@cavalier18 yes, i lodged a new ACS assessment at AUD500. backup plan lang in case wala pa invite by august. kasi yung comp eng'g course ko hindi daw related sa 261111 kaya hayun 60 points lang ako. pero hoping pa rin meron ss (65 pts) invite by then. from what i read sa ibng forums parang wlang 60pts na 2611 na nainvite under 189 as of august/september 2013

guys, when you lodge for VIC SS at 65 points, does it give you an advantage over 60 points na applicants? thanks

i think walang bearing yung points, kasi yung availability ng job mo sa labor market nila yung nichecheck nila. so kahit na 70 pts na yun tapos hindi naman kelangan yung occupation mo sa job market nila, i think wala din use. may mga 55 pts lang naman na nag apply ng VIC SS na naging successful un application.

sana nga meron ss invite ng victoria by june or july.

akala ko kasi meron bearing ang points sa ss vic.

@cgm, nope, walang bearing ang points, I remember may mga kasabayan ako sa kabilang forum na nag lodge ng VIC SS na mas mataas ang points kaysa sa akin, they got 60/65 points na w/o SS and were applying for Software Engineer and Software Tester. Ako naman 55 points lang w/o SS and was applying for Analyst Programmer. I got invited and sadly they did not. So it really depends on what SOL you are in. I also think tinitingnan nila yung resume mo, kung ano ba ang mga naging past job mo at kung ilang years na. So yeah, tama si @rooroo, they invite people who can supply yung demand ng job market nila.

Hi fellow Pinoys,

I found this thread closely relevant sa concerns ko regarding my application for a visa in Victoria.
First share ko muna yung situation.

Im an ECE with more than 5yrs exp sa Telco Industry. I have a relative in Victoria who is willing to sponsor para mkarating ako don. Long way pa ako kasi i just took ielts last May 17 waiting for the result pa pero pinaplano ko maigi as early as now kasi magpapaassess nq ng skill after dumating ang result ng ielts ko.

Patulong sana ako if may idea po kayo on the ff concerns:

1. Yung Uncle ko hindi ko first degree uncle, first cousin sya ng mama ko so sa culture natin uncle ko sya. Assuming kaya ko iproduce ang supporting docs to prove our blood relation (family tree and birth certs of people involved), macoconsider bang eligible family member sya para sponsoran ako?

2. Related to #1, that shud be visa 489 po?

3. Alin po ba ang mas ok ko gawing direction, visa 190 (victoria state sponsorship) then just state na may relative ako don na magsusupport sakin? Or i should go for visa 489 pero possible concern is eligibility ng sponsor ko.

4. Relative to #3, however ung nominated skill ko mukang wala sa SOL ng Victoria PERO nasa SOL ng Australia in general, in fact nsa top 6 indemand skill listed sa skillselect (telecommunication engineer). Should I pursue visa 190 with this possible conflict sa general SOL at Victoria SOL?

1. i think hindi pwede syang maging sponsor mo.. dapat 1st degree relative lang.. or atleast adoptive relative.. read who can sponsor you from this page. http://www.immi.gov.au/Visas/Pages/489.aspx

2. assuming pwede sya, yes thats visa 489 relative sponsorship..

3. 489 is temporary visa 4 yrs... while 190 or 189 is permanent residence visa..

4. read the difference... there are 2 types of visa 489
- visa 489 relative sponsored, dapat nasa SOL Australia, and the sponsor should be living in a designated area
- this is different from visa 489 regional sponsorhip, dapat nasa state list ng victoria... so hindi ang relative mo ang magsponsor syo. kundi ang region.. i know its confusing pero pareho kasi silang visa 489

Anyways relative sa mga sagot mo kabayan, may ilang tanong pa ako, assuming pasado skill assessment ko, at ang mga ito ang option ko (regardless kung applicable or not:

1. Visa 189
2. Visa 190 (state nominated) - pde ba ispecify ko nlang na victoria ang preferred ko? then my relative ako na magsusupport sakin (sabe nila makakatulong yun sa decision if iggrant totoo ba un?
3. Visa 489 relative sponsorship - if uubra pag nagattach aq ng birth certs ng mga involved to prove blood relation
4 visa 489 regional sponsorship - pede ren ba specify rito ang preferred region like mga low populated area pero in Victoria?

Then, sa pagsend ko ng eoi, need ko na ba magdecide agad kung anong visa ang prefered ko? Or supply ko lang lahat ng info, then bahala ang DIAC maginvite kung anong visa ang angkop sakin?

ah malamang kayo na next. Nagmessage din sakin ung VIC e. di daw nila makita ung EOI ko haha! Ganun pala pag mag invite na 189.

Question: After submitting your EOI, How come others are tagged as 'Rejected'? Any specific reasons as to why they are rejected?


