@ej123456 I suggest you include all of your work experience, if you read the ANZCO code job descriptions closely, konti lang ang differences from each one, kahit as software engineer meron doon duty to do testing, so may possibility na ACS can assess your design engg work as software engineer. Besides may "engineer" padin naman sa titles mo, which is consistent. Hayaan mo si ACS ang mag-assess -- don't leave anything out because you will need all the work experience years you can get especially that ACS deducts years from your work exp for the skill requirement.

here's my previous and current work:
1. PHP Developer - 1 year 2 months - web development using Joomla and Moodle
2. SCSM Developer - 6 months - SCSM development using C#.NET (for sure hindi na to pasok)
3. Software Engineer - 3 years this Feb - telecommunication software tools using various frontend and backend technologies

I'm leaning towards Software Engineer pero hindi pa sure.

Hi, question for anyone. I was assessed before ng ACS with AQF Diploma major in computing. I'm planning to submit my reassessment this year, possible ba na magchange pa yan? Like for example maging bachelor's degree? Also, may impact pa din ba ang school when it comes to this? Mine not being a university, thanks in advance!

Hi @jaceejoef, in terms of the occupational ceilings, both are under 2613XX and share the same ceiling/quota. Do you have your COEs already? It will depend ano sinulat ng employers mo doon hehe coz sometimes they just put in generic stuff

@tiggeroo meron na po akong COE except for the current job though, yun nga, generic COEs lang. Follow up ko sila this week for the detailed COEs.

Nabasa ko din sa ibang forum na ang pinagkaiba ng Developer Programmer and Software Engineer is just about the design phase. Kung nagdedesign ka Software Engineer, otherwise Developer Programmer.

I'm not sure yet, ang "dapat" kasi hindi kami magdedesign sa current work ko pero since hindi naman talaga nasusunod yun, our counterparts let us design sometimes.

From which school po ba? There is a high risk na indi na mabago assessment sa school mo. If you were assessed to have an a degree equivalent to an AQF Diploma, that means, you can only claim 10 points for educational qualification.

Mix of support sa sytem (AD, Exchange 2013 and windows server) at merong kunting networking. Yung 4 years technical support na experience ko mix of networking din. I hope papayag yung hr namin kung sakali man.

Hi Po, bago lang po ako dito sa pinoyau sorry po sa mga itatanong ko pero sana masagot ninyo or if okay lang ba na dito ko itanong. anyway..

I'm 25 yrs old na po and planning to work in Australia hopefully this year or kahit next year (sorry di ko kasi alam kung gaano katagal makakuha ng VISA). I have more than 4yrs experience as a .Net Developer or Programmer to be specific. I'm also planning to take a Microsoft Certification this year and I'm currently a Level 1 and Level 2 Certified Umbraco Developer.

Questions ko po
1.) Possible po ba na mag apply ng Work Visa kahit yung temporary lang kahit walang sponsor ng company? wala pa kasi ako nakikitang company na pwede mag sponsor sa akin e.
2.) Anong job site po sa AU yung may mga employer na nag ssponsor? I'm currently looking sa Seek kaso parang wala naman dun.

@jmaghuyop not to discourage u.mahrap po maghanap ng employer na magsponsor syo unless u have set of skills na ala na sila makukuha sa AU. Try mo visa 189 or 190..check mo kng anong nominated occupation na syo..u need at least 60 pts to be selected..mas higher mas better..cisco and microsoft certifications acceptable by ACS.dunno kng nay nadagdag pa sa certifications.

ah ganun po ba?, hehe okay lang po yun... thanks po pala sa advice I just looked sa CSOL and nandun naman po yung Developer Programmer 261312. may bayad po ba mag pa assestment sa ACS tsaka sa MARA? kaka check ko lang din po ngayon Microsoft and Cisco nga lang yung pwede...

@jmaghuyop kung CSOL ka lng pde.check kng san state ka for nomination. Visa 190 pag state nomination...ACS around 500 aud. Wag ka na mag agent..do it urself nlng..basa basa sa forum and tanong tanong..libre lng.hehe

@jmaghuyop at age 25, if you are a recent graduate from a top university, another option would be the 476 visa, it is temporary but allows you to work in australia and no ACS assessment needed, then from there saka mo nalang ituloy to a 189 or 190 visa

@tiggeroo I graduated in 2011 at Technological Institute of the Phil. not sure if it counts as a top university. haha meron po ba silang site where I can see the list of schools? and if ever po how many years naman po yung 476 temporary visa?

