@whin12 although mas madali yung format sa ielts pero mas madali mkakuha ng band score 65 (equivalent to 7 sa ielts) each component sa PTE-A. Since you're aiming for 263212 - ICT Support Engineer your work reference should be at least 65% related to the following tasks:

@moonpatrick hi sir. software engineer una ko pinaassess kaso di po ako nakapasa sa criteria. suggestion po ay mas match daw sya sa ICT Support Engineer. so from 189 na subclass. mag change po ba to 190 na dapat? in case mag push ako sa ICT Support Engineer? need daw mag pay ng 200AUD if ok daw ung suggestion nila na code. tapos mga around 300plus aud naman kapag may iba akong gusto ipa review na code to match ung skills ko. mas ok po ba to follow na lang ung suggestion ng ACS? para sure na may approval after? then ano po ang downside ng 190 na subclass. thanks po

Hi @MayoMay , yes ICT Support Engr is in CSOL and is only entitled for visa 190/489. Ang downside about ICT Support Engr is bihira lang sya open sa mga states. Usually South Australia lage ang ngbubukas for ICT Support Engr every SNOL refresh in July. Last year it took less than a week lang daw ngclose na agad, this year naman few hours lang closed na, madami din kasi ng aabang. Kung eppursue mo sya you have to wait next year's refresh or choose NSW sa EOI mo, my nabasa ako sa expatforum na nainvite naman.
You can also try another job code na closely related sa job description mo like Systems Administrator since open pa sya sa South Australia.

@moonpatrick sobrang dilema ko talaga yan ngayon. nafrustrate ako. kasi kung alin pa ung match un pa ung hindi open sa ngayon. paano po ung suggestion nyo na NSW? in case i accept ko ung suggestion ni ACS na mag ICT Support Engr na lang. whaaaaaaaaaa.. magbayad pa ng 200aud para dun. sugal ulit.

or pwede ko accept na lang din un. downside lang naka lock ung visa sa state lang noh po for a certain period. di ka pwede lumipat ng state. ang tanong maganda po kaya ang IT opportunity sa Adelaide. ok po kaya environment or malayo sa kabihasnan...

if ever inaccept ko, tapos pumasa din ako sa points, tama po ba 65? or 70 ang need.

tapos if ok na, tapos mas ok ung makuha points and makalusot sa 189 ang partner ko. mas ok na sya na lang mag apply as main applicant at ako dependent? para if maaprove sya, automatic 189 na din ako? same visa? regardless ng naipasa ko na asessment

@MayoMay meron NSW Stream 2 kasi sila na program whereby pinipili nila yung matataas ang points. Sa SA 70pts ang minimum sa lahat ng ICT occupations for now.
At least my option ka na ang partner mu pwede for 189 tapos sya nalang main applicant and that you only need to have a suitable skills assessment. I think that's the best plan B sa inyo.

@squaleon sir tama po ba ICT Support Engr kayo with partner? kung magkaiba po ba kami ng partner ko ng visa subclass in case lang makapasa sya sa 189. at ako mag ok na sa 190, kahit not sure kelan ako pwede mag lodge. magkakaron din kami ng partner points? regardless kung ano visa class kami makapasa? so either ako mag main application (190) or sya ang main applicant (189). ma aadapt namin ung same visa kahit alin dun sa kung sino ang main applicant.

@MayoMay ang alam ko pwede as long na yung occupational listing nyo eh nasa parehong category. Like kasi samin, ako ang primary at nasa CSOL ako then yung wife ko na Soft. Engr ay nasa both SOL at CSOL. Nakakuha ako ng partner points sa kanya dahil both kami nasa CSOL. Pwede iconfirm ito ng mga moderators.

@squaleon cge po. gsto ko kasi makta options ko kung ok na ako sa sinaggest ng ACS na mag ICT Support Engineer na lang kasi di ako nakapasa sa criteria ng Software Engineer na pang sub class 189. if mag go ako sa ICT Support Engr tapos mapush namin na si partner sa Sofware Engineer (visa 189) makapasok, mas ok if makakuha kami ng points. tapos sya na lang mag main applicant para visa 189 ang magiging for both of us? same pala ng sa wife nyo ung tinatarget namin sa partner ko. bakit pala nag stick kayo sa 190?

@MayoMay Ako kasi yung naging primary applicant kasi base sa assessment namin mas mataas ang makukuha ko kaysa kay wifey. Kaya kami nag stick sa 190. Hindi ako pwede sa 189 kasi walang ICT Support Engr. sa SOL.

Per the DIAC, these are the requirements:
You must provide evidence that your partner meets the requirements. This evidence must be:
1. documents that prove your partner is 50 years of age or younger
2. documents that prove your partner has at least competent English
3. a positive skills assessment from the relevant assessing authority for your partner’s nominated occupation (your partner’s nominated occupation must be on the same SOL or CSOL as your nominated occupation)

bali both kami nagpa assess sa ACS and both kami nag take ng IELTS and she did pass the score 6 requirement. nasa CSOL din ang Software Engr. nya same ng ICT Support Engr ko.

