Hello po sa lahat.. hoping everyone can enlighten me on my concern.. I am planning to have an ACS assessment next month. Yong concern ko po kasi, yong previous employer ko, they provided me the COE which is the generic one then separated the Job role/description in another page with the signatory ng previous manager ko.

Reason nila kasi daw meron silang global standard na sinusunod so hindi nila pwede baguhin yong format ng COE. dinagdag lang nila doon sa standard COE ko yong statement na Full time, tapos hours per week, permanent in the company, position, and yong duration ng employment.

Tanong ko po, will the ACS during assessment will give credit to this type of arrangement? Tinignan ko po kasi yong mga previous thread at wala akong nabasa na same situation ko.

@vylette hello po.. tanong ko lang po kasi confuse ako kung directly po bah ako magpapa assess sa Software Engineer, nakita ko po kasi na fist ACS assessment mo is Software Tester tapos nagpa assess ka ulit as Software Engineer.

Overall work experience ko po Software Tester pero yong positions sa COE ko meron Software Test Engineer, Software Validation Engineer at Software QA Executive. Pwede po hingi ng advise whether should I go with Software Engineer or Software Tester sa assessment, since wala sa visa 189 yong Software Tester. Maraming salamat..

Thank you po. Yun nga po ang sabi dun sa Eldan Law (former Andrew EE), napaka accomodating naman nung Pinay advise nga po niya to complete in one go to save the cost. Kasi kapag may nakalimutan ka just in case kahit 1 document, need pa rin talagang kumuha ng notarial certificate which cost i think $75 if im not wrong. Thank you po ulit.

Hello po, first time ko po mag post dito and I'm starting to prepare for my AU Application.

I am an IT consultant and I started working last 2012 and until now, same profession pa rin. Ang concern ko po kasi is from Apr2012-Nov2016, one company. Then Nov2016-present, different na. Kaso nagpplano kasi ako bumalik sa old company ko due to some personal reasons. May effect po kaya ito sa assessment ko if ever? Same role po lahat naman.

@chary_29 as long as may letterhead and signatory pa rin ung additional page, i think ok lang yan. kailangan lang talaga ng ACS is to get the required information and that it comes from an official source. pwede mo rin i-scan yan into 1 pdf sa pagsubmit sa kanila para aware sila na magkasama talaga yang pages.

hi @ishie20. i dont think magiging issue sa ACS yan. wala naman silang paki-alam kung tumalon ka ng company. ang titingnan lang naman nila is your education, how fit your job description is against the job code and how long ka na doing that kind of work (regardless of how many companies you've been to).

@studio719 thank you so much! Super napa-praning na kasi ako. I'm not even sure if my experience will be deemed suitable ng ACS. May idea po ba kayo if let's say, graduate ako ng Computer Science and Information Technology and I've been handling consulting roles since 2012 (fresh grad) up to today. Planned path ko kasi is System Analyst. May chance po ba na mabawasan yung five years ko if ever?

Hi @chary_29 tama ka wala nga for 189 yung software tester. Ako naman software tester ako eversince i started working pero kasi kung icheck mo yung description ng software engineer sa ACS pasok naman yung testing don. Sa totoo lang risk sya pero it's worth a try magdedepend padin kasi sa kung gano kapasok yung roles mo sa mga companies na pinagworkan mo at syempre sa course at subjects mo sa university kung ilan years madeduct sayo. Ako experience ko manual/automation testing, computer engineering graduate, section 2 yung university ko.

Hello All! Naguupload ako ng documents sa ACS, medyo confused lang ako. Yung TOR and diploma, pagsamahin ba sya into a single file? Also, sa experience, kung COE yung iupload ko, which attachment type should I use? Reference?

Ask ko lang meron ba dito ng submit online ACS Assessment on 08-Feb-17 till now hindi ko pa nareceived assessment ko. nakikita ko sa iba 1 week lang may result na. nakaka worry..

SO kung eto po ang nakalagay na after July 2015 lang ang considered appropriate skilled relevant, ibig sabihin less than 2 years lang yun. So di ako makakakuha ng points sa Qualification? Ano po ba pwede kong gawin? Need ko ba mag re-appeal? mukhang 5 years deduction yung kinuha nila eh. Appreciate your advice po.

Complete ko na po yung requirements for ACS. Kelangan ba dala ko rin yung orig copy pag pa CTC ko na?Yung iba kasi COE ko through email lang send e.

Also please check this baka po meron pa ko nakalimutan. Yan na yung gathered requirements ko po.

Guys suggestion po regarding ANZSCO, parang same lang naman mga description nito :

261311 -Analyst Programmer
261312 -Developer Programmer
261313 -Software Engineer
261399 -Software and Application Programmer

Pasok naman ako sa job description. Ano dapat consider ko pa? Meron po ba yung mas madali ma invite sa mga position jan?

Yes you are correct. Experience mo from July 2015 onward ang pede mo ma claim.

You can file your EOI on July 2017 para ma complete mo yung 2 years which is equivalent to 5 points sa skill score.

Hello, just wanna update you guys. I got the result of my ACS Review today and i got additional 5 pts for the additional work experience i submitted. Thanks to all those members here who advised me to submit a Review, after I came short of work experience after ACS deducted 6yrs from it (as a result of having associate degree)

My only question now is, when i submit my EOI in Skillselect, do i need to enter all my work experience? I have 15yrs in total, all were deemed relevant but only 9yrs were credited for skilled employment. Now, I saw this instruction there in Skillselect to only enter experience for the past 10yrs. Im quite unsure if i should enter 15yrs or 9. Hope you guys can help me. Appreciate it a lot!

@ishie20 yes, binabawasan nila talaga ung work experience na pwedeng i-claim dependent sa course at kung saang school ka galing (check http://pinoyau.info/plugin/page/accredited-schools para makita mo kung aling section category ung school mo).

im not so sure about the particulars pero ung ibang forumers natin dito, mas kabisado.

check mo kung alin dyan ung nasa SOL or CSOL. maski positive ung assessment ng ACS sa iyo pero kung wala naman dun sa list ng occupation na hinahanap ni AUS, hindi ka rin makaka-apply ng 189/190.

pag asa CSOL sila, check mo rin kung aling states ung open for state sponsorship at kung gusto mo ba dun. fyi, ang pagkakaalam ko closed ang sponsorship ng Victoria (Melbourne) until July ata.

i've also seen before na may report na nakapublish online about kung ilang points and kelan nag-apply ung mga latest na na-approve. so from there you can check ung competition mo for the slots. sorry nga lang pero inde ko na mahanap ung link ngaun.

hello @ishie20, yes. mababawasan tlga ng experience as per ACS guidelines. since section 3 school ka, may chance na 5 years mabawas sayo. so since 3-4 years pa lang exp mo, its possible for you to be unsuitable for now. I would advise you to wait until you reach your 5th year of employment.

As for why they deduct experience, based from their senior assessor, it is to meet the suitability criteria with respect to their guidelines. ICT occupation is a very competitive space nowadays kaya siguto ganun sila unlike sa ibang assessing bodies ng AU.

I suggest you read more about ACS, para pag dating mo ng 5th year mo, you know what to expect and how they assess. Read about the ICT units ng nominated occupation mo. Read about how your nominated occupation relates to your education background and employment. Read more. lahat ng ito ay nasa website nila.

@fedsquare Yes, you need to input all your work exp to your EOI. Be careful lang dun sa pag tag as Related and Not Related, i refer mo dun sa Assessment letter yung details. Goodluck on your next move.
