    1. TA means Thank you.
    2. Ketchup in KFC costs $.50
    3. TV commercials are crap, I think we have better commercials in the Philippines.
    4. Hockey is also one of their favorite games.

One of our sales managers is a coach in a hockey team. I forgot kung anu yung inooffer nya sakin part time job pag weekend.

My in-laws refer to ketchup as tomato (as in to-mah-to) sauce. Also, "barbie" for barbecue; "pressie" for presents.

British influence talaga. Better get used to the slang.

Which got me thinking: Kung ang ketchup ay tomahtoe sauce, ano ang tawag nila sa tomato sauce na panghalo sa ulam (if it ever exists there)?

    Also, brekky, chokkie, bikkie, veggie.

Most drivers here can't do reverse parking. They told me how good & fast I was doing reverse parking in one of our company cars.

I think magaling ang mga pinoy sa driving nahasa tayo sa bumper to bumper at gitgitan traffic! hehe

    38. if someone invite you to have breakfast, lunch, snack or dinner in restaurant it doesn't mean that the person who invite you will pay the bills.

@lock_code2004, talagang may suggestion? Hehe! Pero meron pa ba silang service charge? If wala naman, I think ok lang yun magbigay ng tip especially if ok naman ang service. Kakaiba nga lang kasi required ang tip dyan sa US and take note above 10% of the total bill, unlike dito sa Pinas optional ang tipping. Most of the restos naman kasi din dito may 10% service charge na.

this is nice to know.. dito sa US nakalagay pa sa receipt ang suggested gratuity (tip).. nagulat ako nung first time ko... nakalagay sa receipt; 10% tip- xxx usd (thank you)...15%tip - XXX usd ( this is great).. parang ganun..

@jclem - in that case, walang service charge yung resto.. tapos nakahighlight talga ung tip.. binilugan ng ballpen nung waitress.. haha...

wala namang issue sa pag tip as long as service is good.. kaya nga tip/gratuity diba..

anyway, let see pagdating natin sa AU.. hehe..
