NBI / Police clearance required?

Hello po, we are in the process of applying for my husband's visa. It is being done by his (potential) employer's agent/law firm and hindi sila masyadong detailed sa info-- they just sent an email about the possible documents that they would be asking from us.

We are not in Pinas kaya we are trying to anticipate and prepare the documents in advance, considering the time constraint involved in acquiring them.

Based on the experience po of pinoyau's members, hihingan po ba talaga kami ng NBI clearance eventually? Kasi po kung sure na step ito ng processing of the visa, gagawin na namin before pa the agent asks.

@rain yes hihingan kayo ng NBI Clearance, standard requirement yun for Character Clearances..

If you are applying for temporary or permanent migration

For the Australian Government to determine whether you are of good character, you might be asked to provide police certificates for each country you have lived in for 12 months or more, over the last 10 years, since turning 16 years of age.

Note, "each country" yan... so if you are currently living overseas and have stayed in any country for more than 12 months.. you need to get Police Clearances on those countries as well...

thanks for the reply @wizardofOz ! i'm in sg nga pala.
i was having second thoughts kasi when i see other members' timelines, some just refer to getting their police clearance in Sg, and walang mention of getting their NBI from pinas.

tapos there was even one post (i forgot na where i saw it) na hindi naman daw sya in-ask to submit a police clearance (from Sg) kaya medyo nalilito rin ako

hopefully may iba ding magshare ng experience regarding this. salamat uli!

if nasa SG na po for almost 5 years tapos galing din ng middle east but no chance of getting Police clearance na sa middle east kasi wala ng connections to process it for you? pero kaya kumuha ng clearance sa SG at Pinas. magiging incomplete pa din ba documents?

meron na po bang ganito ang experience? salamat po sa insights... >-

Hello just to update po, we were not required to submit an nbi or (police clearance from Sg). Just in case po some applicants are wondering about this, ang best advice ko lang based on our experience is to wait for your agent to request the documents since not all cases are the same.

Is it okay to get NBI clearance in advance before lodging? I'm planning to go back to PH, so isasabay ko na sana.

@redmartrichard kung di naman problema sa iyo ang mas maagang IED ay ok lang na kumuha na ng nbi clearance para bawas abala na.

@engineer20 balak ko kasi kumuha ng maaga NBI sa pinas since uuwi ako this feb, then pag ka lodge ko nalang dun ako kukuha ng Singapore police clearance. so ano date ang susundin nila? NBI date or SG COC?

@redmartrichard susundin nila whichever is earlier sa mga PCC or medical mo. sa Feb din kami kukuha ng nbi sa pinas sabay na sa paguwi. pero sa case naman namin kasi ay gusto namin na late January ang IED kaya delayed ang lodging pati pagkuha ng SG COC at medical.
