Hello po uli, creating a new thread po, this is for previous sg peeps na anjan na po sa SA.. hope magshare po kau ng mga bloopers, trials, problems encountered nyo po and how did u overcome it. Pra po sa aming mga bagong aalis, makakuha kmi ng tips at maiwasan na po ang mga ito.. salamat ng marami...

Hi. Galing din ako sa SG. Spent 6 years in the tiny island. 1st problem encountered is of course the weather kasi winter (around june) nung pumunta kame dito pero handa na kasi nagshopping muna sa sg ng mga panlamig. 2nd problem is lack of IT jobs compared with melby and sydney. Dito kelangan jack of all trades, marunong ka dapat sa network, systems (email, virtualization, etc) which is not the usual practice dyan sa sg ... more on specialization sa sg. 3rd problem is the high tax rate, in short maliit ang take-home pay mo compared sa sg. Sa una medyo nakakabigla pero masasanay ka rin kasi in truth wala ka namang magagawa eh ikaw yung nagpumilit pumunta dito so you need to adjust your spending habits. So far happy naman kame sa adelaide ... mababait mga tao (all ethnic background), wala halos trapik, and most of all feel mo ang lawak ng lugar unlike sa sg after many years parang sinasakal ka na ... it takes guts and lots of faith to move from an almost comfortable place to a new and exciting one.

Hi @vhoythoy and EddieV! Pa OT po pero ask ko lang if ok na un sg PCC or need pa ng pinas NBI? Medyo naha-hassle-an ako sa NBI process at kailangan pa sadyain sa embassy. Sa medical po ba, pwede na pa medical agad kahit wla pa letter requesting for the medical? Ska ano po ang provision ng visa: hanggang kailan pwede mag initial entry from visa issuance? TIA! HNY!

Kailngan mo pa rin kumuha ng nbi sa pinas at sa lahat ng bansang nag stay ka ng atleast 1 year. Yes pwede mag medical kahit wala request pwede mo kasi madownload form sa immi account mo after mo mag lodge, ganun ginawa ko kaya direct grant ako. Ung initial entry requirement nasa visa grant letter mo kung kailan.
