You’ need to check the tasks and choose which one best matches yours. You’re the only one who could decide on this. More because we don’t know exactly the tasks your are doing in your job.

    Hi guys and @RheaMARN1171933,

Newbie here, question lang po. Im about to pass my requirements para skills assessment sa ACS. Ask ko lang po sana what are the chances na positive ang outcome sa assessment ko.

    • I graduated from a section 3 school
    • BSIT course ko
    • graduated with honors (cum laude)
    • with 9 years IT experience (Software developer/engineer)

Possible po ba na bachelors degree i-assess ni ACS kahit di ako from section 1 na school?

Looking forward po sa mga replies! :)

Just to clarify, ACS only assesses the skills based on the qualification. They do not assess the actual qualification as that’s beyond their limit. They refer to the Country Education profile created by the Department of Education and Training to check the equivalence of the qualification and make decions on the skills from there.

If your institution is listed under section 3 it will not be recognised as equivalent to an Australian bachelors degree. It doesn’t mean though yours will not be successful, it will just mean 5-6 years will be deducted from your total years. Good luck.

@RheaMARN1171933 ah ok sana 2 years lang ma deduct, pero di ko malalaman pag di ko i try :)

another question po, bale 2 courses po ako nung college. yung isa is 2 years associate degree (computer technology) and yung BS course ko which is IT. Sa ACS assessment, dapat ko po ba i submit both diplomas po? Nasa transcript ko po kasi yung 2 courses.

    Thanks in advance!

Definitely you won’t get 2 years deduction. We’ve handled so many cases and it also says on the ACS guideline. The issue is your institution is listed under section 3 unfortunately.

You can declare all of them if you want but ACS will always consider the highest qualification obtained. Best of luck.

Meron na po dito nakapag claim ng Partner Skills Points? :)
To claim the Partner Skills points for "spouse or de facto partner"
kelangan ba combined documents ang pagsubimt ng documents ng mag asawa OR two separate applications sa ACS Skills Assessment?

We are planning to apply for Skilled Nominated Visa subclass 189/190 and claim the partner skills points sana. We are both working in the IT industry.

You need to apply for separate skills assessment application. Make sure both of your occupations are on the same list.

Hi @RheaMARN1171933 maraming salamat po sa reply. What do you mean po na “occupations are on the same list”?

    I am a software developer.
My wife is a business analyst.

    Do you mean...
    (1) both occupations are under the ANZSCO occupation list?
    OR
    (2) same visa subclass?

Paano po ba nakaka apekto sa points ang schools and sections?

Kung ang school ay under section 1, how it can affect claiming ng points?

Kung ang school ay under section 3, how it can affect claiming ng points?

    Salamat po :)

Hello po, i need your opinion po.

Total experience ko as Network Engineer, is 7.5 years, yung first work ko i had 1.5years of exp kaso hindi nag rerespond sa requests ko for referral letter. I even went to their office pero pinapabalik-balik lang ako, even my old manager, ayaw mag respond di rin ako inentertain nung pagpunta ko sa office nila kasi busy daw, may conference.. etc etc..

My target is 5 years naman talaga, pero worry ko baka bawasan exp ko pag dating sa ACS assessment.

Tingin nyo po ba may chance na bawasan exp ko with the ff details:

ANZSCO - 263111 Computer Network and Systems Engineer
Education: 4-years Bachelor of Science in Computer Science (SECTION 2 School)
    Exp
2010-2012 = network support 1.5 years (no referral, but with basic COE, no JD included)
    2013-2016 = network support/engineer 3 years (w/ referral letter)
    2016-2019 = network administrator 3 years (w/ referral letter)

Need your opinion guys, kasi parang gusto ko na isubmit sa ACS yung 2013-2019 at di ko na ipilit yung sa first work ko. Thank you so much!

You’ll likely get 4-6 years deduction. I’m leaning towards 6 though. Computer Science is not closely related to Networking. Submit as much work experience as you can. I was an IT graduate and my nominated occupation wasn’t closely related so they gave me 4 years deduction. 10 years worth of experience i submitted was reduced down to 6. I had to travel to another country to get my previous manager’s statutory declaration just to get 2 more years experience assessed and now I have to pay for a new assessment. All that trouble just to get 5 extra points. All worth it the way things are going with the upcoming points system changes and all. Goodluck!

Turned out for it’s for the worse. The Statutory Declaration now requires supporting evidence from the declarant regarding the working relationship with the applicant. Proof of paid employment is also needed as well as PRC license if available.

Glad I submitted mine before the change happened. Good luck to all new applicants!

Nung nagpa assess ako sa ACS ng statutory declaration ng manager ko, thru email lang naman. Send mo via email ung stat dec mo sa manager mo, print and sign niya, then email back sayo. Print mo then ipa-notary. Scan mo ulit then sama mo sa mga ipapasa mo sa ACS for assessment. Make sure lang na malinaw at clear lahat ung copies (print/scan).

Yung sa another experience, lagay mo po same company name(since sabi mo within the same company) pero ibang job title lang dun sa next entry.

Thanks po. Aware po ako dito. Yung d ako aware yung new guidelines ng acs? Yung need p supporting evidence ng stat doc? O yun n dn b yun?

Tapos pano po pag walang ITR or payslip sa previous employment?

Hi I am planning to do assessment for my partner. Unfortunately, di ma accommodate ng old manager nya ung statutory declaration and new requirements na proof of relationship(declarant COE)
Is it possible na magsubmit kami ng plain coe without job description and magka outcome sya ng positive?Thank you!

@yeppuda will you be claiming points para sa work experience na iyon na di mameet ang requirement? if yes, then baka maka affect ito sa outcome. It is hard to actually say kasi we don’t have all your details, pero as straightforward as it is, inilagay yung requirements dyan for a purpose... maaring may work around for them to accept it but maybe not as simple as the usual na plain COE without the details (gets mo naman marahil ang point ko) :)
Try and try lang and better yet, ask directly ACS kung anong pede nyo pang magawa to fulfill yang requirement na iyan given the situation. The original requirement is difficult as it is na, then nadagdagan pa ng proof of relationship :( kaya sana kahit paano sana may work around hindi yung all or nothing.
