yrs live and work on that region to be qualify to permanent visa, mawawala na po ba yun? pls help. thanks!

if yan lang pwede mo applyan, pursue it...not necessary naman to work in your skilled occupation to qualify for 1 year full-time work...any basta 35hrs per week work...you can ask your sponsoring state to transfer but we dont know, baka 1 reason ito not to approve your PR kasi di mo sinunod condition ng visa mo...actually kung ang Federal Govt ang tatanungin mo, any regional area of australia pwede ka maghanap..pero as a moral obligation dapat mo sundin baka kasi balikan ka later ng state when you apply for PR

Just to give insights to aspiring 489 visa applicants, I have a 489 visa (took me less than a year), was sponsored by my brother who is from QLD. Arrived last October and since then looking for a permanent job, got some part-time/temp jobs lately. Now applying for my partner and kid's 489 subsequent entrant visa (my brother is the their sponsor). If you have any related questions, just hit me up. Cheers!

hi . hope you could help me. weve just granted a 489 visa and the condition is we need to arrive there before nov 3, 2016. i am pregnant right now and our plan is to there for a short trip before nov 3. maybe 3weeks to 1 months then go back to philippines to give birth by december. and then plan to go back in australia bu feb next year.

is it okay to leave for 6months na di maapektuhan visa? di nga lng xa macount on the 2 years stay para maconsider for permanent residnecy? am i right? wala kasi ko makita regarding travelling conditions.

You can be in the Philippines as long as you wanted and go back before your visa expires...yon nga, di sya counted towards the two years residency for periods na nasa Ph ka

HI @MSS sorry medyo late reply, I was sponsored by my brother for the 489 visa, about the 489 subsequent naman ( partner & kids) you need to provide all documents na nagpapatunay na ikaw nagsusupport sa knila like bank transactions, medical checkup (from St. Lukes), birth cert, marriage contract, partners docs ( EOC, proof of english medium of instruction/IELTS, TOR).

Hi po! Ano po required Ielts score sa assessment body sa accountant for 489 visa?, kasi sa website nila dalawa lang ang choices either 485 visa( 6 required all) or permanent residency ( 7 all required. Wala po para sa provisional visA. Thanks.

Hello all, any of you may idea. When I applied 489 i was single po, recent event, will got married and will be expecting a baby. During my 1st entry po, do i need to declare na I'm pregnant, do i need to write to the territory department, to inform them of my changes of status? Will apply for subsequent entry for the baby and hubby once possible na po and ready na documents.

if I decide po to deliver the baby in Au, will it be citizen po? or it is only for PR po?

@archbunki hi, meron ka na ba Grant? If so i think need mo na i-apply ng separate visa application yung mag ama mo kasi tapos na yung visa application mo.

Regarding sa panganganak, hindi pa citizen nor PR ang magiging anak mo pag pinanganak mo siya sa Oz under 489 visa. You will need to apply a visa for her/him

Yung mga 189 and 190 holder pag nanganak sa Oz yun citizen na agad baby nila.

@StarJhan Thank you, yes we will apply for them po. meantime mag first entry lang muna sana ako. weeks pregnant plang naman ako. was wondering do i need to inform the gov't im entering pregnant. weekend lang din naman ako pupunta.

pag 1st entry ba okey lang naman diba na 1-2 days?

@archbunki welcome. Yes ok lng kahit ilangvaraw ka ma stay dun for your initial entry and also i think no issue din if pupunta ka dun ng weeks pregnant.

Btw, kelan ang official Initial entry date deadline mo?

@StarJhan Thanks again po sa reply. March 15 2017 ang deadline ko. we have decided better go there earlier, balak sana namen pag punta ko next year tuloy tuloy na. Pero pag 489 tayu wala pa tayu medical insurance - based sa narinig ko. Kaya mahal manganak dyan mga nasa 16K daw.

So entry nlng and after delivery and few months balik na dyan pag malaki laki ng unti si baby.
