VISAS SIMPLY - PLS SHARE IF YOU HAVE EXPERIENCES W/ THIS MIGRATION AGENT

edited July 2015 in Migration Agent
I am a Civil Engineer in the Philippines and is actively searching for job opportunities in Australia. I submitted through online my cvs and resume to some migration agents and employment agencies.
VISAS SIMPLY is amongst who responded immediately. They sent me job options that I would be applying for since I seek for civil engineering related job in AU.

I inquired for how much my expenses would be for the processing.
Breakdown as follows:

Visa Processing Fee - 150,000 (Australian Permanent Residency Visa)
Initial Payment - 40,000
Balance - 110,000 (payable for 6 months)

Skill Assessment - 27,000 (must be paid 2 months after start of visa application)
IELTS Exam - 8,986
Medical - 5,000

TOTAL - 190,986

Are their costs reasonable compared to other agencies / migration agents?

I researched for reviews / blogs regarding VISAS SIMPLY but majority of those are negative. There are some success stories but I am not assured if they are true at all.

If you have any experiences with this please share.

Thanks in advance!

Here is what I have from my agency based in Singapore, I heard they are the cheapest:

    Agency Total = Php160K
    DIBP + ANZSCO Assessment + IELTS + Medical + Police etc = 190K

Total Processing (all-in) kapag may agency sa case ko = Php350K (primary applicant only - 1 adult).

I suggest to DIY, yakang yaka kapag masipag kang magbasa dito sa forum at sa guidelines ng DIBP (plus Google skills). So kung DIY, you can save that Php160K, pang start-up sa Oz.

Visit their sites if you want to know more: http://pinoyau.info/plugin/page/migration-agents ; for everything else there's Google.

    IELTS+REMARK - 2MOS | ANZSCO - 3MOS | NT 489 INVITE - 1MO | SA 190 INVITE - 1.5MOS | VISA GRANT - 1.5MOS (15-OCT 2014)

@rareking Thank you very much for the info. I am actually not good at processing documents on my own though I already read lots of step by step process shared by others regarding visa application. Right now I'm actively searching for Philippine-based employment agency who can assist me with this matter. Though I know that finding a legit and trustworthy agency is quite hard..

Do you have any idea of Philippine-based agency who has job offers for Filipino engineers to Australia?

@lolacarlota why not apply directly to Australian employers/agencies offering sponsorship/employer-sponsored visas (457 Visa)? i think migration agents could only assist with processing your visa, and not in finding you a job or an employer.

@lolacarlota kahit mag-agency ka e ikaw pa rin ang ggawa ng lahat, like CDR, IELTS, collation of documents (COE,Proof of employments, etc)

Most Australian companies e ihihire ka lang pag PR ka na, malaking advantage un pag PR ka na...as ive heard kase e wala na daw 457 visa...or papalitan na daw yata..

since nakapag-downpayment ka na sa agency mo, no backing out ka na...kaya ituloy mo na yan.. :-)

once na approve na ung PR Visa mo, then apply-apply ka na bago ka pa magpunta dito...

    @lolacarlota try job-hunting sites like SEEK.com.au, LinkedIn

    info for Skilled Independent Visa
    http://www.immi.gov.au/visas/pages/189.aspx
-->if you're planning to go for PR, do the Points test on the site to check if you're eligible. minimum of 60 points ang required

Temporary Work (Skilled) visa (subclass 457):
    http://www.immi.gov.au/visas/pages/457.aspx

Before deciding on getting the services of a migration agent, i suggest na basahin mo muna yung information on visas from the Immigration site of AU (links given above). andun na lahat ng steps, requirements,etc..

    good luck! :)

@lolacarlota why don't you check out the POEA website and see any job orders for your profession. If a migration agent advises you that they can find you a job make sure they are POEA registered and the job offers are real. Not too many job offers for overseas civil engineers but it is on the Skilled Occupation List and you can apply for migration even without a sponsor (if you pass the categories to get 60 points).
