    Here is my timeline with fees incurred :) 2012
    April 21- IELTS Passed (British Council Sg S$310)/ April-March -requirements for VETASSES, CTC 4 copies,DHL etc. (S$600)/March 19- Apply VETASSES online ($1150 aud)/June 06, 2012 - VETASSES (Architectural Draftsman) feedback positive /August 08- Apply EOI visa 190 at 70 points/September 11- Resubmit EOI (Was asked to change EOI form)/November 22- Apply for SS in WA (arch draftsman still available)/November 22- Resubmit EOI (changed the State from Victoria to WA)/December 05- Initial Contact by DIAC saying WA is interested./December 07- WA SS approved December 10- DIAC Invitation received (1 week down ecomm) December 14- Lodged Visa $3050aud (plus technical issues of ecom visa was "lodged" December 21 daw)/ Dec 28 - Medicals (frontload)/January 8 -CO Assigned/January 23-PCC/ JANUARY 23---VISA GRANT!!!!!!!!!!

    Hello my husband and I just obtained PR approval last January 2013. He moved sa Perth last april and is currently staying at his brother's house. We intend to follow him there with the kids, while naghahanap sya ng work sa AU, dito naman ako sa Sg work with the kids.. My husband is a mech engineer by profession. According to him nahihirapan siya makakuha ng work. medyo challenging maghanap ng trabaho at halos walang response sa mga pinapasahan niya.. may mga tips po ba kayo pwede mai share regarding sa paghahanap ng work. Halos lahat na din ng jobsites pinapasahan niya.

    hello po, bago pa ako dito sa forum..taga SG din kame..got our PR approval last Jan..nasa Perth na po husband ko since April pa..medyo nahihirapan po maghanap ng work :(.. Mech engineer po husband ko.. baka naman po may alam kayo work na pede niya applyan...halos lahat na din po ng mga jobsites pinapasahan niya, walang response halos :( ... dito pa kami sa Sg ng mga kids namin...susnod na lang pag may work na siya dun..salamat po!

    Its also perfect for family since its within the intake of Wattle Grove primary school. Maganda yung rating ng school na ito so perfect for migrant with kids too.

    Just got our PR190 Visa approved yesterday! God is good :) Now my next strep is for me to look for work whilst here in the Philippines. Would like to ask how is the job market so far in Perth? I've read in the forum trail that it is difficult to find work now.

    Hi Allysond. I got state nomination coz of my profession as HR advisor. Ang goal namin talaga ng wife ko Sabay kami next year but if I find employment opportunity while I'm still here in th Philippines, I'm ready to pack up and go. :) I wish you all the best!

    @chill - ganda pala ng profession mo, I'm an Accountant while my husband is an electrical engineer pero yung work nya dun electrical technician palang, pero he has plan n ipaacredit license nya next year, 457 pa lang ang visa nya sa ngaun. medyo mahirap daw tlga work ngaun sa australia, even sila affected, nawala yung 2 hours a day n overtime plus pasok nila ng saturday,. pati value ng australian dollar bagsak, 2 months ago mas malaki ng 2-3pesos s USD ang value pero ngaun sila na ang mas mababa,..haay hopefully maging ok n din in the coming days.

Kaya habang nandito pa ako, apply lang ng apply nagbabakasakali may mag-consider. :)

    @sinli_au...ano bang experience mo sa semicon? hindi ko na matandaan ang sinagot ko dyan sa questionnnaire pero try mo ng ibang work-around yung answer mo? like semicon means may work experience ka sa manufacturing or instrumentation..then go from there.. i-research mo na lang mga possible manufacturing companies.. etc...

    hi forumers! just wanted to share my experience here in Perth...
    1 week after I landed here, naghanap muna ako ng casual job, which was a go-kart race official. Dami ko rin inapalayan na casual jobs pero I guess dun papasok yung local experience, need kasi nila ng local reference sa mga previous jobs mo. I noticed na hndi nila need ng Certificate of employment dito, kundi local references ng previous employers (phone numbers/email). Buti na lang natsambahan ko yung work na yun kung saan wala naman hiningi na experience or references, need lang talaga na pakita na determined & interested ka sa work na ina-aplyan mo. Pampalipas-oras lang talaga (and pandagdag budget na din ung casual work na yun, since 3-4 days a week lang and 5 hrs per day. Nakakaburo kasi talaga pag sa house ka lang maglalagi, lalo't puro rejections matatanggap mo sa email pag nag-aapply ka. By the way, I noticed na basic requirement nga pala ng (almost all) jobs dito is meron kang Driver's License & own vehicle. Sakto nung nag-aapply ako sa casual job na yun kumuha na ko ng 2nd hand car (below 2K ang price, hehe) and na-convert ko na yung license ko. I cant stress enough yung importance ng 2 items na to. I suggest na maglaan kayo ng budget para dito.

    Shortly after that, I found a full-time job. Around 1 month ng pamamalagi ko dito sa Perth. Again, wala naman hiningi na local experience,but this time nanghingi sila ng references. So binigay ko yung mga names and contact # ng mga former bosses ko. It was indeed an answered prayer. No kidding, I do say my prayers before ko simulan yung pagsi-send ko ng resumes and before ako matulog sa gabi.

    I remember when I was bored one time, umupo ako sa may fountain dun sa may tapat ng Perth train stn, I met 2 pinoys. One was a 457 visa Mining mechanic from QLD na natanggal sa work and nagki-kwento na kagagaling lang nya sa immig office to ask about bridging visa (nag interstate sya hoping to land a mining job dito sa WA), and yung isang pinoy was an elderly woman who's been here 25 yrs, cleaner sya sa sikat na hotel sa Perth. Tinanong ko pa nga sya kung pwede nya ko ipasok as cleaner sa work nya. hehe... Nag-advise pa nga sya na pumunta daw ako sa nearby cathedral kasi dun daw nasasagot mga dasal nya, which proved to have the same effect on me. Since bago lang ako, eager ako marinig yung mga kwento and tips nila about sa AU, and dami ko naman natutunan sa knila. Another tip ko sa mga pupunta dito is dont be afraid to say "Kabayan?" & hello sa mga fellow Pinoys, who knows, you might be meeting God-sent angel to help you land your job. =)

    And my best advise? Bring lots of prayers, smiles, determination and hope (and syempre, budget). As of the moment, sobrang miss ko na wife & kids ko, kaya naisipan ko mag-post ng experience ko dito, baka sakali may ma-inspire pa ko, rather than magmukmok sa homesickness. Hoping to be able to bring them over in about 2 month's time. =) Goodluck & Godbless to all OZ-bound pinoys! Cheers!

    @cind3r3lla, yeap my mga ibang option din pla na closely related sa work experience at educ bg ko.pwede nga yang instrumentation, equipment maintenance, communications, telemetry, digital controls, etc. lakasan na lang ng loob ika nga
