APPLYING AS A NURSE IN AUSTRALIA

hi ms. @Cassey. I've already applied online sa Southern Cross University. Then they replied with a lot of documents to fill up. I am unsure of the Police Check na pwede nila tanggapin. Should I go for AFP Police Check or Australian Police Check? This is the link for info between the two (https://www.mercury.com.au/choose-your-fit2work-check/)

I'm thinking of going for AFP Police Check because it can be used for visa purposes also. But I have doubts if this is the the Police Check that the SCU is pertaining to. I need your expert opinion po. Thanks!

@syaoran Hi, I’m not too familiar with SCU. If you think AFP check would still be valid by the time that you will apply for PR then you can prolly use it (since you’ll be using it for your PR application later) I was calling SCU’s number but I cannot seem to connect to their line. Maybe email them and see if they prefer one over the other.

I'm 3+ yrs med - surg ward nurse. What's the possibility of me getting sponsorship? Di po ako picky when it comes to work. Intake ko po this january sa deakin. Salamat po sa sasagot. Hehe..

@moogz02 Kung may 3yrs experience ka, may chance though mas marami talagang nabibigyan ng sponsorship yung may experience sa mga specialty areas like OR, ER, CVU, etc.

Nakareceive ako ng email from my RO last November 29 asking for an extension.
I agreed with the said extension..

Hanggang ngayon wala pa din LOE ko.

Sa mga nakareceive ng extension, gaano katagal bago niyo nareceive LOEs ninyo?

@Cassey Ok po. Ask ko na din po kung gano po katagal ang processing ngayon ng PR? Then kelan po ako pwede mag process after po ba ng bridging? Plan b ko po kasi yun if ever mahirapan ako maghanap ng sponsor, mas madali daw kasi makahanp ng work pag pr ka na. Salamat po.

Be sure to upload all the necessary documents plus have your medical test prior to lodging kasi ang isang cause ng delay ay kapag kulang yung sinubmit na documents. Usually ang tagal bago balikan (like more than 3months or it could be longer) ng CO yung application kapag nakontak dahil may kulang.

Makakapagprocess ka after your bridging, some schools matagal yung paghahand in nila ng Cert sa AHPRA so isang reason din yun kaya tumatagal. You need to register with AHPRA, have an ANMAC Assessment skills then apply for EOI thru Skill Select. Wait to be invited then lodge for PR once you get your invitation.

Mas madali nga makapaghanap ng work kapag PR na pero marami naman din akong nakikita na nakakakuha ng work kahit di pa PR. Ang complication lang siguro is yung Duration ng stay mo rito especially kapag BP.

hello po. nag take ako ng bachelors degree sa Melbourne po at graduate nko next yr ask ko lng po ano mga requirements sa ahpra po na kailangan ipasa para sa registration pra maasikaso kona po ngaun. thanks po

@reena_june24 Hi, sorry I’m not too familiar with that pathway. Maybe try to email AHPRA and see what they have to tell you. Is there a reason why you’re opting for that pathway instead of Conversion or Bridging?

@lenita It would depend on your experience overseas I would say. Usually ng mga nabibigyan may 3+ yrs na hospital experience at sa specialty area. Yung kakilala ko inabsorb siya ng hospital after his placement, so sa part pa lang na yun may chance na. May mga agencies rin where you can hand in your resume and sila yung mgahahanap ng work for you. Browse through Job Websites like indeed, hospital websites, etc and apply. You can call HR of hospitals as well to see if they’re sponsoring. You have to inform your referees as well that a potential employer will call them. Your CV is important too. Lastly, present yourself well during interviews and practice conversational English.

Hi po, ask ko lang po, tapos na po kasi ako mag bridging, waiting for registration po ako ngayon.. balak ko po kasi mag lodge agad sa anmac after lumabas yung registration, ask ko lang po kung 15 points po ba tlga sa DIBP ang Bachelor's degree natin regardless san ka graduate?

Hello guys, ask ko lang, kasi nagpapaassist ako sa isang agent na affiliated sa school, according to her no fees naman at free, baka kasi once masubmit nya na sa school mag add sila ng additional as assistance fee? Or school ba usually ang nagbabayad sakanila? Thank you

@lenita If you're looking for sponsorhip, its best to check regional areas. Kasi they can easily reason out with the govt na walang gustong pumunta sa kanila. Unlike sa major cities, since andun lahat ng tao, the chances of getting sponsored are slim and quite competitive.

@lenita Oo naman okay lang ang 190. At the moment parang mas mabilis ang 190. Oo yung hubby ko nagwowork na as a Nurse. Nung time namin ng pagaapply for PR that was 2016, mas mabilis ang invite sa nurses. Ngayon parang matagal tagal. Just make sure na maupload mo lahat ng documents para direct grant. Try lang ng try, hanggang sa makakuha ka ng work. Nagtry ka ba sa Ramsay Health? Anong visa ba hawak mo ngayon? Baka isa rin yun sa factor,

@lenita Ahhh, your visa might have been the factor why they’re not hiring you especially kapag hindi sila talaga nagpoprovide ng work sponsorship. Bawal kasing magwork kapag nakaTV. Yung invitation is depende sa points mo. Kapag 70-75 points mabilis lang ang invite. I’m not sure how accurate the tracker is from another website but if i’ll base it there around 6mos for 60-65 points, pero may mga nakita rin naman ako na around a month eh nakakuha na sila na invitation. Apply ka na ng EOI mo kapag ready na papers mo para lumalakad na yung application mo.