@kittykitkat18 thanks po sa info, medyo mahal din pala 500aud. can I ask po sa mga steps na dpat ko gawin as a first timer or as a starter?

@jmaghuyop yup mahal din 500aud pro umpisa plng yan ng gastos..be prepared po sa gagastusin kasi payment sa lodgement is around 3600 aud sa main applicant.tpos language exam pa na around 250 to 300 usd depende kng PTE or IELTS.

First step is skills assessment..pag positive skill assessment next is language exam..either IELTS or PTE. ..you need at least 60 pts..kng visa 190 yan..im not familiar sa process

@jmaghuyop hey I think we almost have the same case. look at my sig. the only difference is my school which is in section 3 while yours is in section 2. Though di pa ako nag papaassess.

@tiggeroo currently UP lang ang nirerecognized nila based sa page ng DIBP. best chance ni @jmaghuyop is to take 189 or 190. Or if he's willing to shell out money in OZ education, mag student visa nalang sya. cost 21 to 22k /year (700K PHP), plus food, transpo, rent, etc mo pa.

@redmartrichard paano po malalaman kung anong section yung school?

If ever po na hindi ako matuloy sa AU ang backup plan ko is SG muna for 2years and then tsaka ako mag AU... I'll try my best to gather free information regarding sa case ko. and thank you po ulet sa mga suggestion ninyo.

actually even me i am not sure, tignan mo yung possible na scenario saken kung hindi man ma approved credentials ko. Naghihintay lang ako ng reponse sa HR back in PH about my COE, then uwi muna to get other docs like NBI para di nako pabalik balik. Magastos and time consuming talaga. Anyway you can try naman here in SG, pero be prepared sa magiging new environment mo, competitions mo dito iba iba. try reading pinoysg for more info.

@jmaghuyop pero okay idea mo, eh ganito din naman ginagawa ko as of now. ipon ako dito sa SG, then money burn lahat sa OZ (best investment). Dito kasi walang permanent. anytime pwedi ka bumalik sa pinas.

@jmaghuyop I also suggest to learn the basic keywords na ginagamit dito sa forum, dito kasi nagiging complikado para sa mga beginners kaya yung iba gumagamit pa ng Agents.

sample:

DIBP - department of immigration and border protection

CO - Case Officer

ACS - Australia Computer Society

SS - State sponsorship

EOI - Expression of Intent

etc. etc.

This will save you time and have better understanding sa mga pinag uusapan dito.

@redmartrichard actually that's one of the reason why I prefer to go to AU instead of SG, I've been to AU twice last year to do a Training and Certification Test lahat ng gastos sagot ng company namin sa AU. then last week nag punta ako sa SG as a tourist lang to treat my GF. and I think hindi ko kakayanin sa SG hehe. madami dami na din kasi ako nabasa sa pinoySG and the competition in SG is really tight.

I'm only saying this based on my experience, kasi yung mga boss and yung mga AU counter part namin is mababait pati yung mga nakasama ko sa training na from NZ yung iba.

@jmaghuyop same. I joined an Australian company back in PH. and yes iba talga ang environment and mababait pa mga bosses.that's why i also decided to pursue OZ. gusto ko talga sa US, pero given the facts, money, and resources, OZ lang talaga ang possible.

in the mean time siguro, I'll just earn some money na pang gastos sa requirements medyo broke ako ngayon after ng SG trip namin and review review kasi kukuha pa ako ng Certification sa Microsoft which is another gastos and hoping na pumasa syempre.

magbabasa basa din muna ako for other options, and sana makapag AU ka this year! goodluck...

@jmaghuyop yup..competition is really tight.ala pa kme 2 yrs dto pro nagbalak na kme sa AU. Anytime pde ka matanggal sa work.binabarat pa nla pag IT.mostly outsourced na sa India. Ok dto sa SG kng balak mo magipon muna for a short term..ang long term and for family is AU

@kittykitkat18 haha kayo din pala. ako mag 2 years palang sa July pero alis na alis na ako dito. Ayaw ko na rin bumalik at magtrabaho sa pinas, Canada naman sobra malamig. So ayun OZ lang talaga.
