    yup.. binago nila ang visa name/number starting jul2012 for skillselect..
    -175 is the same as 189 now.. independent..
    -176 is equivalent to 190 now.. state sponsored..

    wala nmn issue sa application, except natagalan lang sa pagkuha ng pcc sa diff countries.. im still abroad, baka next year pa ako pupunta AU..

    -189 is independent (w/o state sponsorship)
    -190 is with state sponsorship.. you will get additional 5 pts for the state sponsorship, but this means additional step sa process and of course application fee for the state kung saan kayo mag-aapply.. once approved... there is an obligation to stay in the state for at least 2 years..

    another difference is kung ano ang mas mabilis ma invite...
    although may extra step ang 190 (SS), pag approved na ang SS, parang automatic invitation na sya..

    ang 189 naman is walang extra step (w/o SS), but it will take time to get an invitation (of course considering your EOI points)..

    @dhey_almighty Hello Deo... nagaapply ka na pala sa Oz... malamang hindi mo pa ako kilala dito... :-D Graduate tayo pareho ng Mapua year 2000 in short classmate. mukhang kelangan mo ulitin ang IELTS kasi sayang ang points sa DIAC for IELTS. minimum in all subtest is 7.0 not OBS.

    Ang EA malamang no problem ka dun. Saan state mo balak kumuha ng State sponsorship?

    actually, sabi ng agent namin, no need to take up the ielts, although 7 lang ang OBS ko, okay na daw yun at pasok naman ang points ko kahit walang ielts...

    hinde pa namin sure kung saang state namin balak magpa-sponsor, pero sabi nila sa perth daw e maganda ang bigayan sa mga engineers...but i really dont know about it...any suggestions?

    yung mga kamag-anak ni misis sa NSW, Occupational Therapist si misis and one option nga yang NSW..pero bahala na, kung saan pwede... :-)

    @dhey_almighty - EA assessment requirement is one thing (min 6pts), and state sponsorship's IELTS requirement is another..

    so please double check ung mag-aaply kayo ng 190 (SS), check nyo ang minimum required score sa IELTS nung state na un for your occupation..

    so my point is, makapasa ka man sa EA assessment, hindi ka rin ma-sponsor ng state kung hindi mo ma reach ang min IELTS score nila.. example for engineers in NSW (min score required is 7)

    as far as my agent is concern, sabi niya okay naman ako sa Western Australia at okay na daw yung ielts score ko so far...well, hopefully nga at ayaw ko nang ulitin yung ielts at baka bumagsak pa...hahaha, but thanks anyways sa payo...

    Hi guys, I was granted a Skilled Migrant Visa subclass 175 just last week. It only took a little over 3 months processing from lodge to grant, I was so ecstatic when I got the news. Now, I started to shift my focus to job prospecting through the internet and most of the experiences I've read so far are so disheartening. I have never been unemployed since graduating from college. And the concept of job-hunting for an average of 3 months, possibly even more, scares me. I was hired by an IT Company in Cebu 1 month before graduations, currently I've been outsourced in Japan for almost 6 years now and my work experience and expertise are in the field of Wireless Technologies and Antenna Design. I like my work in JP but since I am just a contract worker I started eyeing Aussie for the long term, plus my Tita who has lived there for almost 20 years now urged me enthusiastically. I was really motivated and hopeful when I was applying for Visa, now that I have it and have read some people's experiences like how Aussie employers care so much about "local experience", I'm having second thoughts. How hard is it really to find a job in your field in Aussie? Do any of you guys have regrets?

    October 16, 2012 - Submitted CDR to EA
    February 27, 2013 - Received Favorable letter from EA (Mechanical Engineer - ANZSCO 233512) Thank you Lord!
    March 8, 2013 - Applied WA SS
    March 25, 2013 - Received Letter for WA SS (delaying/maximising 28 days; waiting for civil wedding)
    May 31, 2013 - Submitted Visa Application (with everything; PCC Saudi, NBI, Marriage certificate, etc)
    July 11, 2013 - CO Assigned / Team 7 Adelaide
    August 17, 2013 - Done with the Medicals
    September 4, 2013 - Visa Grant (Subclass 190 / ANZCO233515 - Mechanical Engineer) Thank you Lord! / IED August 23, 2014
    August 8, 2014 - Flight to Oz, No turning Back, This is it!
    May 2015 - End of relationship
    June 2015 - Wife found new partner (aussie)
    October 2015 - Wife filed for divorce (That cunt)
    January 2016 - Divorced
    August 2018 - Lodged Citizenship
    March 2019 - Sit in Citizenship Exam/Interview

    @ptcsonic I dont think it is a necessity.. they look more on the experience...but kung nag iistruggle ka to penetrate sa industry you can study to familiarise yourself in the system here.

    Sep 9, 2013 - Started work with the same company i worked for in UAE/USA
    Oct 28, 2013 - Moved to another company.. ;)

    @dhey_almighty sa tingin ko hindi naman sila mahigpit basta iprovide mo lang ang kelangan nila. yun lang naman paggawa ng CDR ang medyo mahirap pero kung may solid experience ka naman at may pattern ka sa paggawa, you can do it quickly.

    @lock_code2004 salamat, sensya na I dont know how to use this forum.. hindi ko alam kung may nagtatanong sa akin..he he he..pls guide me sa paggamit nito....

    Ang EA naman imporatante lang sa atin para sa assessment sa immigration but the truth is in reality dito kapag nagpapractice ka na, hindi naman requirements. They even called it as "namemera" lang din. Mas importante dito na maging "Registered Building Practitioner" ka coz that is the time that you can certify your work...

    But anyway if you need ng sample ng CDR just let me know and I can give you a copy...huwag nyo na lang pipintasan yung grammar ko. he he he

    @phrism you can make it.do it while you are young if you really like it.but be prepared not only financially but emotionally and spiritually...
