Question about WORK EXP and College degree taken

Hi folks!

I'm new in this thread. Glad to know that we have a forum like this.
Right now, I'm about to apply online in ACS. Medyo pressure nga kase dapat maka-lodge na ako before July 1 kase sabi ng friend ko na kaka-migrate lang, maghhigpit daw. Yikes!
QUESTION: Dapat ba Skilled or RPL yung category ko? Kase I have almost 6 years of IT experience in an SAP technology. Pero ung course ko nung college is ECE. Is that an ICT course pa rin ba?

Hi! Question lang. Not sure kase if nagpost ung tanong ko knina. ICT course ba ang ECE? I was thinking kase kung dapat Skills Assessment or RPL Assessment ung kunin kong category sa pag-apply sa ACS. I have almost 6 years of experience in an SAP technology. Thanks!

hmmm i think i saw this king of scenario before sa ibang thread, parang alam ko pag hindi pareho ang course and Work exp sa vetaassess dapat ang ganitong case? can anyone here confirm about stolich18's case?

Hi Jayjee09! May 2 project reports pa kase na nirrequire ang RPL ASsessment. I'm checking ung sa Skills Assessment, may Group A and Group B. Parang pde rin kase ako sa group B (ie. parang ICT minor ung degree ko, with at least 20% of the units, ICT-related).. Ang hirap, hinahabol ko pa naman makpaglodge before July 1 this year. Kaya pa kaya. hehe Nagiisip na rin ako mag-agency instead na independent application...

@stolich18, pwede ka siguro makipag nego sa agency... kasi may alam ka nanaman sa procedure and process, sana manenegotiate mo kamo na kailangan mo lang e consultation. baka makamura ka. instead of getting their full package?

@aolee, ok kaya ung national visas na agency? parang super mahal heheh kahit ung respall pero tried and tested na raw respall, don ung kapitbhay namin tapos nasa AU na sila ngayon hehe

Sorry nagdigress ulit. Anyway, may nabasa ako sa isa sa mga thread dito na group B ung isang person kase BS Math course nya sa UP, pero IT ung career nya. Pag group B, under Skills Assessment pa rin un tama? Kelangan pa ba ng VEtAssess? TIA.

Question po... If you have worked primarily sa call centers as Technical Support and/or Service Desk/Helpdesk, and course mo is BS Major in Computer Science and Information System; Pede bang inominate ang ICT Business Analyst?

hi stolich18, I think nafigure out mo na yung sa case mo pero just letting you know yung points sa educational background, puwede namang hindi related sa nominated occupation mo hehe

@KTP, kung tingnan niyo po sa immi website, may specific responsibilities po yung "ICT Business Analyst"...kung eksaktong ganun ang ginagawa niyo as Technical Support, then puwede po inominate ang occupation...otherwise, hindi nila iaapprove ang application niyo. Dun po sa course niyo, walang problema naman, di yan kkuwestiyonin hehe

@LokiJr, naku nasa Stage 0 pa lang ako, hindi pa ako nakakapagsubmit ng kahit ano online sa ACS. huhuhu Niffollow up ko pa lang kase COE with detailed JD sa former manager ko, pati sa current team lead ko. hehhe Target ko by end of Feb or first week of March, makasubmit na ng application sa ACS. Kinabahan tlga ako dun sa nabasa ko kase na may certain % ng course curriculum ung dapat na ICT-specific etc... hehehe

regarding dun sa points sa educational background, you are already referring to the Immigration Visa application na noh? hehhe nasa ACS application preps stage pa lang kase ako eh. waaahh mkakahabol kaya ako na maka-lodge before July? hehe I hope so!

@LokiJr Hello po. Is this applicable to other skilled visas? Ito yung nakaka bother sakin kasi my husband has units in Mechanical engineering but hindi ito ang degree nya kasi nag shift out sya. However, dahil employed sa business, ang experience nya is welding and refrigiration which are both in SOL.
