Hello po. Newbie pa lang po ako dito. Ask ko lang po, if how much po ang show money upon arrival sa Perth? I heard you should able to support your finances for atleast 3 mos, but wala kasi ako idea how much is the cost of living like per day or month sa perth. Hope someone could enlighten me.

kung yun ang tanong mo, walang show money na kailangan.. hindi nmn sila magtatanong kung may pera kayo or wala...

i think okay naman.. depende din sa industry.. at area of expertise..
marami din nmn job ads sa seek.com.au..
oil&gas/mining ang maraming work dito...

4 wks pa lang ako dito.. and so far may mga inteviews naman..
wala pa rin akong work.. kasi choosy ako.. heheh..

yes im in perth.. sa sydney ako nag initial entry nandun kasi mga relatives..
mas vibrant, mas maraming tao, mas magulo sa sydney..
dito ako pumunta, i think mas maraming opportunities dito for me (oil&gas industry)..
pero kung may work sa sydney, why not..

pero okay naman dito,maayos din naman transpo (train and bus),
if you want na mas tahimik na buhay.. pang family..

We are planning to take the train from Perth to Bunbury pag punta namin dyan sa November. Mag initial entry muna po kami then plan the big move for next year

To all perthians, advice ko lang sa mga job hunters, your CV should reflect what you done, what you know and what are you willing to do. Do not add things that you have no idea or not even familiar with. Sa interview, be prepared, talk about ur strenght as a employee, when the employer ask you something u dont know, be brave to answer that u have not experience it before and that you are willing to go extra mile to learn about that. Be true and stop pretending, the employer will understand that in fact, he or she may find it impressive. Well, its based on my own experience (just 3 weeks ago). I got a lot of exp. in my field (oil and gas for 15 years) but the position I applied for is actually only 50% related to my field.. But guess what, I got hired last week. They even sponsored my 1 month accomodation & 1 month car rental enabling myself to get a place to permanently stay with. So ang advice ko, do not copy someone CV, it may be applicable to him but not to you. Pray and everything will put into its right place. God Bless job hunters in Perth.

@meehmooh We we're scheduled to make our first entry to Australia on Dec, 2013. I applied thru SEEK for about 5 months yata (I am still in SG now). Now, i got a call from this HR asking telling me if im willing to be interviewed in Perth. Sabi ko yes (gagastusan ko na no at the same time makaka first entry pa ko he he). Then 2 days later, HR called me and asking if im avail for interview the following day kasi yung Ops manager nila will be in SG for meeting for 2 days. So i made myself available syempre. Then I was interviewed here in SG, for i think an hr. Fortunately, the interviewer is the second highest in their company so that interviewed was the first as well as the final. I told him what I knew, what I experience, what I can do and what I am willing to do...then afterwards, constant ang communication with the HR manager, she asked a lot of things but not technical in nature. After 2 weeks, I believed that by God's grace that I am already hired and that I am waiting only for instruction to go for medical. But God is always giving us more than what we're asking for...2 days later she called me and they proposed that I have to do my medical in Perth..she asked me whether I am willing to fly to Perth for medical..but then, who can refuse that proposal? 5 days in Perth, free plane tickets & hotel just for half day medical exam??? To make story short, I spent weekends in Perth city and its surrounding, then on Monday, I took medical exams and got cleared. That afternoon, I went to their office (perth CBD) and discuss the contract and finally signed it (the offer is good even the super annuation is 14%). I requested for 2 weeks free accomodation para makakuha me ng permanent place, they're not only give me 2 weeks, but 4 weeks & even a month car rental free, plus 3 days stay in hotel during my arrival. God is really good. Do I deserve this? No, but thru His Grace I got it. I am sharing this exp not to boast on how good I am but How good God is. A lot of candidates are more qualified than us but if you rely on His Grace, you will be surprise on the favor that will be on you. Pray for favor whenever you send your CV to potential employer, and pray for wisdom whenever you're attending interview and you will be amazed on what God will put into ur mouth to utter. @engrjamescastro As I read again what I had written, I noticed that I was not actually just sharing my experience but sharing the Good News (Gospel). Do remember that God leads you to Australia for you to multiply, prosper and be blessed. Just like what He did to Israelites, He lead them to a land flowing (continously supplying) with milk and honey.
