457 Primary applicant, but wife has no passport yet

Hello po,

not sure kung may ganito rin po ang situation dito, need some advice.

my 457 visa (sponsored) is 'to be processed' and pending na lang po na maibigay ko yung requirements ko sa agency na magpoprocess. covered po sa sponsorship yung wife and kids ko and pinapa-fillup nila ako ng form 956.

my kids already have their passports, pero wala pa po ung kay wife, naka-hold po kasi ang passport application nya pending clearance from DOST (govt scholar po kasi, and 2001 pa po graduate). medyo mahirap lang po sa part nya kasi she's taking care of our kids full-time and nasa province while yung clearance is sa Taguig (main office) pa. di ko naman matulungan kasi ofw din po ako. anyway, pinilit pa rin po ni wife na maidaos yung pagprocess, bale antay antay lang talaga ng processing/feedback from DOST. mejo naghahabol nga lang kami sa time kasi kailangan ko na rin magsubmit ng requirements sa agency.

ang question ko po, may chance ba na magka-visa si wife kahit wala pa syang passport? (eg. since ako naman ung primary applicant) kung meron po, paano? if not, salamat in advance pa rin po sa inputs.

    Its a no passport no entry , you might need to talk to case officer for your situation from what i know you can submit a photocopied passport that was authenticat3d

    unfortunately, passport is one requirement for your wife to be granted visa. i dont think this can be waived as the visa number is linked to the passport number.

    You might as well wait for your wife's passport to come out and lodge her secondary application when it does.

    thank God we have finally secured my wife's passport and wala na po sigurong magiging hadlang sa requirements. fortunately naging willing naman yung employer ko sa AU to wait until makuha namin ung passport. buti na lang talaga.
