IELTS Exam taker in Kuala Lumpur Dec 2014

Is anybody here going to take an exam for IELTS in Kuala Lumpur this coming December? I'm currently working in Selangor as Accountant and planning to take IELTS at the same time. I'm studying online for about a month now since there is no review center here similar to 9niners in the Philippines. Has anybody had any experience with how the IELTS exam the Malaysian way? Thanks for your insights.

    i think its the same as in Manila and Singapore. Here in SG, u need to register ur test date online. there is an option to take the written (listening, Reading and writing) and Speaking all in 1 day or written on Thursdays schedules or saturdays then speaking test on a different day. During the test day, u will need to register and get your photo taken. u r not allowed to bring anything inside the test room, kasi provided na ang stationaries, plus only clear bottled water lang ang allowed sa loob, even candies are not allowed. i was not even allowed to bring in lozenges kasi wala akong prescription kasi obviously inuubo ako that time. they were very strict, you need to call the staffs attention kung gusto mo mag toilet and they will accompany to pa, on top of this, you need to do fingerscan every time na mag toilet ka.

    @xiaomau82 wow I never thought they are that strict. so which do you prefer? taking the exam in 1 day or on seperate days? and how about coin purse? also not allowed?

    Dito sa MY meron dalawang test centers na alam ko. IDP at British Council. Sa IDP hilwalay ang speaking test, weekdays lang schedule nila. Ang listening, reading at writing weekend naman. Sa BC kadalasan 1 day lang exam nila, sa umaga ang listening, reading, at writing tapos sa hapon naman ang speaking. Kung gaano ka higpit same lang din sa sinabi ni Xiaomau82.

    Meron din IELTS course ang BC, kailangan mo lang mag take ng exam para ma sukat nila ang level ng English mo saka ka pa lang pwede mag enroll. Sa IDP naman meron silang 1 week preparatory IELTS course. Yun lang :)

    Both test center na try ko... di ko na kuha target band ko kasi tamad mag review. Pero mas mataas yung score na nakuha ko sa BC at meron na silang free stationary kapag nag enroll ka. Meron din pala silang 30 hrs free review via online. Good luck :)