@squaleon pero pwede kaya un na si partner na lang ang main? tapos dependent na lang ako. para di sya mastranded kakaintay na may mag open sa state sponsorship. kasi baka mangyari malalate kami ng punta kung 190 visa na tlga. malalate kasi wala pa mag sponsor sa akin if ever. unlike siguro sya mag main applicant sya. di na naman need mag intay na may mag sponsor kasi naka independent visa sya. tapos ako na lang makiride sa visa nya as dependent ako, pwede na din ako sumama if mauna sya umalis. tama po ba whaaaaaaaaaaaaa. nalito na ako

@MayoMay kung magiging ok naman ang score ni husband mo for 189 I think pwede naman. Though hindi ko masyado kabisado 189 kung same ba cya sa 190 minus state sponsorship.

@MayoMay @squaleon if pwede si partner na lang mag apply as main tapos ikaw yung dependent. Yung advantage nito mas mura yung sabay kayu kesa separate yung application.

Visa 190 - you can claim 5pts partner skills then another 5pts from state nomination
- you are required to live at the sponsoring state for the first 2years
-you will have the same visa as partner as soon as visa is granted

Visa 189 - same permanent visa as 190 minus the obligation of living 2years in the sponsoring state
-you will have the same visa as partner as soon as visa is granted
-ang alam ko pwede din tu sa partner skills kasi nsa CSOL naman both yung NOC nio...I'm not sure...

@MayoMay : curious lang aq bakit daw di naconsider un assessment mo for Software Engineer? Ni-align mo lang ba sa software engineer un duties and responsibilities mo sa current work mo as ICT support engr?

Mejo same case ata kasi tayo, Software engineer un position ko, pero un work ko ay sa ticketing or ICT support, kaya halos ICT support papasok..Naisip ko na din nga na i-align ung duties and responsibilities sa current work ko dun sa SOFTWARE ENGR pra andun sa SOL, at pra mas less hustle unlike sa ICT SUPPORT. Kasi pag sa ICT support ay need pa na may mag open na state to sponsor which is halos once in a blue moon lang un chance..

However, medyo ngdadalawang isip nga po ako if ICT support ba talaga ipapaassess ko or Software engineer, kasi from what i've mentioned sa previous comment ko, I am currently working as a software engineer by title, though most of the tasks i am doing ay pang ICT support. Naisip ko na nga na i-align nlng un work ko sa software engineer, like gagawa na lang ako ng work reference tailored na pang Software engineer tasks definition then ipapapirma ko sa boss ko. My purpose ay dahil nsa SOL si software engineer at di mahirap ang chance ng assessment unlike sa ICT support na onti lang ngoopen na state to sponsor..

@prisca hmmm if pwede mu naman e align and pipirma naman yung boss mo why not, SE nga kasi nasa SOL. Yung sa case ko kasi si HR ng provide nung COE ko with duties so hindi ako mkapg bigay ng sure answer.
Actually possible pa din naman mg sponsor si NSW for ict support pero dpat nasa 70pts or higher

@prisca senior software engineer ang "job role" ko before. though if nimatch sa soft engr na job desc hindi nagmatch kasi wala akong experience sa coding, design din ata mga ganun. hindi ko naman sya pinalitan kasi baka mabuking pa na binago ko tlaga ang experience ko. nagbaka sakali lang ako kasi baka maconsider nila ung role ko. pero ayun hahaha mhirap na di match kasi magbabayad ka pa ulit if sa huli accept mo ung sinaggest ng ACS which is ICT Support Engr. mag go na lang ako. another 200AUD. ok na din kesa wala tlga pag asa na makapasa sa assessment. asumption ko since nag recommend sila eh di more or less positive na final result non. hopeful na lang na makapasa si partner sa 189 software engr.

@quenb salamat po sa detailed na pros/cons. cge di na ako mag main applicant. para di naman kami forever mag intay na may state na mag open.sana maging ok ung sa de facto ko. :-)

Hi guys, ACS recommended this occupation instead of my initially applied Systems Analyst. Kaso hndi sya included sa priority list ng NSW so sa stream 2 or very highly ranking candidates lng possible maka kuha ng SS from NSW.

Anyone know how much points is needed to be considered as highly ranking? And meron na ba dto nag apply for the same occupation? Thanks!

Ang skills ko is more on Apps Packaging and Deployment. Part of that nag Desktop Support din ako. More on SCCM/Installshied tools ang gamit ko.

At first tingin ko 262113 - Systems Administrator pero when I googled about Application Packager lumabas yun 313199 - ICT Support Technicians nec which is closest siya sa JD and R&R ko. Pero I'm also considering 263212 - ICT Support Engineer kasi nakapag deskop support naman ako.

For you guys anong mas okay na iconsider ko? As per thread limited ang opening for ICT Support Engineer and ICT Support Technicians nec (lalo na siguro ito wala akong thread na makita).

Medyo crossout na sa akin ang 262113 - Systems Administrator dahil mukang mga Wintel/Network role ito.
