Some Job Hunting Tips

Hi po, I am still in SG and will go OZ if may magandang offer na at sure job latest Jan 30, 2017. I am proud to say na I had 4 enquiries, since last month ako nag apply.

Employer 1: emailed me and ask me how much asking without interview and when I said my asking salary, di daw kaya ng budget at if ever magbago isip ko ay mag email lang daw ako.

Employer 2: Email me and want to schedule interview kinabukasan, unfortunately nasa SG ako and I told him if puede skype, he said need daw nandito na OZ

Employer 3; Emailed me and want to test my skills before skype interview, hiningi ko ang requirements nya and binigay naman nya, still thinking if gagawin ko dahil medyo matrabaho din

Employer 4: Emailed me, sabi nya nakita nya sa seek and if interested daw ako mag relocate since SG address pa kasi nakalagay sakin. Di ko pa rineplyan para kasi di akma sakin yung position but I will email him tonight.


Tama po angmga nagsuggest dito kailagan talaga i tugma ang job description sa cover letter palang , plus the subject na ilalagay para mapansin and open ang email ( by the way I email them directly )

In 2 weeks yan po ang mga nagemail sakin and sa seek.com.au lang ako apply wala pa si careerone.

Also mas maganda talaga kayo ang nauuna nag aaply mahilig ako magcheck every hour din sabay apply thru email and seek.

@grant512 its a good start..possible tlga ang offshore job hunting..si hubby matumal...mga 4 na rejection letters na..nakalagay din sa amin sg address pro may au number nmn..bka ung skills set ni hubby hndi in-demand and bka need to cater tlga ung job description sa cover letter..sa ngyn stop muna sa paghahanap..pagmalapit na big move dun ulit.hehe

@kittykitkat18 malapit na pala punta nyo dun yes very important talaga na i cater sa job description ang cv. Planning to fly first din sana to prepare everything at ma scout ang place to suit my family.

To all, baka maging effective din sa inyo, try googling and company na related sa work nyo then compile them with the email address of HR and email them directly , since hindi naman lahat nag popost sa Seek or career one.

@elleb1 yes lahat nagpost sila sa seek. Di ko pa tinry magsend sa mga company directly kahit na di nagpopost ng job vacancy, pero na try ko ito sa SG at may mga nagreply din.

I followed the OZ CV format very simple and direct lang pero sa cover letter ayaw nila generic, para simple pag introduce lang ng skilsset mo, then i-tailor mo sa job description, best accomplishment mo professionally wag lang masyado mahaba. When we say customize your cover letter as in talaga mag effort tayo na this cover letter is exclusive for this company since eto ang pinaka pogi points natin.

Just give your best shot during the interviews kasi competition here in Australia is really tough. Personally i think mas mahirap kesa sa SG. You are competing with new migrants and locals for the position. Also, unless you already signed on the job offer, mahirap makasiguro kasi may mga employer na nagbabago pa isip at last minute. Goodluck

yup. lalo na sa umpisa, mahirap kasi every month na wala kng work eh bawas ng bawas sa baon mo un. pero kapag nakahanap ka na ng work mas ok na, kasi pwede ka kumapit hanggat makalipat ka sa bagong work