Question 2: If the 'cap' has been reached, what will happen to those EOI that has a status of 'Waiting/Pending'?

1. know your nominated occupation..
if its in SOL - ypu can apply for visa 189, or visa 489 relative sponsorship
if its in CSOL-you can apply for visa 190 or visa 489 regional sponsorship

2. yes you can, as long as your nominated occupation is in Victoria's state nominate occupation list..

3. yes

4. yes..

in EOI, you need to specify which visa/state you want to apply to..

i suggest if you will be processing on your own (w/o an agent).. please read this from page 1.. most of your questions are answered here..

@raki03 congrats sa invitation. Siguro kaya mabilis pa yung sa amin dahil 3 months pa lang nun since nagbukas ang financial year. Medyo maaga, now kasi medyo end na ng financial year at siguro marami na nakapilang nag aapply ng state sponsorship. Anyways, invited ka naman na, I pray for your speedy visa grant.

mga sir and madams, ask ko lang po sana, yung nominated occupation ko (Telecommunications Network Engineer) ay wala sa Victoria SOL, pero nasa CSOL nila. ppwede pa rin po ba ako mgapply for Victoria State Sponsorship? if yes, may Tito po aq na titirahan sa Melbourne, am i allowed to lieve there since under Vic rin ang melbourne? hi, ok lang as long as nasa list nila yung occupation mo for state nomination.
under visa 190, you can live anywhere in Victoria including Melbourne.

Pero ask ko lang po sana if ano difference ng SOL at CSOL ng isang state, at bakit may mga occupations na wala sa SOL(ng state) at CSOL(ng state)?

@danz1213 sa nababasa at pagkakaintindi ko, SOL is the list of occupations in demand for the independent 189 visa and CSOL is the consolidated list of occupations, which are less in demand which are for any other points-based visa like the 190 state sponsored/
The SOL is a list of skills that are in shortage all over Australia. The CSOL list is a list of skills that are in shortage in certain states...

Tinignan ko ngayun yung nominated occ ko, wala sa SNOL pro sa CSOL mero but they indicated na PhD grads ang magrerely sa CSOL, then i suppose non-PhD ay sa SNOL magrerely. Given the quoted statement from victoria website, hingi po sana ako ng further insights. Salamat po.

1. You first check kung nasa SOL ot CSOL ang occupation mo..

2. Kung nsa SOL- you can apply for 189 / 489 relative

3. Kung nasa CSOL - you can apply for visa 190/489 regional

4. Now to select which state, you need to also check nasa SNOL - this is the state list..

If i get your situation correctly, your occupation is in CSOL but not in SNOL victoria- then hindi ka pwde ma sponsor ng VIC kasi nga wala sa SNOL nila..

@lock_code2004 Yes thats exactly my situation as of now sir and thanks now its crystal clear. Hopefully mabago at magopen yung nominated occupation by July changes. ang conflicting lang sa diac vs state migration plans, may nakahighlight na 6 golden occupation kung saan inalis na yung ceiling at nilakihan ang # of invitationss, yet sa SNOL ng Victoria (i just dont know sa ibang state) e wala yung ilan sa 6 high level of interest na occupation nayun.

Also sir lockcode, if i opt to switch to telecom technologist/technician from telecom engr, will it affect in any case the salary package that a potential employer will give, and if i can still apply as a telecom engineer kapag nasa Vic na? Assuming ill only nominate telecommunication tech as a pathway for a visa?

@danz1213 - you choose an occupation code wisely.. which one would give you a higher chance of getting a positive assessment plus also make sure that it is available in the state you want, especially if you need points for state 190..

the occupation code will not matter pagdating mo dito.. occupation code is only for assessment and immigration purposes.. it will not matter sa pag-apply ng job mo pagnandito kana.. kahit anung work pwde mong pasukan... as long as qualified ka..

so your first objective is to get a positive assessmen and a visa...

@lock_code2004 hi sir lockcode, in that context sa tingin ko need ko tlgang iswitch sa telecom technologist ksi nsa melbourne ung uncle q na magsusupport skin. And wala na sa SNOL ung telecom engr. Hope na lang aq na marefresh ung SNOL ng Vic by July. ang prob ko is di ko alam kung pano iconstruct ung CDR ko into technologist field plus ung COE ko na detailed ay pang telecom engr at naproduce kona. If ever pede po ba as is yung CDR at COE/JD content ko pero ang inonominate ko ay telecom technologist?

Nangyari yata ito kay torontonsky from telco engr to telco tech dko lang alam kung bnago nya CDR nya o ung EA Assessor ang nagsuggest na gawing Telco technologist dhil wla na sa STate SOL ung nominated nyang telco engr.
